We have used Dishmans for the past few years because of the nearby location, but have been disappointed in their poor customer service and lack of rapport. The support staff generally appears tired and unenthusiastic. They have the collective personality of a slice of white bread. The last straw was today, when I went to pick up a prescription for one of my dogs. I was running a little behind and was going to be getting there right at closing. We called to let them know and they informed us that they would not wait a minute longer than closing. I arrived 2 minutes before they closed and nearly hit them in the parking lot as they were leaving. They let me go by and watched me park right before they all drove off the lot. They left early, knowing I was on the way, and could not even bother to roll down a window and inform me that they were closed before they took off to something I am sure was super important. I would highly recommend Dr. Jan Strothers at the North Alabama Cat and Bird clinic in Hartselle. They always treated us and our pets like family and we plan to return as their customers.

Absolutely the best. Dr. Dishman and Dr. Griffith are extremely caring with my dogs and cat, willing to work with me on a plan of care when needed (and since I adopt older dogs, it is quite often needed). When Ive had to euthanize a beloved pet, the staff and Doctors are caring and courteous. Dr. Griffith has answered the phone herself after hours to handle emergency calls. I was in a bind once, trying to get too much done in too little time, had my dogs in the kennels there, and did not want to leave them over the weekend. I called and asked if I could be 15 minutes late (after closing) to pick them up so they did not have to stay in the kennels the entire weekend. No problem. Someone on the staff stayed late and my dogs went home with me.

They neutered my pup with no problem but their customer service is lacking. The first time I boarded him, the lady did not mention Sunday pick-up even after I said, "Well I guess you guys are like the rest and I have to pick him up Monday...." and so even thought I could have picked him up Sunday, she booked him through Sun night. I walked into the vet Monday morning and saw a big sign that said, "Now offering Sunday pickup" and they said theyd been doing it for awhile. Also they will not let you get your scripts through 1800 Pet Meds or anything. Also if you want a price match for any meds, you MUST have it printed out. She wouldnt even take it e-mailed to her. RUDE!

Dishman Animal Clinic is incredible! Weve taken our pets there for over 15 years. The level of care and compassion throughout the life of our babies has been wonderful. They are excellent with all the various stages of life, but we have been especially touched with their dedication and medical management of elder pet health and chronic illness. They go above and beyond in their care and treatment and have always been there for our family during pet emergencies and end of life care. They love animals and that love is reflected in the warm compassionate hearts of every team member! Thank you for being the best veterinarian team in North Alabama!

I just love Dr. Griffith. She takes time with my dog and with me. Answers all of my questions and concerns. Love the staff too. They remember me even though I just pop in 2 times a year. I dont really have to wait as they are usually on time with appointments. I highly recommend them for your pets needs.
