In the past, the doctors have been very capable, and the staff efficient and friendly. But unfortunately, today I have to leave a negative review after years of satisfied service from After Hours. Recently, I took my 5 year old in with a common ailment that required a fairly conventional treatment plan. However, the doctor prescribed a dangerously high dose of the normal medication which was filled by my pharmacist. Luckily, my wife and I are experienced with this medication and immediately recognized there was an error, so we didnt give the dose. My pharmacist expressed concern as well, so he verified with After Hours. They checked internally and insisted it was correct. So I re-checked the mg/mL conversions online, to see if it was possibly an acceptable albeit high dose. But no - all information pointed to an error that constituted a serious safety hazard to a child. The practitioner at my normal PCP confirmed that it was too high a dose even for an adult. I followed up with After Hours, and didnt get back to me right away. The next day on the phone, after the receptionist gave me the runaround, I insisted on escalating the issue and was able to speak to a manager admitted the mistake. She apologized sincerely, but didnt establish a clear plan for adjusting their process to mitigate risk and ensure that this type of mistake wouldnt happen to another family. I left a message a couple of days later, expressing my continued concern, and have received no response. This lack of urgency (and initial incompetence) is obviously not what you want to see from medical professionals that you entrust with your childs care. Imagine if we had just followed their instructions! Its almost incomprehensible that they would be this disinterested in doing more.

Been here three times since its the closest urgent care center to me. The first two times the doctors were okay. The last time, the doctor didnt even give an explanation as to what exactly was wrong with my child and said that antibiotics should fix "whatever" was wrong with him. Thank goodness for his pcp who was able to see him the next day and give an actual diagnosis. The staff here always seems to have a nasty attitude. Ironic that its a pediatric facility because they dont know how to handle infants and children who are befittingly cranky because theyre sick. Also, a word of advice to the front desk-Please learn that there are TWO forms of Amerigroup insurance. One that requires a copay and one that does not. They charged me a copay each time I took my child here, even though I told them that my childs plan does not require a copay at any medical facility. They demanded that I paid or else my child would not be seen. The last thing any parent wants to do is argue when their child is sick and in dire need of medical care, so I reluctantly paid each time. After the last visit, I finally decided to contact the insurance company regarding the copay dilemma I was having each time I brought my child to this facility. Just as Id expected, they concurred that my childs plan requires no copay-ANYWHERE. What a scam! I cant bother to fight with them for my money back at this point. Its not worth the hassle of coming here to deal with snarky attitudes, doctors who cant properly diagnose your child(ren), and paying for services that your insurance already covers. If your child is sick, youre better off driving to your nearest er.

My very first visit was on Monday night, 01.04.2016, we arrived t 9:47pm and the front office stated that there was an hour wait. No problem for me because I did not want to take my child to the Emergency Room. An hour passed and we were seen. Yes, it was late and yes, children were cranky however the staff was professional and even conversed a little with the parents. Dr. Noel was very attentive and conducted an in-depth inquiry session to pre-determine the diagnosis for my child. The x-rays were read to us and the doctor did state that he needed an extra set of eyes to confirm his diagnosis. He looked so tired but was determined to get us out of there as soon as possible. Finally, he provided me two options for a speedy recovery and gave his opinion on either the holistic or medical/scientific approach. I would definitely recommend this place and return again. Great Job After Hours Pediatrics Urgent Care!

Took my 3 y/o son there on a Sunday because he was complaining about his ear hurting. Figured it may be an ear infection, so went here to have a Dr. take a look and prescribe antibiotics if needed. This is exactly what was done. Nothing more. They collected no money from me that day but then sent me a bill for $300!!!! For an ear infection!!!! At the office, they have prices posted for various "levels" of treatment. Level 1 treatments start at $100 or so, Level 2, $150.... It goes up from there. Since all the Dr. did was look in my sons ear, I assumed there was no way it would be anything more than a level 1 or 2 at the most. They sent me a bill for a Level 4 Treatment!!!! When I called billing, they said "yep, an ear infection is Level 4" When I asked what Level 1, 2, or 3 is they couldnt tell me. Bottom line, this place is a SCAM. They will gouge you. Go elsewhere.

I took my child here and the doctors bedside manner was horrible. He wasnt interested in hearing my childs symptoms or answering any questions. I spent two days caring for my sick child and observing her symptoms. This doctor spent less than 30 seconds with her and hardly asked any questions before leaping to a diagnosis. After his ill conceived diagnosis, he gave a general examination of looking in her ears and throat. He apparently confused a tongue depressor with a child gagger. I brought my baby here to make her better and this doctor only made her worse. After the treatment we received from this "doctor" Im seriously questioning his credibility and DO NOT recommend these pediatric services to anyone.

I cant thank them enough for the treatment and customer service that I had there. They were kind, patient, professional and knew what they were doing. They did everything above and beyond, everything that they could possibly do in a After Hours facility to make sure that my son would get better from his ear infection. And he did. Yesterday was his one year birthday and thank to them, he was happy and healthy. :) They wont treat your child as a number. They will treat him as a little person :) Aww and not forgetting about the nurses and adm. assistants: they are all very professional and kind as well. My baby loves them and only cry because of the shots. Lol...Thank you thank you thank you. You guys rock!!!!!!

My experience was Very HORRIBLE the doctor was so rude walk into the room with his mouth full of food can barley talk to me then he ask me a question about what was going on with my son went to tell him and he basically told me to hush and let him finish telling me what was going on if I didnt have my kids with me I would have straight him really quick I am almost a medical graduate and I know thats NOT how you talk to someone who trust you with there child......I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN I WOULD RATHER WAIT AT THE ER all night before I return to this place.....MY RATING IS A "0"
