I am very fair and in my 40s with a long history of poor choices regarding my exposure to UV (many bad sunburns in my misspent youth). So, I worry and get my routine skin checks. Dr. Rousseau is the only doctor I will see anymore because no one is as thorough as she is. We moved to Palm Beach county 6 years ago and after trying several in PBC and being disgusted with their considering a cursory glance to be a skin check (not to mention that all their practices are much more focused on cosmetic procedures. Personally, I want my derm to be focused on healthcare). Additionally, I had a benign skin condition that developed in my 20s which I periodically treated through my 30s. When I first went to Dr. Rousseau I asked for an Rx for the same treatment. She was the first and only derm (and Id gotten this Rx from at least 5 different ones in several states) that explained the risks to me (2% chance of permanent liver damage) and said she didnt feel the risks were worth it since the condition it treated was completely benign (just unsightly). This is a huge issue with me when it comes to doctors these days. It is next to impossible to find a doctor that will give you all the information and explain the risk / benefit. I was very pleased that she took the time to go through this with me and agreed with her that it was not worth it. But I was (and still am) very annoyed that none of the other doctors ever mentioned this. Many doctors get annoyed or snide about patients who "google for their healthcare information". Well, stuff like this is why most of us feel the need to do so. Anyway, I highly recommend Dr. Rousseau for anyone whos looking for a serious dermatologist who is concerned with skin health. Shes thorough and professional and treats you like a partner in your healthcare.

Not sure what review to write. I saw this dermatologist ten years ago in a small dankly office and now she is in a bigger office but her bedside manner still lives much to be desired. She improperly diagnosed me with Scabies which caused me emotional torture because the doctor insisted that I went to the movies (not in a movie theater since Pirates of the Caribbean in 2007 with my step kids) and that I had to have had sexual relations or close contact except for a massage in order to contact scabies which I did not have. I have not had sex since my relationship split up in 2007. (Too much info I am sure!) I did have infected mosquito bites that were made worse by rancid massage oil after a massage which is why I went to see this dermatologist in the first place. That and to check a mole on my face and oddity on my knee that my cardiologist said to go to see a dermatologist. I found Dr. Rousseau rude with her unprofessional diagnosis as she determined her diagnosis after two questions but never tested to identify if her diagnosis was correct and determined by site but when I compared myself to pictures and people suffering on blogs I am not experiencing or seeing those symptoms and neither could the doctor. Come to find out I have infected mosquito bites made worse by the rancid massage oil. I guess my house needed a good cleaning but my nerves did not need the stress or the attitude of judgment by the dermatologist. Go figure. I will not be returning to a dermatologist who sizes up diagnoses by her personal personality preferences. Bizarre like the diagnosis. Funny how people how such difference experiences from the same dermatologist. You will have to make your own determination. I also waited over an hour to be seen for my appointment with her.

Horrible horrible horrible! I wsh I never went to her. She uses the cancer word like I use the word hello... she talks and talks but says nothing except you might have cancer or hiv.. she scares people for no reason except she must be sick in the head.. dont trust her and not impressed with her amount of years in practice.. the plaza looks like a war zone and she lies about its progress.. because of her i will never trust a female dr. Simply because I think she is crazy, spare yourself the worry she will give you. I only wish more people will write reviews about these kind of dr.s. My life was turned around because of her all to find out that im totally healthy... karma dr. Rousseau karma..

Ive been a patient of Dr. Rousseau for about 8 years. After having been to another derm in the area previously, I found Dr. Rs attention to detail extraordinary. I will say that she is very business-like. However, I dont mind, Im dont go to doctors offices to find friends. Furthermore, her assistant is personable and does her job with precision. Dr. Rousseau was recommended to me by a friend and i have recommended her to others. I think that all would agree with my observations.

Dr. Rousseau is wonderful. Shes soft spoken and kind and gives you options on your condition and treatment options. The receptionist is also friendly and courteous. I had never visited a dermatologist before, and now I feel like family.

Very nice and professional super kind and gentle. My husband was hesitant and she was very patient. Going back again highly recommend. Place is clean and beautiful assistant has a great personality too.
