The care weve received there is about the same as anywhere else Ive been. The issue I have with them is their billing dept. Every time we go to the doctor we are required to pay our co pay at the time of service. Ok, thats standard and we pay. My issue is why do I then get a bill for the visit? On the rare occasion that one of my children didnt have my card with them to pay, they would have to bill us, hence my confusion as to whats been paid. I have received at least 2 refund checks for paying a bill that was paid for at the office when seen. I recently received another bill in October for a doctor that my son saw 6/12/15. I could have sworn this had already been paid for, but to avoid possibly being late I called the billing dept to verify that I in fact did owe the bill before writing another check only to be refunded a month later. She could not tell me! So, she recommended I pay it, which I did. I wonder if Ill get another refund? In the process of looking through my medical receipts file to determine if I had paid this bill, I found a bill from June that I did pay. They billed me in June, I paid July 8th. Before the check had a chance to be received, I received another bill from NPAS, Inc (the company that helps them collect), for the same amount. Not recognizing that this was the same company since the name was different and the invoice looked different, I paid them too. When I realized I overpaid them, I called them today. The billing dept acknowledged that I had a credit balance and she said she would initiate a refund check to me. FROM AUGUST? If my account had a credit balance shouldnt a check automatically be generated without my calling? If I hadnt called would I have ever received a refund? Just curious, because it takes no prompting to be sent to NPAS, Inc before you even have a chance to pay the first bill, and it certainly takes no prompting to get sent to a collection agency. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the billing representatives were at least polite. This is not the first, and I dare say not the last time I will have to encounter their messed up billing dept. Considering the cost of medical care today, I think they should tighten up their game in the billing dept. Frustrated!!!

Matthew H. Etheridge, DPM, FACFAS 6160 North Davis Hwy, 9th Floor West Florida Hospital Mr. Etheridge. I was in need of a podiatrist for a problem with my feet. For some unknown reason I received a referral from NAVHOSP to your business for treatment. I believe I saw you and the diagnosis was I have fallen arches. Your business finally ordered the ortho inserts after Tricare approved it. Approx. 6 weeks after the initial visit, your business called (Theresa) and stated they came in and I had to only come in on a Tuesday to get them. I explained to her I work Sunday thru Thursday and that my off day was Friday. She basically said your business WILL NOT and WOULD not help me on any day but Tuesday. I asked to talk to who ever were next to (below) you to see if I could come in Friday at anytime to get the inserts. The manager under you was very combative to me and said you would not work with or allow me to get them on a Friday. She stated this was the first time a problem like this had ever happened. I feel because of my dealings with those two women, they have no people skills. Unfortunately you are judged by the bad attitudes of your employees. I have called Tricare and they said that they have not been billed from your business. I wanted to inform them that it was a total waste of my time and copay. I have also called NAVHOSP to get a referral to see a podiatrist that knows of and practices The Hippocratic Oath, as they do in the military. As a proud retired military veteran, I am going to talk to the NAVHOSP Commanding Officer concerning my dealings and lack of compassion and working with retirees with pain and special needs. In closing, with the pain I have and the attitude of Theresa and your manager, I feel the need to inform all I can whether it be by social media, reviews online and NAVHOSP. Richard E. Went into the ER for what i thought i had was the stomach bug. I walked into urgent care and they sent me directly to the ER without even seeing me. I sat in the waiting room for 5 and half hours. There was a room full of patients waiting to be seen. There was throw up on two different parts of the floor that had been sitting there. I went into there restroom and there was urine all over the floor with used urine cups for lab all over. After being there for 6 hours without being seen i decided to come back later considering that I had been sitting in a wheelchair for that long. I went outside and waited for my car to be pulled up and the vallet guy told me that the 3:30 shift is a lot better than the morning shift, and they would have the waiting room cleared out within an hour....? so from my understanding the staff is lazy? Absolutely absurd that you would have to wait 6 hours to be seen. Staff kept coming out and asking what peoples DOB was and what they were here for. Ive heard a lot of bad things about this place and now that i came back and was seen by Dr. Durant, he was in a hurry. didnt explain my diagnosis clearly sent me on my way. he said my urine was infected and said hell put me on fluids. Reading my discharge papers I had a kidney infection, that was never explained to me at all. Very dissapointed and considering going to get a second opinion. Sucks you cant trust your providers to give you, or much less explain the treatment or diagnosis.

Just got back from ER. Dec. 23rd 2016 7:33am. I was in lobby waiting for 3 1/2 hrs. I had a swollen foot and were Im flat-footed with no arch at all. The nurse that came in saw it and 15min. Later Doc came in told me to stand up so he can see how bad my arch was. Then said well first u need to loose sum wieght. That would help. And I just started new job wich requires 8-9hr non stop walking. Told him first day was not as painful and I switch to a shoe 2nd day and got worse. All he had to say was what can I do for u that I can only fix broken ankles. And gave me a pep talk also saying were I just started work just to SUCK IT UP. And take motrin. All I wanted was to get sum scan or x-ray to see why it swollen And whats causing pain or if I damaged a tendon. But I was so upset. I wanted to leave so I asked for my papers. And doc. Never came back. I dont know if I can get in trouble for putting his name on here. But I want to. So bad. Should have went 10min. Down the road to sacred Heart hospital. I will never go back there again. Was in back for 20min. Just to get my feelings hurt and turn away with ibuprofen. HORRIBLE DOCTOR. I just want to go back and tell him how he made me feel. If its ok to leave a name on here Google let me know please. Im at sacred Heart hospital now..... if I could it would be no star... Im willing to talk to someone to make sure he doesnt do that to another person again... lucky for him my mom wasnt with me....
