Wacky Fiasco

I have been going to these people for twelve years, since before my daughter was born. The Salinas are incredibly nice people. Sad to say, before you get to see them nowadays, they have implemented record-keeping "protocols" that require you to completely fill out your information - no not just any changes that may have occurred, but EVERYTHING - at every yearly visit. I usually have to see them twice each year, with the second visit for that extra-detailed clicker hell of a vision test, so not looking forward to that I already really dont want to go in, yet to have to repeat name/address/phone/email paperwork on top? The receptionist consoled me by stating that perhaps by next year those forms will be available online so I could fill it all in ahead of time each visit, instead... No thank you. I walked out. If you dont know me after twelve years to make me have to repeatedly do that, then I guess you never will. Im done. Incidentally, this was also the reason I fired my endocrinologist and went to another doctor for my hormone treatments. For the amount of money that gets charged to us and our insurance, we can ask to be treated decently, even at check-in. I see multiple doctors for various conditions and have made a career of filling out paperwork, all while suffering from peripheral neuopathy in my fingers. It s not necessary to make your patients repeat filling in paperwork with the information you obviously already have. Ask for any changes, certainly, but dont do this crap.

I was going to this office for about two years with no complaints. In general the office was friendly and helpful. However, I recently bought two pairs of glasses and was patiently waiting for them to arrive. After a week I called the office. Lisa told me shed "call me back" with an update. I was a bit annoyed since I literally cant walk down the stairs or find the back door without my glasses (I was having to wear contacts from 6am-11pm). Unfortunately, nobody returned my call that afternoon. Thus, I called the next day, a Friday, and listened to a voicemail saying they were out on vacation for two weeks! Apparently no staff answered any phone calls or returned messages for those two weeks. Hence, Ive been straining my eyes and experiencing blurry vision/tension headaches for 3 weeks. Needless to say it was inconvenient and frightening in case of an emergency. Today the office finally opened from vacation and I was able to get my kidnapped glasses. They didnt apologize, I didnt rant, I just wanted to leave. As a result, Ill be looking for a new eye doctor in the area.

Dr. Salinas is a fantastic optometrist! I have been going to his office for about 2 years, and the service I have received has been excellent. The office environment is perfect and his staff is very courteous and attentive to the patients needs. Salinas is a perfectionist and spends the necessary amount of time with his patients. This is a good quality, since we never feel that he is rushing to complete the eye exam. His sister, Lisa, manages the office and she is truly a caring professional. She always receives you with a smile. It is easy to evidence that both Dr. Salinas and Lisa maintain a positive professional relationship with their patients. I am happy that I found this office, and my eyes and I thank them :) Gisela

My appointment was for 9:40, it wasnt until 10:06 they led me to the back. By that time I was a little upset and wondering what was going on. Then when I finally met Dr. Salinas I realized what was taking so long... He was actually talking to me, asking me questions, finding out what was going on with me. In a world where most doctors rush you in and out of their office, this guy is actually taking time with his patients to get to know them. I really like Dr. Salinas and I would recommend him to anyone looking for an eye doc, this guy ids the real deal. JR PS - Lisa was pretty awesome too and got me squared away quickly and even found a work around to an insurance issue I had.

My family and I all go there and have been going there for 3 years now and we simply love the office and the original staff. Things happen and Lisa is always so busy for I have seen her when I am there for an appointment and the doctor is simply great. They have hired a few girls and maybe they still are not as efficient as Yahaira and the girl that normally called us to the back, sorry I forget her name. But over all I will stay with them and dont plan on changing him, I had something in one eye and he found it and sent me to a specialist and I thank him for that. We would definitely refer people to them. I too had to wait 2 1/2 weeks for my glasses but I just waited it out.

I have been seeing Dr. Salinas 7 years and really like his practice. I feel my eye health is expertly cared for by Dr. Salinas. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. I find Lisa exceptional in her knowledge and help. They are very warm and caring there. Finally, I really, really appreciate that even when I choose to fill my prescription elsewhere, they dont treat you like a traitor or try to sell you something you dont want. In fact, they are quick to assure you if your glasses will continue to meet your needs. Thanks, Dr. Mike & Lisa!!

Our family has been going to Dr. Salinas for 3 yrs. My children enjoy the quick but thorough visits. I know every mom would appreciate. My spouse and I enjoy the friendly visits and the great knowledge of the staff as well. They have a great selection of frames from high end brands to nice low cost frames. The office is clean, nice and a great location. They have a great reminder systems options. Reminders via email or texting or both. Which I need due to my busy schedule. They have high -end testing Technology.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Salinas for 9 years, and have been completely satisfied with his treatment and management of our eye health. We both used the mono- vision single contact lens for distance, and when my cateract surgery was needed he sent me to his recommended choice, and all was well. His office is all about what is best for me, and doesnt mind suggesting the most economical solutions for us. I recommend Dr. Salinas to anyone needing eye care.
