Absolutely the worst! Run away from here. I took my daughter here back in Nov or Dec 2014. There is a little room for children to watch TV while we waited. My child and little sister were in there. I was watching them from a chair directly in front and to the side of the room when a rude, old woman came from inside the back rooms and proceeded to yell at the children to sit down and not play in there! We had been waiting for over an hour and she expected toddlers to sit like a statue.How dare she yell in front of everybody there? Which she did. She was very unprofessional and rude. I got up and left. I never looked back and never will go back there again. That woman has no patience with children. I believe she is the wife of the doctor, if not she needs to be fired. If she is then she needs to take a class on how to treat customers and if she doesnt like it then I believe this isnt a job for her or not be there at all just making her husband lose customers that had been loyal to his practice for years. I wish I could award no stars. She is a skinny blonde old woman. Beware

I had a horrible experience at this center also. I completed all of my paperwork that I received in the mail, arrived 15 min early to my appointment and waited for almost 2 hours to be called back to wait in another room to see the doctor. This place needs more doctors and a friendly, courteous staff. It was my first and very last time that I will visit. I will not recommend anyone to this facility. To make matters worse, the doctor seemed annoyed that my eyes were so sensitive to the bright light he was shining. Sorry, I guess dialation does that to some eyes! Oh yeah, the eye glass selection was not great either, Ive seen better selection at WalMart.

MY SON HAS BEEN SEEN DR. AKSTEIN SINCE 2005. MY HUSBAND IS A PATIENT AT AKSTEIN EYE CENTER TOO. DR. AKSTEIN HAS A VERY GOOD BEDSIDE MANNER AND EXCELLENT SKILLS. DR. AKSTEIN IS ALSO VERY PATIENT , COMPASSIONATE AND UNDERSTANDING. I DO VALUE HIS PROFESSIONAL OPINION. AKSTEIN EYE CENTER HAVE FRIENDLY , HELPFUL AND POLITE STUFF AND ALWAYS ANSWER THE PHONE CALLS, WHEN I HAVE PHONED UP. THE WAITING AREA IS VERY CLEAN AND OPEN. THE EXAM ROOMS ARE CLEAN TOO. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AKSTIEN EYE CENTER.

WHEN I ARRIVED, THE PLACE WAS FULL OF PEOPLE. NOT THINKING ANYTHING ABOUT IT, I WAS THERE ON TIME AS A NEW PATIENT AND SUBMITTED ALL THE PAPER WORK THEY SENT ME IN THE MAIL. I ASSUMED THEY HAD ME FILL OUT THIS PAPERWORK TO SAVE TIME. AFTER AN HOUR OF WAITING THE RECEPTIONIST ONLY STATED THAT THEY ARE ALOT OF PEOPLE AHEAD OF YOU. I TOLD HER IF IM NOT SEEN WITHIN 15 MINUTES IM LEAVING. 20 MINUTES GO BY AND I ASK TO SPEAK TO A OFFICE MANAGER, AFTER WAITING FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES I LEFT.

They have you sit in a waiting room for over an hour. Finally when you get to the back the technician talks to you for about 5 minutes if that and takes you to sit in yet another waiting room for another hour or 2. This place is not child friendly and the people at the front desk act as if youre getting on their nerves when you ask how much longer will the wait be. I have a toddler you cant expect him to sit still for the amount of time they have you waiting.

My expeeience was top notch. I came in for my 1st appt and became a lil ill. I am a diabetic and my levels dropped. I explained to the receptionist and she immediately got a nurse. The nurse got me crackers andum juice then she checked my levels to make sure i was better. My overall experience at Akstein eye center was wonderful the best service and very professional. I will be sending my family and friends to become patients at this wonderful business

Very courteous front office and reception staff. A bit of a lengthy wait, but understandable; my time with the techs and doctor was not rushed and I was given focused attention as apparently all patients are. I received a thorough eye exam with a satisfactory treatment plan which included improvement of a dry eye condition as the goal. A very favorable experience.

I have been going to Dr. Akstein for about 7+ years now, and I have no complaint about him, whatsoever. He is an excellent doctor. He takes time to explain each and everything that needs to be done for the well being of the patients. My entire family goes to this doctor. The front office staff is courteous as well.

I am a new patient at Akstein Eye Center yet they treated me like I had been a patient for years! The front desk staff at check in was very polite and helpful. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was seen right away, and the technician I spoke with took the time to answer all my questions and concerns.

Sending us to collection agency without billing for three months with the charge of $200+. Come to the office and was told the Office Manager was fired. They said whatever I was billed must be paid. File complaints to Georgia State Medical Board.

Front office was very slow because they didnt know how to handle a Workers Compensation case. Once I finally got in the back the staff was very friendly. Dr. Ricardo Akstein was great! I would definitely recommend the Akstein Eye Center.
