My first experience here was better than the 2nd. I was the patient the first time - Dr. Gula was so personable and sweet! I have a fairly unusual Rx and she took the time to really make sure I was comfortable with my final reading. I give her 5 stars! While the Optician was professional enough, I was somewhat put off by his obvious discomfort with going "off-script" when I was asking about different lens options. I was also unimpressed with the frame selection - there were several different designers, but hardly any variance between styles/colors, and all had a really high price point. That part rates 3 stars. I brought my teenage son back for an exam and his Rx showed a slight distance correction. This is the first time he has complained about not being able to see the board at school - in previous exams his vision was fine. My son had a different doctor (not Dr. Gula) who came out and said that he would definitely need glasses, and he would need to wear them "ALL THE TIME". When I asked to see the Rx and questioned why he would need glasses for anything other then distance, she became very defensive and made up several reasons that still didnt make sense. I then told her that I was a former Optician of 10 years and understood the Rx and what it meant, and given the slight correction for distance, I was surprised she would say he needed to wear them all the time. She then rudely told me that he could just wear them whenever he wanted, ended the conversation, and walked away. In comparison, my daughter has an almost identical Rx, and in the big box store we went to last year, the Optometrist there said (before she knew my background) that it was a slight correction and it was up to me whether I wanted to buy glasses. I have to give this part of the experience 1 star. I felt that the conversation with this Dr. for my son was more of a sales push than anything else. We will look elsewhere for his glasses and future eyecare for our family.

My main issue with Family Vision Care concerns first time contact users. They require a class to be taken that needs to be passed within three sessions. They basically go over how to insert and remove contacts. I have no problem with the idea of the class. I have a problem with the class requiring a fee of $25. I dont think helping first timers put on contacts should incur a fee and I rarely see that at other vision centers.

Great customer service!! I had an issue with my new glasses (manufacturer defect) and they were very quick to order a replacement frame. Unfortunately when the frames came in there was an issue getting my lens into the frame and they needed to be sent out once again. They were very generous in compensating me for my inconvenience and I havent had any issues with these glasses since. I highly recommend Family Vision Care.

The worst customer service ever! Told me a week for my contacts to arrive and after 2 weeks I called them . Not sure if they ever ordered them. Then they count you on hold for 2 minutes and disconnect you. Then they tell you they dont have your contacts. Then they say theyll call you back and they never do. DO NOT go hers

Eye Doc Gula is amazing !!! The staff that helps you pick out glasses, along with the final fitting staff are not very nice people !!! And the prices are a bit rough to take.

Mistakes were made; however they rectified the problem, provided the desired glasses, and provided a significant discount because of the mix-up.
