For many years, I have had issues with acne. Antibiotics helped some, as did various (and costly) prescriptions, but after menopause, my cystic acne became worse and harder to control. I made monthly appointments to see my dermatologist for shots to the affected area,. Finally, my dermatologist suggested that my issue may be related to hormones, and recommended that perhaps I pay Dr. Cox a visit to see if that may help. I did so, and after some initial testing, he designed a hormone replacement plan that specifically met my needs both medically and financially. After about six months of taking my meds, I certainly felt better, but my skin still was having issues. Additionally, I was having more frequent morning nausea and stomach pain; something I had also been dealing with, off and on, for years. When I went in for my 6 month hormone check, Dr. Cox asked me about my face, and as he began to ask more questions, I revealed that I was currently seeing a gastroenterologist to get to the bottom (intentional pun) of my stomach issues. I had had numerous and expensive testing, and was facing additional, more invasive testing. Dr. Cox asked if I had ever had any food sensitivity testing. He suggested that perhaps BOTH my gastro and derm issues had something to do with specific foods that were causing inflammation in my body, resulting in the pain, nausea, and cystic acne. I was intrigued to say the least, and decided to have that testing immediately. Three weeks later, I had the results. I was severely sensitive to egg whites, dairy, almonds, etc... This was terrifying and exciting at the same time. I figured I may as well try adjusting my diet, and have been off all the foods that are highly (or moderately ) likely to cause inflammation. The results have been remarkable. My skin is not perfect, but it is so much improved, even prompting comments from my friends that see the incredible results. I also do not wake up with such severe nausea that would sometimes land me on my bathroom floor for a few hours. Dr. Cox is 100% responsible for bringing me to my present healthy condition. I feel so much better, look so much better, and am down to what I feel to be my optimal weight. I no longer count calories (something I did religiously daily), and just enjoy the foods I can eat. As Dr. Cox went over my test results with me, he made suggestions to help me make the changes in my diet easily and deliciously. He is the most engaged and caring physician I know, and I am so very grateful to him for what he did initially balancing my hormones (making me feel great, physically and mentally), and then getting to the heart of my face and gastrointestinal issues. I recommend Dr. Cox to my friends regularly, and enthusiastically. He is truly a hero to me.

Dr. Paul Cox has been helping to manage my familys health. His approach and focus on how to "live and stay healthy" has proven to be game changers for us. For example - there is an enormous difference between typical physical and the analysis that Dr. Cox performs. His approach peels the onion on potential issues. I was amazed that from one set of blood tests he was able to see changes in my diet - specifically what I was eating for breakfast when traveling for work (not good) and then outlined options to consider which brought the offending results back into normal levels. Truly amazing. Before relocating to Atlanta our GP was a personal friend. Because of that he would figure out how to be available for our family when needed. When we relocated to Atlanta we looked something similar but the traditional practices were difficult to get appointments when needed. With the Concierge Service we have effectively found the same experience we had from an "old friend." Adding Dr. Coxs approach in treating the "whole individual" has made an enormous difference. Strong recommendation for Dr. Cox and his Practice.

Dr. Cox is one of the finest, most astute, well-trained, competent, and CARING physicians I have ever known. He celebrates my cholesterol and A1C going down. He knows the hormone levels I need to have to affect those changes, PROTECT my heart and brain, and help keep me functioning at an optimal level. Further, he is an artist -- a medical arts artist -- with Botox, fillers, and such. The one-two punch of taking care of the insides -- the hormones and knowing "my health numbers" so my body, including my SKIN, have the body chemistry balanced to be at their best -- plus his being the BEST with a "liquid facelift" make him the one-stop shop for HEALTH and BEAUTY. And that makes sense. He is an anti-aging specialist. Working on my health and beauty, from the inside out and the outside in, has me feeling good and people say I look years younger than what I am. I thank Paul Cox for this. Highly recommend!

I went to Dr. Cox after gaining over 20 pounds in one year. I felt that my hormones were off and expressed these concerns to my endocrinologist who treats me for Autoimmune Thyroid Disease. She dismissed me since my TSH levels were fine, and told me to consult a Gynecologist. My Gynecologist only checked my estrogen level and told me it was fine. Dr. Cox ordered an extensive panel of tests, and diagnosed me as estrogen dominant. I pretty much had no testosterone and extremely low progesterone. I was prescribed bio-identical hormones, and immediately started feeling better. Dr Cox is extremely patient and takes a holistic approach to his patients health. His staff is extremely nice and professional, especially his nurse Lora.

The challenge with moving from Atlanta to CA, was finding a new Doctor. Well, I have NOT succeeded in that regard. Not that theres a shortage of physicians in SoCal, its just that when you find someone like Dr. Cox, hes pretty difficult to replace. A Dr. With the knowledge, experience and listening capabilities that far exceed anyone Ive met before. I was his patient for four years prior to my move and Ive been back to see him three times in the span of one and a half. I know at some point Ill locate a Doctor in California but, Im thinking that perhaps, in the meantime, we can clone him? Highly recommend!

I have only good things to say about Dr. Cox and his Oculus staff, they have taken care of me for the past five years-I feel better and I would like to think I actually look better. Dr. Cox takes the time to sit down with you and mapped out a personal plan for you. He is very knowledgeable and will treat you like his only patient. His Oculus staff is excellent and will always make you feel welcomed, do yourself a favor and make an appointment, you will not be disappointed.

When I found Dr Cox last year I was unable to get life insurance at a good rate due to my blood work. The insurance company referred to me as a high risk due to liver enzines as if I was a drinker. Over a period of 6 months of following his direction I have been able to get life insurance at a highly perfered level . I have the health of a 20 year old and weigh less than I did in high school. Thanks to Dr Cox and his team I live a healthier and happy life.
