The dental hygienist was extremely patient with my unwilling 3 year old. She tried to make it fun for him. I ultimately had to hold him down to allow her to scrape the tarter off his teeth, but she counted out loud for him 10 seconds at a time so that he knew after 10 she would stop-- this gave my toddler a little comfort knowing how long it would last each time, especially after her positive reinforcement after each 10 second interval. The dentist was good also, but I would have liked it better if she did the count for him as well. I suppose she doesnt have as much time to spare being the dentist. She was very nice though. I called before our first appointment to make sure they were not one of those offices that dont allow the parent to go in with their child. I refuse to go to one of those-- I like to know what goes on behind those doors when it comes to MY child. This is definitely NOT one of those offices. Everyone at the office was nice. The office looks very fun with its murals and TVs and game room. I highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good about this dental practice. Not only are the dentists amazing but the hygienists, the billing staff and the admins are all understanding and effective. If all dental practices were this good and run this well, the world would be a better place. Thanks Dr. Owensby for taking such good care of my daughter!

I do not have enough great things to say about our experience at Athens Children Dentistry. They were professional, caring, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them! Wonderful at giving great care while giving the children a great experience.

My daughter and I love this office!! The staff is always friendly and the office is always clean! My 4 year old wants to walk to back alone and that says a a lot because shes shy!
