I took my 10 yr old to the hospital because she had a sharp pain on her left side. When we arrived the staff at the ER were very pleasant, caring, and concerned about my child. We were taken to our room, and while we waited to see the doctor, my child began to vomit. I called the nurse, (who was very sweet) and told her what was going on. They brought her something for nausea, and I asked the nurse to give her something for pain. My 10 yr old was doubled over crying, shaking, and was all over the bed. She couldnt sit still, the pain was unbearable. The doctor ordered some ibuprofen, the nurse gave it to her, and not even 5 minutes passed before she was vomiting again. I called the nurse again, expressed my concern, and the doctor ordered more nausea meds. The nurse gave her the nausea medicine, 10 minutes later, the nurse came back with some Tylenol. She gave her tylenol, I then asked to speak with the doctor. 45 minutes later the doctor comes in and I told her that the "pain medicine" was not working. To give her something stronger. Her response to me was, we dont give anything stronger for pain, then turned around and walked out. As soon as she left my daughter began to vomit again. The doctor ordered more nausea meds, along with Xrays of her abdomen and side. After an hour of waiting, she finally came back and said my daughter had a urinary tract infection. I told her that I didnt agree with what her diagnosis was. She said " your daughter has blood in her urine". Of course she has blood in her urine, she is on her period! She does not have painful urination, this is not a UTI. She ordered antibiotics, with more nausea medicine. The nurse gave her the meds, and not even 5 minutes later, my daughter began to vomit. She released us from the ER, and I drove straight to Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite, where my daughter was diagnosed with kidney stones. This doctor was very arrogant, rude, and was not concerned for my childs well being. DO NOT take your children here, the doctors do not know what they are doing. If I could rate this half a star, I would.

This is the worst hospital Ive been too. They are understaffed with doctors that have no idea what theyre doing. I went here Sunday because I had surgery on Thursday and I was having some complications. It took 2 hours to get a room and when we got to the room I was in a room with someone else so theres no privacy. They made me do a urine sample and they never came to get it I had to take it to them after an hour of not seeing anyone. When the doctor came in he was a complete idiot he was wearing a polo and khakis, very unprofessional for a dr and its like he was out playing golf and he got called in cause the hospital was understaffed for all I know he coulda been a podiatrist.... The dr had no idea as to what was causing my symptoms, he didnt have much to say he said he was going to have someone give me IV fluids and to call my obgyn to see if this was normal or not... Im sorry but if youre gonna be an ER dr you should be prepared for anything, and have a general idea of whats normal and whats not normal for anything. So we waited an hour and nobody had not come see me to give me IV fluids or my lab results so we decided we were gonna leave and go to another hospital and the dr went and grabbed my chart it had been laying around the whole time! Thankfully my results were normal because if something had been going on idk what they woulda done cause they were pretty much clueless on female issues. This hosiptal isnt prepared for it being busy they are so short staffed, doesnt have enough rooms for patients Im not even kidding there were patients in the hallyways lined up waiting for rooms, there was one poor guy that had busted his head open and was bleeding and he didnt have a room and they werent helping him. I wouldnt go to this hosiptal, its pretty sad cause its Wellstar and theyre suppose to be good. They need to get it together here.

had to take my wife to the er when I got home from work due to some weird swelling and bruising on her finger nothing life threatening, when we arrived we were told that we couldnt sit in the waiting room till we had seen the triage nurse, then when they took her bp it was high enough to make the alarm go off on the machine which was never noted or anything even asked about, about 5 minutes later the shuffled us off to what they call fast track area where we spent the better part of an hour listening to a nurse complain about how much she hates people and how glad she was she never had kids. then the P.A. came in spent about 2 minutes looking at her finger gave her a shot in her shoulder a pain killer and an antibiotic then after she had given out the meds asked if my wife was on any other medications. we were sent home where my wife threw up due to over medication she had to go back at 3 am due to the pain woke her up in tears the dr called it a felon, finger infection of unknown origin, he lanced and juiced her finger he stated the reason it got so much worse so quick was because the swelling was so bad the antibiotic couldnt get to the infection she is home now and God willing will never grace that horrible hospital or any wellstar facility again the problem is the wellstar not any particular hospital they have almost killed my wife my best friend and multiple others they treat people like cattle they do not care at all

I worked in a nursing home in Smyrna GA, in what appeared to be a fancy upscale location. It was not. A lot of the patients had symptoms of CDiff but none were in isolation, they were in general population with everyone. I got really sick one day and stayed that way. I had diarrhea and nausea so long I lost 13lbs and lost my appetite. I went to WelLstar Douglasville Hospital and they only tested my blood and urine even though I told them I was exposed to CDiff which is tested only thru stool. No diagnosis, no treatment. A month later frail and sick again. Visited hospital again, the doctor in ER that seen me said since I couldnt give sample bring it back next day in biohazard bag. I did. The desk refused it I was told to put in "the cabinet". I did "the cabinet was wide open unlocked and other samples laying around. I called a week later and they said my records show the doc cancelled my order for the test before I was even discharged and he sent me home with the cup and bag to give a sample he knew wouldnt be tested but he made sure to say " give me a good review on my survey before I left. Wellstar is a joke and you will never really know what you are suffering from unless you watch them all the way to the lab. Dont trust these snakes, they probably laugh when you turn the corner. I pray for justice
