My regular dentist stopped using my insurance and I had to find a new dentist. Tried this place. This is not a private practice but a chain store. The idea is to sell additional products to increase above what the insurance pays. No problem as I understand selling and profits. First they do xrays so they can get paid from the insurance company. Then the come in with a list of add ons you pay out of pocket. Deep cleaning, teeth sealer, Fluoride rinse, cancer light screening, etc. Runs the bill up about $150 or more. So after being in this place for 20 minutes I knew I was changing insurance and going back to my old trusted dentist. I said if you dont mind just give me the regular cleaning my insurance covers. Now the kicker, the hygienist refuses to clean my teeth unless I accept the upgrades. Not the dentist but the hygienist has this authority. So I accept the deep cleaning. Its the same exact cleaning that my old dentist did at the cost of a co pay. Nothing extra. The other rinse and teeth sealer and cancer screening I have my doubts is worth very much but I am not a dentist. They found a cavity on a back tooth and said I would need 3 appointments to get it repaired because it was below the gum line. Never has bothered me. Total cost would start at about $2800 and believe me it would increase once they started.. No way on earth these people will ever work on my teeth again. They might be right but I will get a second opinion from someone with more experience and trust.

No one was at the front desk for over 10 min when we arrived and it took over an hr. of waiting after that for the appointment despite the place being pretty empty. Numerous times I had people trying to sell me an electric toothbrush system, but no one would ever give me a straight answer on a price. They claimed my husband and I both had the same problem and wanted to set us up for antibiotic injections in our gums and have us come back every three months for treatments. Along with that there was to be this crazy mouthwash and more antibiotics they wanted to sell me. All this for a whopping $600 (thats with the insurance coverage). To top it off, they wanted to sell me a $45 Oral Cancer test which wasnt covered by my health insurance. We never even got my teeth cleaning even after I specifically set up the appointment for this and a general exam. They blocked off extra time for my appointment to cover this, but had no time after all their sales pitches.I have NEVER been to a dentist where it was handled like this. Normally, you go in, get your teeth cleaned, then the dentist does a check up and tells you what (if anything) need to be taken care of. It was like going to a bad car mechanic. I felt so taken advantage of there. Luckily, our general exam was covered in full so we paid nothing out of pocket, but we lost over three hours of our lives in this stupid place.

I have to agree with Gina and rfurlongsr. This place sucks! First off i schedule my appointment for 7 am the dentist and her 2 staff members all arrive at 7:10am to open the office....before we stepped inside the receptionist was complaining that she was sick and vomitting but could not call in sick because there was no one to cover for her...GROSS! She had to handle my id and paperwork. THEN they have an ANCIENT x ray machine that took forever to get my xray done....then i wait. The dentist comes in and tells me they are going to be rating my gums I think and she pokes the sharp metal instrument next to each tooths gum and tell the assistant to write a number 1-5 (5 being the worst) after all this she says well your teeth look pretty good overall but due to the gum rating thing they did they needed to do some stuff to get my gums back to better health...my gums seem to be fine....they never bleed until she poked and poked. Now she says you have 3 fillings that need to be done or replaced and you can not have a normal cleaning you need a full mouth debridgement, irrigation full mouth, she did mention some antibotic gum injections like Gina mentioned. Bottomline is if you want a basic cleaning to your teeth DO NOT GO HERE!

Ive had a horrible experience at the Great Expressions in Sandy Springs, where the Doctor was late because he forgot he had an appointment!!! I have never experienced something like that in my life from any working professional. I was pretty much fed up and wanted nothing to do with the company but I was referred here by a gentleman at the other location, who was very helpful. Here they are very professional and inviting. Professionalism and good customer service makes a huge difference and is extremely important! They prevented me from walking away entirely. Special thanks to Elizabeth at the desk, who is always sweet and always has a smile on her face. Her attitude is contagious. The Manager Kamali for correcting the situation, the Dentist Dr. Kwon and her assistant. They were all on the same accord to make the situation right.

Me experience was exactly the same as Bridgette. I only went for a simple cleaning and got nothing but a bad report of my gums. I have never had bleeding gums until they poked my gums and scared me into thinking I had some sort of mouth cancer and I should pay to do a screening which was 69.00 out of my pocket to swish some nasty vinegar tasting liquid around in my mouth and they flashed a light in my mouth that showed no signs of cancer. They would not clean my teeth unless I had the work done that THEY said I needed. Now they moved and I am trying to get my X-Ray from them.

Stay away! Was told I needed a series of 3 deep cleanings, which Id be usually skeptical about but got one done. Later consulted with 2 other trustworthy dentists who said I did not need it. I went for my scheduled follow up and questioned the dentist at Great Expressions specifics that one of my other consulting dentists wondered about. She got defensive at that point and rudely asked, "why all the sudden questions". Its every patients right to understand and know details of their treatment, but not here. Save yourself the regret and money.

I hate going to the dentist. Always have. But I like coming here. The staff is kind, welcoming and helpful. I never feel pushed into doing something. I had to wait to have work done until after the new year because our flexible spending account was depleted. They were accommodating. I have had three crowns replaced lately and each time its been and easy going experience. The work they do is spot on. I never feel pain. I never even notice the new crown when I bite down. I have never had an issue here and I enjoy seeing everyone when I go.
