Long term care is no care at all here. When you make the choice to move a loved one to a skilled care home, its hard enough. My mom has been in here 4 months. We live a few hours away so its hard to keep a close eye. She cant feed herself or drink by herself. Ive sat here 6 hours before here, and not one person came to give her water or adjust her pillows or position so her bed sores dont get worse. No attention at all, Yet I was given full warning not to adjust or help her due to hospital liability. Its 330 pm and the noon lunch tray hasnt been picked up. She pushed her help button and it was 35 minutes till I went to get someone saying she needed her medicine and adjustment. The nurse insisted she got her meds at 2pm, so I told her Ive been here since noon... And no. Its abusive care. If I could only get her husband to agree to move her. It may be diff for rehab, but stay as far away from this place as you can for skilled nursing long term needs. there is no heart here.

My mother spent a couple weeks here after having a knee replacement, and it seemed like the whole staff was just living in a bad mood. No one cared to communicate with each other about the patients needs or concerns. And, as we both witnessed, if a patient cannot communicate, the staff will indeed take advantage of them and possibly steal from them or plainly wont care for their needs. So displeased. If I could give a lower star, I would.

Talked to the staff on several occaisions. Everyone was very helpful and caring. They did everything they could to help with the situation, and were patient with my requests.
