Walked in with no appointment but a severely infected tooth. Thankfully someone had cancelled their appointment that day and I was able to be seen. The dental assistant, the doctor everyone went above and beyond to help me and make me feel comfortable. Since I am pregnant they took extra precautions and I walked out of there paying $41 instead of $210. They go by a sliding scale plan and since I dont have insurance I paid the discounted amount. The same goes for the medications, those are discounted as well. Paid $21 for the antibiotics instead of $93. Two weeks after my initial visit I had to go in for my extractions. The doctor had explained to me that all my teeth had to be removed due to decay and infections. They were causing a severe health risk to me and the baby. My doctor decided to extract bottom and upper teeth on separate dates. Due to my pregnancy I had to be able to continue eating. So yesterday I had all my bottom teeth extracted 17 in total. No general anesthesia, no laughing gas, no oral sedation just good old shots in the gums. The entire procedure took about 1 hour and 40 minutes. The entire time Doctor Jensen explained each and every step to me and the second I made a noise she stopped right away and asked if I needed any more medication. Due to my pregnancy I wasnt able to take anything else other than the regular shots. Otherwise they would have given me anything I asked for. I couldnt have imagined having 17 teeth pulled out at once, while you are pregnant and with no heavy sedation but it is possible with the right team. I have been afraid of the dentist for several years, deadly afraid. However Dr Jensen took all that fear away. After the procedure I got my bill which you have to pay otherwise you cant be scheduled for another appointment. The regular cost of the extractions, medicine etc would have cost over $3500 my discounted price was $660. That is nothing compared to what a dentist outside of Terry Reilly will charge. Some people have mentioned that your have to be the right minority in order to receive adequate treatment. I cant confirm that statement. From what I can tell, everybody is being the treated with the same care, respect and attention. No tooth extraction is something to be enjoyed but it doesnt have to be a nightmare experience either. If I can do it, being pregnant and with just regular novocaine shots and full bottom teeth extractions so can you! Please if you have dental issues give them a try, you wont regret your visit!

I am not one to write reviews for any place of service, but I feel like people should be warned. I have a friend who recommended Canyon Dental to me. She has had a positive experience with her female dentist but the male dentist that works there was nothing shy of a 1 star review. He came in and his assistant told him I had a filling fall out to which he replied (Sarcastically), he interrupted me while I spoke about my pain and then proceeded to tell me he could do my root canal but that he normally refers his patients to a specialist because it takes him awhile to do them. He said it like doing one would be inconvenient. I asked if he could do anything for me at my appointment and he said well you look like youre not in much pain taking Advil, so Im not going to prescribe anything else besides antibiotics. I hide my pain well, he had a hard time putting himself in my shoes and Im disappointed that he works for this establishment that tries to do good for the community. Go to canyon dental if you like but I dont think it would be wise to waste your time and be ridiculed for your poor choices in taking care of your teeth.

If I could choose lower than a star i would ,i went to terry riley in alot of pain needing a root canal so I scheduled an appt For 2 weeks later because thats all that was available during the waiting period Dr Gray would not prescribe pain medicine he just said alternate tylenol and advil well i tried that pain was to strong it didnt even dull the pain so i called the office back he said either go to emergency room ir we can pull it,well I wanted to keeo the tooth so i went to the E.R 3 times bofore i had my appt ao I went to my appt and paid and he did part of the root canal and put a temporary filling in it and scheduled me to finish it in a month well a couoke days ago the temo came out causing more pain so i go back and he just covers it with another filling. because he didnt have time to finish it ,niw im in even mire pain si he referes me to a specialist ,after i paid him...i woyldnt send my wirst enemy to him ...hes heartless and the girls who answer the phone are rude.

I asked them to give me the laughing gas. They said only the nampa service has the gas, but I begged them to give me some and boy they got me so loaded. I was blasted, I couldnt remember my name for hours. Hell I may chip another tooth just to go back and get some more of that delicious laughing gas they provide, make sure you beg em for it or they will lie and say they dont have any. I saw right through their horse manure lies like a marine sniper waiting to blow a 50.cal round straight through a Muslims skull. Hoorah. Would recommend again.

Espantosa el servicio es denigrante no son profecionales no cuentan con gente que hable español y si tienen gente hispana no quieren hablar español es triste porque para eso las contratan porque son bilingual pero no quieren hablar español.

Was NOT a patient here. HOWEVER, a very good friend was visiting for the holidays and suddenly had terrible pain. We called Canyon Dental and within less than 24 hour notice, we had an emergency appointment. We werent sure what to expect, but within minutes of arriving and filling out paperwork, my friend was seen. The appointment only took 1 hour and my friend said he felt the service was fast, efficient, and very professional. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING SUCH GREAT CARE OF MY FRIEND! =]

This place was simply wonderful! My uninsured son had an abscessed tooth and an infection that had spread to his face, swelling out like a golf ball. Not only was he able to get in same day, same afternoon, the dr took great measures to make him as comfortable as possible, considering the situation. The dr was quick, professional, and considerate. People can say what they will, but we are grateful to this clinic to the nth degree!!!

This office is terrible. If you dont have insurance and you need a root canal, do not bother. You have to pay up front, which you can do anywhere and you will get better service at a different office. The dentist that I saw was very rude and he seemed that I was bothering him by being there. He was extremely sarcastic and condescending. Very sad that the people who are supposed to help are so rude.
