4 horrible experiences within 6 months. My Great Dane died "mysteriously" minutes after a routine spaying. The call I got from Dr Schupp was " this is Dr Schupp at hospital, Bella didnt survive surgery, do you want me to dispose of her or did you have plans for her". I wasnt even given an opportunity to process that Bella was gone, and all he was worried about was getting her out of his facility. A few weeks ago I inquired with Jodi about having a goats horns removed. I thought I had made myself clear that I would NEVER deal with or allow Schupp to touch anymore of my animals, yet when I arrived to drop the goat off, Mr Non-Caring personality came out in fowl temper. I was told the procedure would take less than half an hour. I explained that I had scheduled with Dr Jodi, but was quickly shut down with him informing me that she isnt certified to do surgery. I scheduled my two dogs to have their annual shots at same time. Dogs were finished in 10 minutes. Throughout day I called to check in on the goats progress, but Judy didnt know, but would call me back. After 6 hours I drove back to find my goat outside in my transport cage with no water and having difficulty breathing. When I went in, Dr Personality told me that the horns were attached to sinuses and would cause the heavy breathing. The only thing provided to me was a pricey bill and verbal instruction not to remove wrap for 1 week. The following my morning I found the goat gasping for air and non responsive. I called immediately. Dr Personality seemed put out to have to talk to me but told me to give him a half an hour to get sone pain medication put together. I asked if the wrap around his head and neck could be too tight, but was quickly scolded to not touch the wrap. Fast forward 3 hours and still no medication, Dr Personality is gone for day and cant be bothered, and Judy doesnt even remember the conversation. I was forced to find a farm Vet that could come to house. Immediately the wrap was removed and I was informed that the wrap was way too tight. Once wrap was removed the goat regained normal breathing, got up and started drinking, but the real problem was that the main artery in each horn had not been cauterized and was bleeding heavily. Luckily I can report that the goat survived under the care of a real vet, but 2 weeks later the two dogs that got their shots at same time, developed huge abscesses at the injection sites. After 5 calls, I could not get a call back from anyone at Chester Animal Hospital. since Dept. Of Professional Regulation got involved this morning, I cant share exactly what was found with the dogs, but I can assure you that you dont want to ever deal with it. I now have one dog home on heavy meds, while the other one had to be admitted to hospital. Calls placed to Chester Animal Hospital to get medical records sent were not pleasant. They have obviously gone from Forgetful Judy, to bit**y Debbie at the front desk. If I could give negative stars for this review, it would be negative 10.

Worst experience ever. I have just been one day out of hospital after major spinal surgery and could not walk far. The website states they Make house calls in special situations. My dog needed emergency care and they refused to come 1/4 mile knowing in unable to walk or drive and my dog has fever, vomiting and passing blood. Head Vet Dr Schupp had trouble getting my dog to swallow a tablet. He gave up and told us" you guys can do it because Im in no mood to deal with it. Also, in the past, they let us make payments and we needed to do that yesterday.Dr Schupp decided he wasnt doing it. Normally a different receptionist takes care of that part for us. Schupp stated " if I knew this, I would have told you to go elseware" So having have them or custom for all three of our dogs since 2010 its upsetting to 7 years of loyalty means nothing. Remember! The statement " we do house calls is a lie". Im on 10lb weight pick up from my spinal tumor surgery and he expected me to walk the dog to the clinic. I cab just about dress myself at the moment they takes 30 minutes let alone walk to the surgery. So, no they dont do house calls, he is not compassionate in anyway. Beware.

We took our doberman puppy to have her ears clipped here recently. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were so loving to our puppy and Dr. Schupp is the best vet Ive ever met! They kept us updated every step of the way. Our puppy ended up having to stay overnight and we still received updates on her. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I do not mind driving to Chester just to see him. Overall and absolute great experience.
