Please read this before you go to Mokena Animal Emergency. My mom and I took her dog for treatment of a broken hind leg. She was given an X- ray and told that they "stabilized" the leg with a "McGiver" splint because they didnt have any other. Well, Our dog walked out of the back room for us to take home at which time the dog tried to sit down... LIKE ALL DOGS DO.. and the splint which was a long hard substance with bandage over it.... The splint actually moved PARRELL to the ground while it was still attached to our poor dogs leg. It screamed so loud and all of the waiting room was in HORROR. Turns out after calling a vet friend.... and finding medical information on the web... YOU SHOULD NEVER SPLINT A FEMORAL FRACTURE.... it could do more damage. Please beware that place should be shut DOWN.

I have to say that this animal hospital saved both of my dogs in the last year. My puppy came down with a rare form of meningitis and they identified the problem quickly and treated him with antibiotics just in time to save him. My other dog suffered extreme heat stroke after only being outside for 5 minutes. She is an old dog, but a great dog. Her temperature climbed to 107.5 and they worked really hard to get it down quickly and helped offset any brain damage, kidney and liver failure with the treatments that they did. I owe them so much for working so hard to save my babies. The cost is high because it is an emergency room but it was all worth it. Thank you so much.

Yes its expensive but they saved my puppy. He was very lethargic and they couldnt even get his glucose to register. They did everything they needed to and suggested a couple of vets to bring him to in the morning. I feel very lucky that I went there when I did. Before this experience, I had to take my 18 year old cat there on a Sunday afternoon to be put to sleep as it was her time. They knew how hard this was and made it much easier. They brought her to us a fleece blanket and gave us all the time we wanted with her. The card they sent with her paw print a week or so later made us all smile.

Its not where you take your pets its the Dr that cares for them. Dr. Wojo (maiden name) has shown kindness, compassion, friendship, and empathy to them and myself over the years. If you ask her for an honest answer on how she would handle a situation she will give you one. If you are looking for everything possible to save your pets life, if there is a possibility, she will give it to you. There is no one else I would trust with the care of my animals. This is a woman that truly loves what she does as much as we love our pets. With that in mind there is no one more qualified than Dr. Wojo.

My dog got hit by a car and I rushed her here. Unfortunately, she didnt make it in time and passed away. I was beside myself and totally hysterical and the staff was really nice to me. The only thing that sucked was that they charged me $60 alone for the "DOA visit" .. this cost more than some other vets charge for regular visits and they didnt even have to do anything other than put a stethoscope to her chest. God forbid I have any other emergency with one of my other pets, Ill bring them here.

I have taken a couple of my dogs here, usually at night or on a Sunday. I have always dealt with the same vet, and she is awesome. She is very knowledgeable, able to diagnose quickly and accurately, and is very affectionate to the animals. Yes, expensive, but like others have stated, its an emergency room, after hours and I am just thankful that this place is less than 10 minutes from my house.

The doctors are all nice But the staff is terrible and extremely rude. I called with a question a few hours ago and I was upset and the woman on the phone was the rudest person Ive ever talk to. And at the same because the staff is who you deal with first before you seeing Dr. Im looking into other emergency vet so I dont have to deal with the staff again

I want to thank the staff for taking great care of my furbaby. My dog was attacked by a bigger dog and i thought he was going to die. The staff took great care of him and made him as comfortable as possiable. They let me call and visit anytime during business hours and were very friendly and answered any question i had. Thank you again staff!!!!!!

Avoid this clinic at all costs!!! Make the extra drive to Premier in Crestwood. If you go here for surgery your animal WILL come home covered in blood and no e-collar. I would love to go into more detail but i will save that for my complaint with the state! Do yourself and your pet a favorite and run away from this place!!!

My poor dog, Boogie, came in from the backyard full of burrs, licking the floor maniacally and swallowing continuously. I had no idea what was happening! I called this office and spoke with Emily. She was SO kind, understanding and knowledgeable. She provided so much clarity. I would recommend this place to any pet owner!

If its a pet emergency you might as well let your pet suffer thru the night DO NOT TAKE I repeat DO NOT TAKE your pet here if you dont have at least $300 just to see a Vet my pup broke his entire foot i didnt have all of the money so they shipped my pup to a shelter they didnt want to work wit me AT ALL

Had to take my cat on a Sunday evening for an infection. They were wonderful, compassionate and truly cared about getting my cat better. Erick and the vet worked to get my cats medical needs taken care of and out of pain. If you have to take your animal for an emergency, they truly deserve 5 Stars!

I brought my cat here for an emergency and they were excellent. The staff & Dr were so sweet and helpful. Also treated my cat very conservatively and didnt pad my bill which is so appreciated. My cat is doing much better and Im so thankful they were there. Id recommend this place to family.

This place is awesome. I had to rush one of my greyhounds in yesterday for stitches in his front paw. The girl at the desk was amazing. Dr Gary put me at ease and took great care of my Big Bird. Couldnt ask for better. Very compassionate caring people. Thank you!!
