My wife and daughter have been going here for 2 years, ever since we moved to Michigan. I recently broke a tooth, lots of pain. I had my wife call the Grand Blanc office. They were able to get me an appointment in 5 days. Instead of an appointment specifically for the broken tooth, I was given an appointment to CLEAN my teeth, and nobody seemed to know much about my painful broken tooth. So, after waiting 5 days in pain, I got my teeth cleaned. Dentistries make most money teeth cleaning,so I already knew this places priority. I saw the dentist for about 30 secs,who was extremely condescending, but in pain, I really didnt care. He stated I needed 2 crowns, 1 on the broken tooth giving me pain. So, I asked Office manager if they could get me an appointment before the holidays, so I did not have to have pain for basically a month. She found me an appointment 2 days later, but stated I had to pay 100% of the out-of-pocket, about 50% of $1300. This is usually not a big deal, but I just got out of major surgery on my neck, and was only $90 short. I expected "patient first" mentality, especially since Ive really spent a lot of money here at Convenient Family Dentistry with my Wife and Daughter. She stated that I must pay all 100%, to the penny, or I would not be seen. While in pain, I thought that was a bit much. After knowing I was $90 short, but that I would have another $1400 added to my HSA in 1 week, I figured I’d call and this would not be a problem. So, I called, and the front desk, who, knowing I was in pain, said that they wanted me to talk to Office manager, thinking she would work with me. Well, Office manager called me back, and told me they already "expedited" my appointment, and basically made me feel really “little” that I was $97 short, then cancelled my appointment. I dont know what this place practices, but this was the worst experience I ever had with any type of professional heath care group. Money first, patient second. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

The staff consistently and aggressively pushes for upgrades on services. For example silver fillings over white fillings while telling you your insurance covers it, only to receive a bill in the mail 30 days later for an increased charge. The second time this occurred was for fluoride treatment again telling the customer that it is covered by insurance this time incurring a $47 charge. If your bill is late $8 charges so no disputing your bill. On a positive note they have a very luxurious office setting.
