I had an up and down experience with the clinic until the end and then the experience was so horrific that I had to post! If I could sue them I would and still may. I began taking my Yorkie in for urinary problems - he was experiencing bladder control problems. Without ever touching him they diagnosed him as having "worms." ??? Okay. End of the medication I took him back, they took a urine sample - still did not touch him - and said his white count was high, he had a urinary track infection. Two weeks later I was back, switched medication, stronger antibiotic, he worsened. THIS time I saw a different doctor who said it was his prostate and he needed an ultrasound. After four months of mis-diagnosis they finally found that he had bladder cancer! The doctor began a course of treatment. Two weeks later my pooch developed a bad cough. The doctor said he had "trachyitis" I specifically asked him if the cough was related to his cancer. He specifically said no, gave him an anti-biotic and told me to stop putting him on a leash. The ONLY time my pooch was ever on a leash was to go in and out of their office! Two weeks later, while in AR visiting family, we took our pooch to a vet there to see about the worsening cough. They did a thorough exam, feeling of his abdomen, taking test, bloodwork,x-rays, and more. The cancer was in his liver, his pancreas, the mass was so large that it was pressing on his lungs and fluid had built up around his heart. HAD we caught this earlier, HAD he been diagnosed FOUR or FIVE months earlier, had the cough been treated I would not be writing this as the owner of now deceased, beloved Yorkie with a very broken heart. They DO NOT know what they are doing. They act like they do. They act like they care. They will put all of the information in the computer but they never touch your pet. Yes, they are there all of the time but what good does it do if they cannot properly care for your pet! If I could have them shut down I would! So I am doing the next thing possible - warning you, the pet owner.. DO NOT PUT YOUR PET IN THEIR CARE!!

If there are ten stars - Id give them. A year ago, after moving to Avon, I made several calls to the area animal clinics. We have three cats and their wellness is very important to us. I was most impressed with the Avon Vet Clinic, which is now part of Animal Care Group LLC. Their prices were fair and the staff was friendly on the phone. With three cats, weve been to the clinic several times over the years for minor procedures, regular shots and check ups as well as illness. They ALWAYS work hard to get us in as soon as they can when its urgent. They provide really amazing care for our three cats. ALL of their doctors and staff are really great to deal with. As a matter of fact, I dont have a preference as to which doctor I see when we go in. They are all very knowledgeable and take great care of the animals. At the time of writing this, they also ofter late night "emergency" hours until Midnight 5 or 6 nights a week. This is so nice as we have often taken a sick kitty in who had to stay a while for extra special treatment. On top of their staff, quality of care and extended hours - their prices are affordable.

My dogs is dead because of them and now my cats life is at risk because of their negligence. Horrible. Lied about my dogs blood test more than once and told me she was fine. I knew she wasnt because she was having seizures (which I told them, but they blew it off) so we tried a new vet and when they called avon vet clinic to get their numbers from the last blood test new vet was angry and said my dogs issues could have been fixed over a year ago. The numbers were plain and clear! I also took my cat in right around that same time to have them look at a bump on his neck. They barely looked at it and said not to worry hes fine. After finding out about them lying about my dog I took the cat to the new vet and they actually looked at him and did a biopsy and its cancer. These people do not care about the animals or know anything about them. Save yourself and your pet the suffering and heartache and tell them to a real vet. A real vet listens to their heart, takes their temp, listens to how you describe whats going on and actually looks at your animal. This vet has never done any of that.

I went to this clinic from good reccomendations. I had two Rag Dolls. A male and a female. I had to have them declawed to keep them when I moved. Fairly simple common procedure. When my mother picked up my cats the male was crying and fussing,,... and even though they kept them an extra day due to the holiday right after she picked him up in the car on the way home he died. The female was lethargic,.. I took them both back in,. the vet claimed they didnt do anything wrong and offered to dispose of the remains at a charge for the male and claimed that the female was just still in post surgery drug influence. I took the female home and had planned to make a claim against the clinic. She died the following day. This clinic over aneasthetised my cats to death. I filed a claim and their board "investigated" but nothing ever came of it. These people are killers. And of course they didnt even offer to compensate me so that I might adopt new cats, Rag Dolls are pricey.

Great! I am very surprised to see some of the review for Avon Vet Clinic. I moved to Indiana from Phoenix and started using Avon Vet Clinic at the recommendation of my pet sitter. My experience has been fantastic and its clear Dr. Mehringer has the best interest of the animals he sees at heart. Im also SHOCKED to see complaints about pricing. From someone who has spent thousands of dollars caring for pets over the years, I think Avon Vet Clinics pricing is very reasonable. I price shopped having my cat declawed (even though Im happy with Avon) for the best price and Avon ended up being the best. As a pet owner with 3 dogs and 2 cats (and lots of experience with vets), I highly recommend Avon Vet Clinic!

I brought my dog in for his very first appointment, and was immediatly turned off the moment I walked in the door. I went to check him in, and had to wait at the counter for what seemed like forever, because the 2 receptionists were too busy with their personal conversations. Once checked in, was taken back to a room by a very kind assistant. The doctor later came in, no smile, no introducing herself, nothing. I felt so put off, like we were wasting her time. Later at checkout, had to wait again for the receptionists to finally recognize me & finish our visit. The prices were reasonable, but I am more than happy to go elsewhere now.

Horribly un-professional and careless! We went in today because my dogs ear was bothering him, and they said he was due for his 3 year rabies vaccine. I questioned it because I knew he had it just last year and wasnt due for two more years and they assured me that I was mistaken. I let them give it to him and then they checked their computer and I was right. He had just had it not even a year ago! They over-vaccinated him and then assured me it was no big deal. Then expected me to pay for the visit. Dr. Amanda Cole is a careless veterinarian!
