After our local veterinarian declined to perform a recommended surgery for bladder stone removal on our 3 yr old Papillon, we sought care from Dr. Kennedy. We had used his services over the years for other animals that our routine vet could not/would not treat and had always been satisfied. This time, both he and his staff were rude from the beginning and acted like they wanted us to know they were doing us a favor. Post operatively when we picked up our dog (the same day of surgery) he was covered in vomit, blood, his excrement, and fur from some other animal! When we asked the receptionist that brought him out for something to clean him with, she sprayed a paper towel with cleaning fluid and handed it to me, right in the waiting room. I had to get wipes from my car and spend approx. 20 minutes cleaning him up enough just to feel like his incision was not exposed to filth. It took another hour to clean him up completely after we got home! We got absolutely no after care instructions other than "he might have bloody pee for a few days". We were also told we could bathe the dog, which is definitely something NOT to do after surgery. We asked to speak to Dr. Kennedy, and were told that he was too busy to talk to us! All through the evening/night, he urinated blood every 2-3 minutes. Fortunately, we were able to get him into another vet the next morning and got established with a clinic that we feel will be able and willing to take care of our pets in the future. He already had signs of infection and was placed on a second antibiotic. I wish I could give Hilltop Veterinary Services a negative star.....or two!!!

Our 1 year old cat had surgery for a kidney stone, we get our cat home and called them repeatedly telling them that our cat looked really bad and they told us not worry about it he would be fine, that evening he died. Still didnt stop them from billing us two hundred something dollars. Then today we had our 1 year old dachshund there for her shots, we get home and she starts swelling up around the face. We call they say give her half a aspirin, we did, 5 minutes later she could hardly walk, there was patchy lumps all over her. I told my wife to grab her and we rushed her there on the way her breathing was labored really bad, thought she was going to die. We get there and the front desk woman was rude and told us to wait in line. I told her to get the vet cause she couldnt breath. After a long wait with no answers at all, she try to bill us for almost killing another one of our pets. I told her we werent paying, she asked I wanted to talk to the vet, and I said yes. They wait until everybody leaves and he comes out and handed me all the papers on all our pets and told us to never come back cause I was being inappropriate? Really? I hope people dont spend so much time blinded like I was, by all the "positive" comments that they loose one of their pets.

I finally got my husband to switch vets last year because the vet he was seeing was over priced and in my opinion not very good at their job considering what happened to a couple of our animals that he chalked up to "they did the best they could." He had another dog get sick and the original vet was going to charge us close to $600 per month treatment(we needed a few months worth for him to get better), we found dr. Kennedy and that $600 treatment was only $200 from him! Huge difference when its the exact same meds! Any how we have stuck with him ever since and take ALL of our animals to him great vet, great staff, great prices!!

Dr. Kennedy is hands down the best vet experience I have ever had in 32 years of owning animals. He treats not only my dogs and cats but also my horses. He is very knowledgeable and has a bedside manner to calm even my biggest fraidy cat (who happens to be an 80lb dog). He also provides phone consults regarding my horses to determine if he truly needs to schedule a barn visit or if we can try home treating. His staff is always a pleasure to deal with and his prices are incredibly reasonable! We live close now, but we started taking our house pets to Hilltop and drove over an hour from Evansville. He was worth every mile!

Dr. Kennedy and staff are the best veterinary clinic around. Though we live in Newburgh and it is an hour away we will make the drive as long as we have animals! He truely cares about his animal patients and their human family! My family has been going to him for nearly 20 years and have not one bad thing to say about our experience. They are work nicely with our schedule and usually always get them in the day we call if needed!

Dr.Kennedy and his staff .....I cant say enough how kind and wonderful they all truly are they made a very hard situation easier to handle. Dr. Kennedy was so kind and understanding, he truly made me feel the best I could in having to put our family dog down and that it was time. I would never hesitate to go to Hilltop Veterinary they were truly wonderful to listen to me and let me share my dogs life with them.

Dr. Kennedy and his staff are the best. We live in Hartford, KY and drive over an hour to get our animals to their office. His prices are very reasonable, and he will not do unneeded test. He is also willing to accommodate us if we need emergency appointments. Hes the best.

Dr. Kennedy is a fantastic vet! We have had several dogs and some of them were challenging personality wise and Dr. Kennedy made them relaxed and happy during their visits; we would highly recommend Dr. Kennedy and his staff!
