I can tell you that I started going to Dr McGoldrick when he first started his practice with my brand new Chi Tucker. Tucker got very sick and I was sick with worry. I have never met a more compassionate and warm Doctor that you know REALLY CARES for your babies. Each and every person that works there care deeply for your furkids. Dr. McGoldrick called me and walked me through every step because I was very tight with money and it was looking like Dr McGoldrick might have to go in and see if there was some deeper issue that test were not showing. He allowed me to take Tucker home but, called me the next day eary to check on him and then had his staff follow up with me every couple of hours until the seriousness of Tuckers conditioned passed. I was thankful that he was willing to wait and access things before going right into surgery. I feel confident and comfortable that if at anytime he would have taken a turn for the worse he would have been right there no questions asked. I love his whole staff they are like family and I feel very comfortable putting my furkids in their hands. They also walk you through the cost of everything before they do anything so, there are no surprises at the end. If you are not using them you are missing out. I promise you will NOT be disappointed.

Progressive, compassionate and well-versed. My three dogs and I have been with Dr. McGoldrick for about seven years. Finding Dr. McGoldrick was not easy as I had become increasingly concerned with veterinarians in what appeared to be an obvious and direct relationship between the customers’ animals’ care and their bank account; exorbitant overcharging on medication and baseless recommended care had become the norm until I visited The Vet Clinic of Palm Harbor. Over the years Dr. McGoldrick has without exception demonstrated modernism with his keen interest in advanced medicine mixed with a traditional balance of compassion and care for both his two-legged and four-legged clients and patients. Dr. McGoldrick is different. During the death of two of my dogs, he sat on the floor quiet with my dogs and I; his compassion and devotion to my dogs was genuine and real not to mention comforting. Dr. McGoldrick’s dedication is the genesis of his customer-service oriented staff; they will ALWAYS call you the day after an appointment to check on your pet. If you are looking for a veterinarian who will celebrate and respect your animal as much as you do, my experience has proven you will find no one more befitting. Dr. McGoldrick is second to none.

When we moved to FL in 1998 with our best guy - Rascal - a rambunctious Chihuahua, I was referred to the Vet Clinic -- then owned by Dr. Bogart. One day I go in and am told she is gone and a Dr. McGoldrick has bought her practice! Well, I was not a happy camper. So I made an appointment, not for my Rascal, but for me to interview this Dr. McGoldrick!!! That was in 2003 -- and we now consider Dr. & Mrs. McGoldrick as members of our family. We lost our precious Rascal - Dr. McGoldrick and Kris were right there with us - as was their staff - comforting us in the kindest of ways. Over the course of the years we added two beautiful little girl ChiChis -- Schotzi and Lucy. And just this year a new little man came into our life -- TBoy. We also recently added Dr. Parks to our family as she cared for our aging Schotzi during a tough bout with her pancreas and arthritis. I have had animals all my life -- been to many vets -- but never have my pets -- my precious family members -- been treated with such care, kindness, consideration, love, empathy -- as they are by Dr. McGoldrick and each and every member of his staff. They have been and will continue to be a blessing to our family.

I give this vet hospital the highest rating because of several reasons. We had an emergency with our dog - with a pretty serious UTI - and with other pretty serious cases ahead of our own, Dr. Shirley and Kristy really worked hard to get our baby comfortable. The clinic is super clean and does not smell like pets are even present. They offer products that have scientific testing to back them and price wise are pretty comparable with items you may already buy from places like Petsmart, etc. they did not "pad" their bill with any unnecessary testing or procedures either. You could really feel that they genuinely love each and every patient. We also like the highly organized way they run their practice. It did not seem chaotic, they use the Internet and, having 3 dogs, I like how each of the receipts are personalized with the patients picture on them. Great, great place I would recommend to anyone, especially if they are new to the area or are looking for quality care that feels more like a family doctor than "a trip to the vet."

Last week I took my Bichon in to get his teeth cleaned because he had such bad breath. I thought he might have a bad tooth, but what I found out was that all his teeth were rotten and his entire mouth was infected. They had to pull all of his teeth. I felt so horrible. I was sure it was my fault. But when I came in to pick him up after the surgery, the doctor spent almost 30 minutes with me showing me pictures they had taken during the surgery of why it had to be done (of course they had called to get my approval) and showed me how extensive the problem was. He was so kind and never made me feel like it was my fault, though Im sure it was. The entire staff was so kind and caring. They have called each day to check on him and I did have to take him back for an antibiotic shot because he was not eating and I couldnt give him the pill. If you love your pet please check their teeth. And if you need a vet, I would highly recommend them. They really do take care of your pet and really care.

This place is the worst place you can bring your pet, Im a local breeder and trainer of show dog and have been for 15 years plus, everytime i call this place to care for my dogs they extremly over charge and add on testing thats not nessaray, seeking care from this clinic is like going to the auto mechanic to get your brakes fixed and you walk out with a bill for a couple thosand because they found "other problems". I got a quote from them for a c-section at 1400 to 1800, when the vet right down the street are charging 1000, once i told them this they called me back saying they could do it for 1200-1400. If you call around there fees are near double what other vets are charging, from surgeries to simple shots. You been warned you want a vet that will drain you dry you have found one.

Stop searching... you have found your Vet! I cant say enough about both Dr. Parks and Dr. McGoldrick and staff. Going above and beyond is an understatement for this group of caring individuals. The care my pets have received is like none other. On several occasions they have taken free time to call me or come out in the lobby to speak to me regarding a situation I was having with one of my pets (without an appointment). Every single piece of advice I have received has been spot on! I trust anything that they recommend. The staff is equally patient and caring! There is no other place to take your beloved pet!
