This is a review of the post operative care for my wife when she admitted. They are understaffed and have techs fresh from the lowest demographic on earth. My wife underwent a hysterectomy. They let her lay on the bedpan and left her there for 40 minutes, then took the bloody pan laid it on the counter and used it again without cleaning it two hours later. They also took out her bloody ice pack and left it on the bed, left her without a pad and she bled from the bed to the bathroom. Her care was good until I left. It was so bad, she called me crying and in total pain and upset because not only did they have no concern, they were cruel and yelling at her what they needed to do for her. She was covered in blood. Her leg compression garments were soaked in blood, her gown was soaked. What did my wife need to instruct these professionals to do? Lets start by cleaning the mass amount of blood. So bad, she went from Hemoglobin of 13 to 9. She asked for floor supervisor and they stood there asking her what she needed done as she was sitting there in front of them soaked in blood. The health field has become inundated with people who get into it for the money and low education level and DO NOT need to care for anyone. They understaff which adds to frustration of lower paid workers who lose all concern for patient. No one should put an unsterile and germ ridden bloody bed pan back on the counter and reuse it on a catheterized patient. (they would put bed pan underneath her say they were getting a pad for the hemmorhaging blood (not urine) and then leave here there for 40 minutes or longer and not clean between this if you are wondering why a cathertized patient would be on a bed pan) These few tidbits are only the start of how bad it was. The surgery center was AWESOME and the care top notch but do not get admitted or you will wonder very quickly "What happened?" We have always had good care through ER except for a few off times. We do not live in Gulf Breeze and go to this hospital because it is normally so much better than the mega Pensacola hospitals. We will NEVER admit to this hospital again. It might be post hospitals are getting this way but we were shocked at the level of negligence, horrible treatment and disregard for someone in so much pain, she required 5 mg of dilaudid or more every 3 hours. I went home to sleep and had to get dressed and come back to care for my wife. Once I came back, they did not pull that again.

I would strongly advise staying as far away as possible from this hospital. I went to the ER when I was in Pensacola on vacation with my family because I had an eye infection. It wasnt a serious medical situation, but my eye really hurt and was sensitive to light, and I didnt want to have to stay inside for the rest of our vacation or travel home in misery, so I decided to head to go see a doctor. At the ER, I was seen relatively quickly, but the doctor who examined me was rude as well as poorly trained. He prescribed me antibiotic drops without even looking at my eye. He saw me for a total of 3 minutes. When I got home, I went to an opthamologist who told me to immediately stop the antibiotic drops because I did not have a bacterial eye infection at all. He correctly diagnosed and treated my problem, and luckily I did not suffer any damage due to the misdiagnosis I received from the Guld Breeze emergency room doctor. What I did suffer were two enormous bills from the hospital--one totaling $868.00 from the ER, and one totaling $368.00 from the company I presume pays Dr. Incompetents salary, Pensacola Emergency Physicians. I am still in shock. When I called for an explanation, the woman I spoke to in the billing department could not have been more surly and rude. I am just sick about this whole thing. Not only did I get horrible care at Gulf Breeze, I am now being charged an exorbitant amount to pay for that shoddy care. Ironically, the ER bill costs much more than our entire vacation. I sincerely wish I had just stayed away. EDIT: I looked up the doctor who mistreated and misdignosed me at Gulf Breeze, and his name is Griffin Coffelt.

I would rate these people as 0 stars. They were horrible. I got taken to the hospital in an ambulance and taken to the ER. I am bipolar and they were fully aware of this from before I even got there. They were so rude and mean. They left me in a room in terrible pain and only got to go out for exray. They refused to do a CT scan and I kept requesting one because my head didnt feel right and I had a severe headache and neck ache. When I was to be discharged the nurse practitioner lost his patience and said I needed to leave and he was going to have security take me out. I said Id go no problem. I had a very difficult time walking g and they made me walk all the way out of the building. I had to hobble across the street to whataburger because they didnt even have a bench or anywhere to sit and I could only stand for a few minutes and couldnt walk far. Due to my emotions in the hospital they threatened to call the cops and have me arrested. Dont ever go there I swear they probably have people die on their watch. I was around at Tue treatment and they did nothing to help me. They are not equipped to deal with mental illness.

My family and I had planned our day around going to see the film "Precious" at this movie theater on Christmas Eve. Our dinner plans, the attractions we would visit- all rested on the shoulders of our movie plans at this theater. After all, its just a movie theater- what could go wrong? Well, as it turns out, a surprising amount. We got to the theater around 1:00PM, right in time for the 1 o clock showing. When we walked into the lobby, we encountered other movie-goers sitting with their families waiting for the owners of this hole-in-the-wall theater to show up. Apparently, they had been waiting there for approximately 20 minutes! Discouraged but not completely lost of all hope, we sat down and waited patiently and eagerly for the owners to open up their own movie theater. This effort proved completely hopeless, and we had to completely change our day around because of this unfortunate turn of events. Dont plan on going to this movie theater unless you have a back-up plan.

My late husband was seen there by an extremely efficient staff, was admitted and received great care in that hospital by their hospitalist, Dr. Peoples. My daughter was seen there after a car accident and was treated well, although I was surprised she was sent to wait in the waiting room after arriving by ambulance. Apparently that is the proper triage as she was not hurt badly, just needed to be checked out. I have been seen there twice in the past two months and although Ivy, the triage nurse, was not impressive Billy, the RN and Dr. Hammock were very caring and seemed to carefully consider what was going wrong with me. I got great care and didnt have to wait long at all. I just wish an emergency room could do more than just get you stable because I dont have a PCP. Nobody will take my United Healthcare HMO! And I pay over $500 a month for it. Great times we live in!
