This is not the same clinic it used to be. I dont live near this clinic, but made the drive each time my dogs needed to be seen over the years. Since Dr. Molina is only available part-time, the quality of care has suffered. The higher charges and multiple recommendations are one thing, but the lack of expertise and professionalism by Dr. Certa is unacceptable! My dog had blood tests done and after receiving the results which were inconclusive, I received a call that I needed to bring him in for an exam and urinalysis which was quoted under $100 as I had already spent nearly $200 on the bloodwork (and I was informed by Dr. Certa that I should not listen to an assistant because they dont know what theyre talking about). Its not the cost Im upset about, its the lack of attention and caring that was not received. When I showed up for my appt., I was asked why I was there, so I explained. When we were taken back to the room, I again was asked why I was there. No one seemed to know what I had been told on the phone. Then when I told the vet that my dog was snippy with me, he was not comfortable with him at all and appeared to be afraid he might bite him, even though I reassured him he had never bitten anyone at the clinic before or even attempted to. I have never seen a vet less comfortable with an animal before. Dr. Molina had always been extremely comfortable with him and all of his assistants too (the ones that had been there a long while and were very, very adept and helpful). My dog was even more responsive to them than to me!!! So after a "non-exam" as I call it, because there was no initial check of temperature, eyes, ears, skin, etc. only a quick feel of the abdomen and I was told because the dog was "tense" he couldnt really feel for what he needed to feel for. Long story short, after a long wait for the results (I could have dropped it off!) I told them that I was not paying for an exam my dog didnt receive, only the urinalysis. The vet came back in and we argued back and forth about what had transpired, with him being very rude, unprofessional, and threatening to refuse to tell me the results of the urinalysis stating that he legally didnt have to and began to walk out of the door. So I told him that I legally wasnt paying for a test that he was refusing to give me the results of. He was visibly shaking and out of control and admitted he was extremely upset. He then calmed down and did the exam that should have been done initially and explained the results of the urinalysis to me, recommending even more tests and an ultrasound to "rule out" the possibility of what may have been indicated. So it was a very upsetting and frustrating experience to say the least. I will give him credit for following through finally, but I am not returning to this vet ever! I will only return to Dr. Molina when he is available. I am used to dealing with professionals that know how to handle both pets and customers! Im looking for a new vet closer to home. Not spending any more of my hard-earned money on this type of care! I will miss the office workers and assistants, but this vet is not anyone I care to have treating my dogs.

I would not recommend this place to anyone! Walked out of there in tears and feeling like this place is completely uncaring and nothing but money hungry! They refused to tell me a true estimate as to how much the final bill could be for a dental cleaning ... after I was originally told $85 when I asked how much a dental cleaning cost I brought my dog in for a "pre-op" appointment and was told blood work needed to be done first which on paper was $95 but the doctor stated a more thorough test really should be done because my dog is older and it was $145. I did it because regardless of popular belief I do love and care very much for all my animals. I am just not made of money! I repeatedly asked much this could end up costing me and was given a piece of paper with prices that were marked off and other prices written in and a very rudely put statement that we wont really know until we see how many teeth need to be extracted. When I said I really needed a more realistic idea of the total amount I was told that I was cheap and didnt want to spend the money and then I was told to take my dog elsewhere if I was already "complaining" about $200 + as a possible bare minimum without any extractions when we know they are going to say they need to do extractions and the extraction prices are per tooth. All this after $145 has already been spent just for them to draw his blood "and" another $200 + was just spent the weekend before there with one of my other animals that I recently rescued off of Clearwater Largo Rd. Needless to say I took my dog home and wont be taking "any" of my animals back to this place or spending any more of my (however little bit of it there is) hard earned money here! Absolutely awful!

I was first directed to this vet, nearly 15 years ago, when he was first starting out. He came and personally saw every animal, himself. My cat was so sick, he had to have surgery and then was "maintained", for nearly two weeks. Still, this animal hospital charged us only $400+ and I was so impressed with the caring they gave to my pet. On my next visit, I was charged $60 , just to walk in the door. After that, I was not allowed to even walk in the door, without paying for several hundred dollars worth of tests and/or shots. Even though my pet had been a "patient" of his for many years - my pet was turned away, when he was sick, because I could not afford the "tests" and shots that they required.I was left to try and find someone who would treat my pet, and I finally did - only to be told that my pet had Thyroid disease. At that point, even that "nice" vet refused to treat my little furry man, unless I paid them nearly $200 a month, for pills or special food. I could not afford it. So I watched my little man dwindle down to nothing, as I begged vets to please help me....none did. I lost my little man last year and I blame these hateful, disgusting miserable vets - they could have helped him, I just could not afford it. Now I have another dear furry friend, refusing to eat, for the past two weeks and no matter what I do... he hangs his head. Nobody will help me, no vets care - unless I can pay LOTS of money. DO NOT tell me to not get a pet, if I cannot afford one - I have had this wonderful friend, for nearly 20 years and gave him a great, loving home. I do not like this, any more than anyone else does.... This is breaking my heart.

Love this office! Both Doctors are fantastic. I took my pup there for her initial exam and after seeing how good they were decided to take my older dog in too. I was hesitant because she is extremely nervous going to the vet and can get aggressive. I always recommend they muzzle her prior to doing anything. Most places insist on trying without a muzzle initially and it never works. She is well behaved at home but stress makes her aggressive. The dr listened to me the first time I advised using a muzzle and he performed the exam without a problem. Our previous vet prescribed a sedative for vet visits which we gave her an hour prior to coming in but it did not take effect until we got home. After telling the vet we gave it to her beforehand but it had not taken effect yet he said we did not need to do so and that her reaction is normal. I appreciated that he was not afraid of her and was very calm about the situation. I also appreciate that they give printed estimates for the cost everything prior to performing any tests or treatments. Their prices are incredible as well. Truly a fantastic place for primary vet care!
