Heres the short version... This place should actually be called Smile Less Dental. The staff didnt seem knowledgeable/experienced, I paid more than quoted/expected, and the dentist himself cleaned my teeth, ruining a filling that had previously been on a chipped tooth. I have to go back to the original dentist who filled the tooth and have them redo the filling because the tooth is extra sensitive and hurts after his work. I dont trust these guys to ever touch my teeth again. Heres the long story... I went in as a first time patient for a cleaning. I found a deal for exam + x rays $49. I thought the exam included cleaning but it didnt. The receptionist didnt clarify, she just took my $49 payment. I went to this dentist because I wanted to save money, since I was a cash patient without insurance. The x rays were taken, then the x ray tech told me I had problems with my gums no one has ever mentioned, nor did the dentist on duty mention. A frustration I had was that I couldnt really even hear him. There was tv show playing in my room that was so turned up that I couldnt hear what he was saying. A hygienist came into clean, but thought it best not to clean that day because of a cold sore on my lip. She was worried that it would spread as her gloves passed through my lips to the inside of my mouth. I should come back another day. I was frustrated that I would have to come back but trusted her judgement. The dentist came in and said my teeth were great. A continuing care specialist came in and gave me a $97 bill so that they could clean the teeth. What I had paid earlier was just for the exam and x-rays. I was confused because I thought cleaning was already included and plus the hygienist said it couldnt be done that day. The x ray tech came back in and said he was going to clean my teeth. I asked "what about the cold sore on my lip? Will the cold sore spread? thats what the hygienist said." He said "Dont worry. Thats why we have protective eye gear." I didnt understand the logic and I was a little confused as to why the x-ray tech was now the one that was going to be cleaning, as opposed to the first person. It was evident I was quite hesitant, so the dentist volunteered to clean my teeth. He didnt clean them in the typical manner, with the intricate sharp metal objects like every other teeth cleaning, but more like he was power washing them. I had a filling on a chipped tooth before I came. The power washer method took the filling off, causing my teeth to be extra sensitive when I left and the whole week afterward. I want to go back so they fix it, but Im afraid theyll make it even worse. I have to go back to the dentist that put on the filling to refill it. So much for trying to save any money!

There are so many dentists these days but few that really set themselves apart. Im a physician and so I have some insight into what sets dentists apart. And like most peoples experiences, its hard to find someone who you can trust and who provides service that is above and beyond. However, after trying out several dentists for me and my children, I felt compelled to write this review because of Smile More Dentals truly superior experience which exceeds all others that Ive tried. Smile More Dental excels in the following areas: 1. Service - Dr. Diab has the skill and speed of a 1st rate professional dentist. He explains what hes doing and why hes doing it so that youre not left in the dark about your care. 2. Attitude - Dr. Diab and his staff are always smiling and a pleasure to be around. You never feel uncomfortable or un-welcomed. The waiting area is kid friendly with a play section and flat panel TV which plays kids movies. 3. Facilities - I was wowed by the state of the art facility from the cutting edge dental technology to the flat panel TVs on the walls in each exam room. You know youre getting the best treatment because of the obvious investment in the office equipment and technology. 4. Convenience - The office is open 7 days a week! 5. Honesty - One of the most appealing aspects to me. Everything is transparent and you will never be overcharged. In fact, they bend over backwards to accommodate you so that you never have to worry. I will continue to come here and bring my family including my four children as I dont think I will be able to find anyone who is better. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new dentist. Its even worth just trying this one out to see what youre missing out on.

I walked into Smile More Dental on a Sunday as an emergency patient because I was experiencing pain on the far back left side of my mouth. I had been in pain since the Wednesday prior but decided to wait it off because I thought it would possibly go away after a few days. Once Sunday came around I could no longer tolerate the pain and decided to start searching for dentists in my area, I came across SMD and they were conveniently open on Sundays. I called in and was booked for the first appointment available, the staff was friendly and fast. I was taken back to the room they took an xray and then Dr. Sam came in to explain to me that I had been biting on my cheek which caused it to get irritated swollen which then caused a sore to form. He informed me that I needed that tooth out. Terrified because I had never needed any dental work aside from my regular check up and cleaning the thought of having sharp instruments in my mouth made me cringe. Dr. Sam must have seen the fear in my eyes because he was very calming. He numbed me up and talked to me throughout the whole procedure. Let me know I would hear some noise and feel some pressure, literally less than 10 minutes later he scoots his chair back and sits me up as he says "alright youre all done". Very confused I asked "are you sure?" I was in and out of the office in less than an hour and a half (take into consideration I was a new patient had to fill out forms take xrays and get numbed up) I would def recommend Dr. Sam and his staff for your future dental needs!

Ok so generally I give a lot of slack to front door staff (having been one for a long time) but this place employs those who take ALL the awards for incompetent. The number of times I called daily (FOR 8 days!) just to set up an appointment is ridiculous but I was assured time and again someone will call me back. Finally set up an appointment out of frustration with not my dentist in the group. Get a call the very next day to confirm and am told there would be a $50 charge for the appointment which is for a quote for more work. Seems reasonable I suppose but in the past 8 days not one person mentioned this. Why Ive been given quotes over the phone by other dentists and here they charge $50 in consultation. If I were going to see the finest dentist sure but seriously why put up with front door staff like that just to see dentists that can be replaced anyway. UPDATE: call received 2 hours after initial offer to offer me the same. 7 minutes of trying to explain why bother to call me with the same. The office manager didnt understand. Seriously, Im in pain seeking help. Have a little compassion, dont call me when I tell you not to again. Like a bad break up, all of this.
