2016 Update: I have been seeing Dr. Weitzner for 5 years since we moved to Chicago. Now we have moved out to the suburb one hour away, sometimes 2 hours drive in traffic, I am still going back to him as long as he is in practice. There is not another doctor I trust more than him because he truly cares about his patients. The girls handling the office are most friendly. 2011:My husband and I had some unpleasant experience in life and Dr. Weitzner helped us through. He is most accessible and responsible. He truly holds and believes the medical ethnics. He told us we can contact him directly by email or phone when we are abroad in case of any issues. I feel I can trust myself to him. His staff ,Ms. Remy, is very kind and caring. I feel more comfortable with her presence when going for my visit than with my husbands. The only thing I can think of that they can improve is appointment scheduling. It would be nice if they would start making appointment confirmation/reminder phone calls.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Weitzner soon after he started his practice about 20 years ago. Weve been through a lot. Ive had twins, a still birth, a caesarean and postpartum depression just for starters. Hes always been not only a great doctor but superb with his bed side manner. In the past there were some issues with his office staff. He had office managers who were rude and other staff members who were total space cadets. The biggest problem were several girls setting up appointments. Some days I came in there was standing room only. Another time I was actually the only one there. lol But Dr. Weitzner is one of the best at learning from mistakes and getting back to the present, I love his whole staff. Hes still the fantastic doctor he always was, so no surprise hes getting all 5 star reviews. Id flag any review now that would be less. lol.

With me its a process of elimination. Perhaps Im a pessimist, because I always expect something to go wrong at the worst possible time. I guess this is what they mean by Murphys Law. However, Surprise, Surprise...Ive been a patient of Dr. Weitzner for several years and nothing has gone wrong. He brought my third and fourth young ones into the world and everything went great, especially compared to my first two with a different doctor. His bedside manner is fantastic and so are his follow up routines. Theres always some waiting time at his office, but its never been more than an hour. His office staff is very friendly and professional and most importantly theres NEVER been a screw up. (Knock on wood) Dr. Weitzner is in a class of his own.

What can I say, Dr. Weitzner is really a life saver. When he first became my doctor about 10 years ago he asked my how long it was since I had a Pap Test. I just laughed and said it was too long to remember. Up until that point he had been very friendly and we were joking around back and forth. However a very stern look suddenly came on his face and he said I needed a test without delay. He was right. The test showed pre-cancerous abnormalities. I had taken the test just in time. He has been my doctor ever since and I think hes the best. And, I still enjoy joking around with him. Hes very friendly as always.

As others have stated. Dr. Weitzner is everything youd want in a doctor. However, in my case he really went out of his way for me. I lost my job last year and got behind on all my bills, including here. I was long overdue for a Pap Test, but wanted to wait until caught up on my account before even asking. Much to my surprise a consultant of his called me as said I could still get the Pap Test anyway, without worrying about my back bill. WOW! Was this because I was a long time patient? Or was it because Dr. Weitzner is just an outstanding person? Ill say both. And, Ill be forever grateful.

I dont want to go into my personal situation here. I would be embarrassed. However, I will say this: Dr. John Weitzner is nicer, more caring and more generous than ANY other person I have ever known in my entire life, doctor or otherwise. He is located at Rush Hospital which may be a little inconvenient for some people. But hes worth the drive, which is really not a bad one. Rush Hospital is right off the Eisenhower about a couple of miles west of the loop.

Dr John Witzner is excellent doctor and also very friendly. This is our first pregnancy so its very important doctor to be patient and careful not to scare you more. Dr John is as good doctor as good person. He even gave us cell phone number to call or text any time if we have any question. His office staff are also very friendly and every time we go for our regular check up we are having pleased experience without any stress.

I am not personal friends with Dr. Weitzner. Just his patient. However whenever I make an appointment and see him, I almost feel like hes been a friend for life. I will never meet a warmer and more caring person. Oh....and did I mention? Hes an outstanding doctor too. As long as I live and as long as hes in practice, he will be my Obgyn.

I had to laugh when I read a review of another top rated Obgyn Chicago office. It said "These doctors were a bit condenscending but what doctor isnt?" I have one: His name is Dr. John S. Weitzner! To parody an old rent a car commercial, "Theres Dr. John S. Weitzner and theres a little bit condenscending."
