Dr. Kanach provided a misdiagnosis of our pet that led to her death within 12 hours. Even after seeing that our Bichon was bleeding through her urine he sent her home to return to him the following morning for an expensive surgery that was unrelated to her issue. She did not make it thru the night, yet his only concern was to get her back to him for surgery. They overcharged us for an inadequate evaluation, as well as several expensive tests and sent us home with a dying dog. They did not tell us the truth about her prognosis, even though it only took the IVEC doctor 10 minutes to diagnose her and share honestly with us about her problems. Dr. Kanach is not honest, he hides behind his staff, and the only thing he seems to be interested in is overcharging for treatments, meds, x-rays and tests, not the best care of our animals. Feel free to find me on FaceBook for more details if you want to help others to discover the truth about this doctor and clinic. Dr. Kanach, hope i spelled that right, but he is awesome!!!!! Have had pets my entire life and most vets are wanting to really just medicate our furry friends and Dr. Kanach is real!!!! Point blank!!! He isnt there to take every dime and penny and he is a normal human. He doesnt speak to you like an idiot or talk down His whole staff is polite and courteous and just highly highly recommend Above and Beyond for your fur babies!!! Thank you very much Dr. Kanach My kitty is bak to normal and just THANK YOU!!!!! He could have said or made me do all the tests and mumbo jumbo but again he is real. Id rather keep going to a vet/dr that cares and listens rather than just hunt for money!!!!! Keep up the good work and again many thanks for your help and quick nature

They should rename themselves "Nickel and Dime" ... Because that is what they do. I spent the equivalent of a mortgage payment on a simple ear infection. Admittedly, the staff is nice, but they need to rethink their pricing schedule and their "upsell" sort of strategy of doing business. I cancelled all of my appointments and took my dog elsewhere. EVERY TIME I called or came in for an appointment, I felt taken advantage of, praying on the love of my pet to bill me a disgusting amount of money or suggest and/or scare me into a new test or technique.

Dr. Kanach and his staff saved our Rescue Cats Life (Several years ago.) Yes, its more expensive than Dr. "Hackjob" down the street. Would you take your Children to some Cheap, Back Alley Clinic To Get Care ? As, with "Human Medicine", So goes "Pet Medicine"....It is called "Practicing Medicine" For A reason...It is NOT an Exact Science. You have to be a Educated and Responsible "Pet Care Taker"... And that means Choosing the BEST !! Above & Beyond Animal Care.

Very friendly, thorough and caring staff and doctor. As for pricing- Im always blown away at the prices. It doesnt matter what vet practice Ive been to. Just like human health care! Id rather pay more and get quality service than pay less for bargain-basement care. Overall- very pleased with Above & Beyond Animal Care.

Highly recommend Dr. Kanach and his staff and strongly disagree with the negative review below. We all know not all illnesses can be cured and symptoms can be very much alike. Dr. Kanach has given my cat another chance at a very promising future for how ever long it may last....we thank him.

He Paid 200 dollars for a bottle of insulin at Meijers. As far as I know my dog only received one shot before she died. Kind of odd a vet wouldnt have insulin on hand.
