Called for a cleaning since my insurance was exhausted for the year and I was paying out of pocket. They said "we have a $59 special" so I made an appointment. Assistant was very nice and spent an hour doing x-rays and inspections of my teeth... remember I called for a cleaning. After all the nonsense they walked in and said I was not eligible for the special and required a deep cleaning for $231. My teeth have been cleaned every 6 months for 40 + years. This was a pure, on purpose bait and switch. They could have told me up front where this was going but purposely did not hoping that I would cave after being there for so long. I bit my tongue to keep from unloading on the assistant and the dentist, who by the way could not wait to get out of the room. I politely left with a $40 bill, a $231 estimate and NO cleaning. Went back to my regular dentist, paid $165 for the cleaning, had a laugh with them regarding my experience at Family Dental of Canton and went on my way. I cant believe the gall of some professional businesses. All that education and nothing but a 1950s auto mechanic style bait and switch. Ill add that the waiting room was empty in the middle of the day while all other dentists were booked for weeks. Since the overhead on the building is so high I guess they are desperate for revenue. Would not surprise me to see a For Lease sign on the building in the next year or so. So disappointing. Buyer beware of this dentists practices... pun intended.

I started out getting a crown when I moved down to GA at a dentist off Riverstone pkwy and had 1 of the worst experiences ever. I clearly had to find another dentist that could fix the problem. So after some thorough checking around I ended up at Family Dental of Canton, I scheduled An appointments to fix what needed to be taken care of and 2 years later Im still going to them. Ive had nothing but great experiences there, Dr. Darnell makes you feel comfortable, is extremely professional, and doesnt make you feel like shes ready to run out to the next patient after being in the room for a min or 2 like many other drs in all different practices have the ability to do, which clearly makes you want to walk out of their office.....very quickly! To me its just as important, whether its a hematologist, orthopedic, or dentist that somebody may have to visit....they should all treat you like you matter as a individual patient. There arent enough drs now a days that make you feel like you matter, so this is without a doubt a great place to go. The staff has always been attentive and informative. Lena seems to always be the assistant that works with Dr Darnell and I have been extremely content and happy with her performance, down to earth personality, and handling of my visits. I want to make sure to thank this office for taking such good care of me on my visits. They are very appreciated and recommended in my book!!!

Dr. Darnell and her staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I used to be afraid of the dentist until I visited Family Dental of Canton. I feel like they genuinely care about me and my dental health. They can fit me in at a time that is best for me, and they notify me with texts, a call and emails to remind me of my appointment time. Ive had cleanings, extractions, fillings, and crowns done and the work is great! The office is so clean, and bright, calm and relaxing. You really feel like youre in good hands. My regular hygienist and assistant are super nice, and I just love them to pieces. Seriously, I would recommend Family Dental of Canton to anyone. I used to be afraid of seeing the dentist because I needed so much work done, and now - Im not! I enjoy going to see the staff, catching up like old friends, and thanks to them, Im not embarrassed to smile any more. I love my teeth and my dental health and am really truly thankful for their work and care.

I have been coming to this practice for a couple years now. I am usually a dentist dream. The see me coming and $$$$$. I normally am scared of dentists. However, since I have been coming here I love the dentist and look forward to appointments now. My daughter had a terrible experience when she was very little and has Bern terrified of them she loves coming to the dentist as well. The entire staff from the front to back are all incredible. Its like visiting a friend. I will never have to change dentist again. If you scared or nervous no matter the reason, they all will put you at ease. I promise you love this place. One more thing since I have been coming here I have to say my favorite hygienists for me is Heather. My husband, and kids have each seen different ones and they loved them but I feel bad I dont remember all their names. Also, if you do fluoride try caramel it is awesome.

This place is awesome! They are very accommodating. Especially for someone who was terrified by a man in a "Dental Van" as a child enough to pull my own tooth, to avoid any dentists at any costs!!! They are gentle, knowledgeable, caring, informative and just kind. I needed work done in the worst way. They did not make me feel bad about the shape my dental health was. In fact they were extremely helpful in advising me what my next steps were. Frankly put, I trust them. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a family office I could take my kids, husband and I. Well this is it!! Weve found a home. I would highly recommend this to my family and friends. And to anyone who is terrified of dentists, give them a try. Trust me, youll leave with a complete different outlook on the profession. I know I did. And Ive had 36 years of FEAR!!!

Received the worst care ever by any dentist. Charged $1900 to clean and scale my husbands teeth. He has parkinsons and we are retired on a fixed income. When we returned 2 weeks later for a review, we were told that several of his teeth needed to be pulled. This was after they charged $300 per tooth to clean and scale. He was examined by the dentist before the treatment. Why didnt the dentist recognize that he would need teeth removed BEFORE he charged so much per tooth? I cannot recommend this dentist office to anyone. Run away before they get into your pocketbook. We are now paying on his cleaning monthly and will be 2 years before it is paid off. We saw another dentist who reviewed our bill from Family Dental of Canton and were told they charged twice the going rate.

We have had some very unpleasant experiences at our childrens Pediatric Dentistry. Because of such, my 8 year old has dental anxiety and always pleads that we come in the room with him. Until today, we have ALWAYS been denied. Family Dental of Canton let me sit in with him during his entire procedure and because of such, I left with a very happy boy. The staff was extremely friendly and explained all of the out of pocket expenses up front. Also, our co-pay ended up being less than quoted so that is always a bonus. Dr. Wilder was very kind and accommodating and my child actually left smiling! I prefer a happy dental visit over balloons and free toothbrushes any day. I am so glad we came here and will definitely be switching over for our entire family!
