I was dealing with back pain for most of my 20s. As I got into my 30s, I started to resign myself to the fact that I just had a bad back, and that was going to be something Id have to deal with for the rest of my life. My chiropractor recommended Core PT to make sure I was exploring all options for possible treatment. I met with Jason on my first visit. After some Q&A and about 5 minutes of physical evaluation, Jason said, "You dont have a bad back. I understand what this is, and were going to fix it." He then took the time to explain the mechanical problem that was driving my back pain, and we started working on it that day. I saw Jason a 1-2 times per week for a couple months, and made great progress. After taking a break for a few months, I aggravated my back playing golf and went back to Core PT. This time I ended up with Jeff, and over the course of a few weeks, had the same great experience. Im writing this review now, about a year removed from my last treatment with Jeff. Ive continued to work hard on my own, and am now doing much, much better. I can say with absolute confidence, that I wouldve never figured out how to deal with my back problems myself, without everything I learned from Jason and Jeff about the source of my problems, how to address, etc. I think this speaks volumes about Jason and Jeffs approach to treatment. They worked with me to figure out the problem, helped me understand how to fix it, pushed me really hard during treatment to get me back on the right track, and left me with the tools to continue making progress on my own. They were all about getting me better; not making me into a perpetual patient so Id just keep coming back for treatment. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I had a massive rotator cuff tear in my shoulder which required fairly major surgery. When it came time for PT, Core Therapy was recommended to me by one of my colleagues who received services from Core on his knee. Having done PT before, I was not expecting much but I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised on so many levels. First and foremost, my primary therapist, Jason Kart, has an impressive educational and clinical background that I soon found out makes a big difference. He not only coaxed my very damaged shoulder back to a functional, pain-free shoulder again, he educated me along the way so I could continue on with my home exercise program when my insurance no longer supported formal PT sessions. He was patient, caring and innovative in his approach. The supporting therapists working for Core Therapy were also extremely equipped to show me the exercises for the session as well as exercises for my home program. In addition to clinical services I received, I found their business model to be extremely user friendly, convenient and useful. Most of us are busy folks so its so helpful to have the option of setting up appointments on line, getting your exercises on line (with video) and having the ability to email my therapy with questions. Finally, the scheduling and administrative support staff person there is top notch. She is very capable in her approach to insurance approvals, communicates promptly when needed and is truly pleasant to interact with. I give Core Therapy the best rating possible and would recommend using them to anyone serious about getting back to their life without pain and discomfort.

Hands down one of the best Physical therapy experiences I have had. This is my THIRD shoulder surgery, so I have been to my fair share of PT places too. Jason and the staff at Core Physical therapy take the time to work with each patient and understand the needs and goals of the patients. He even took the time to call my surgeon, review the surgical notes with him, and discuss my unique situation. He spends at least 30 minutes with me with complete un-divided attention, and then I even get 30 minutes of un-divided attention with their exercise specialist. I never feel like Im in a "factory" where they are trying to get me in and out on a cookie-cutter approach. That would not work for my situation regardless. I was nervous to pick a PT place in Chicago, because I am not originally from here. After reading Yelp reviews I stumbled upon Core Physical Therapy. So happy I did. Even the front desk staff is so helpful if you have booking questions, insurance questions etc. I wrote this post for the next person who is struggling to find a good PT place in Chicago. Take my word and trust me when I say you are in good hands.

I have been a patient at a large physical therapy clinic in Chicago, and even though I liked my therapist very much, nothing compares to the care and personal attention given to me at Core Physical Therapy in the Loop. My therapist, Jeff Bitter, spends far more time with me than I have been used to and has brought me from hardly walking and with practically no range of motion, to almost jogging and a 45% increase in range of motion in just eight weeks. Everyone at the clinic is super, including the exercise therapists and the fabulous practice manager, Linda. Every single person cares about the patients. The atmosphere is welcoming and not rushed: a nice place to be! I would highly recommend Core PT, Jeff, and Jason, the owner.

I had never been to physical therapy until this summer when I suffered a shoulder injury. Nick was my physical therapist and he was an absolute gem. I felt like we were a team. I felt very listened to. I had been in so much pain and I was feeling very frustrated and kind of helpless since pain meds and muscle relaxers hadnt been very helpful. After my initial visit, I began to feel so much better so quickly. Nick is a genuinely kind and skilled therapist. He also made sure I understood what was happening in my shoulder and how I could prevent it in the future. Very approachable and very professional. And best of all, I feel better than I did even before the injury.

Jason did such a great job keeping me calm about my injury and clearly explaining the steps that we were taking on a weekly basis to rehabilitate me. His assistants, Jeff and Xavier, were also great to work with every session and provided great exercises to strengthen my knee. Additionally, the space is great, as is the scheduling and availability. They were always very accommodating in letting me come in during the evening to be the least disruptive to my work schedule. I went in expecting to need surgery, but having gone through about 10 weeks with Jason and his staff I dont think Ill need it. Thanks so much guys!

I saw Jason a couple years ago for lower back and sciatic nerve pain on my left side, and he completely cured me. I havent experienced any pain since. 2 years later and I started having problems on my right side with my lower back and intense nerve pain. I could barely walk or stand for long periods of time. Again, Im leaving Core PT pain-free. He obviously cares about helping people, problem solving and loves what he does. His staff are all friendly and attentive, and I always felt like I was in capable hands. They recently moved and the new location is great!!
