Dr. Fleming

Dr. Fleming here. Its pointless to get into an arguement on the internet. I dont read our Google Reviews but someone pointed out Jane Ws review where she said I choked her dog. This is not true. Her dog was trying to bite my tech and the lady herself said he might bite. I came into the room to try to help and was restraining him,and, I certainly know after 34 years of practice that a client can see something and interpret it as something that is not really happening. Here dog was very difficult. I think she got upset and stopped us before we could even muzzle him. She left angry most likely.I distinctly remember the incident, late in the afternoon in exam room three. A young lady vet tech in the Miami area had her arm amputed as a result of a terrible dog attack to her arm. I am very protective of my staff. Many clinics take such dogs in the back away from the owner (and perhaps that is what we should have done in this case) but we rarely do that as we want clients to be involved and see and help us in what we are doing.

My 6 year old Lhasa Apso woke up lethargic and started deteriorating in the matter of hours. We are new to the Orland Park area but had heard great things about Prairie State. We called and they were able to see her quickly. Dr. Fleming is amazing, he cares-about everyone and everything. Mischa had Pyometra and needed emergency surgery. While most will say theyll do anything for their dog, and most of us will-lets be real-you also wonder about cost. In the current economic times its hard to ensure youre ready for these types of emergencies. Dr. Fleming, his staff and Prairie State helped, in more ways than one, and the cost was what we could afford. Hes called us 3 times to follow up after picking her up (in the last 12 hours). Ive had vets that Ive liked in the past, but none have been as humane both to owner and pet, as Dr. Fleming. God bless. ps. Mischas slowly recuperating and with good care (and Dr. Fleming overseeing) I pray shell be her normal self soon.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and veterinarians at the Prairie State Veterinary Clinic! When I first brought my new puppy (Lucy) to see the vet, she still had stitches from her spay surgery at the humane society. They removed them free of charge! Since then, I have gone in for her routine physicals and vaccinations, and I am very pleased with the way both my dog and I have been treated. Dr. Fleming and Dr. Stauffenburg answered all my "first-time-parent" questions, gave me a packet of general information about dog ownership, and took extra time to talk with me about what to expect with my new puppy. I am so grateful for their guidance. Now, as my puppy gets into all kinds of trouble, I often call the office for quick answers to questions. The front desk staff is very knowledgeable and kind, and I always feel better after speaking with them! With many options in the area, I am so happy we chose this one!

Ive been going to Dr. Fleming for 25 years now! He started out coming to the house back then, which was great because my kitten was so scared at the vet office since an infection after neutering with another vet. My baby Dusty lived almost 22 yrs and in EXCELLENT health up until right before he died. He could not have lived that long and so healthy without such excellent care from Dr. Fleming. Dr. Fleming loves what he does. He loves the animals and you. It is so obvious. His prices are so incredibly reasonable compared to other vets. For the past 19 yrs I have drove 1 hr each way to stay with him & I will do so until he retires...which I hope is not soon, though he certainly deserves it! God has Blessed all of us with the gift of Dr. Fleming. May God Bless him as well...he is an Angel of Health to all our pets!!

Took our puppy here five times because of the good reviews. Always had to wait for over 40 minutes for our appointments. From those five appointments, we only saw an actual Vet once. Twice they sent a tech out to give our dog her shot in the waiting room because there were no rooms available (after we already waited for 45 minutes). Unorganized, bad customer service. Its like making an appointment for the doctor, waiting for 45 minutes, and then having them send out a medical assistant to the waiting room to give you a shot and send you home. The only thing I enjoyed there was the politically conservative posters and pictures. Heard great things about Dr. Flemming but I am not sure he exists. Very disappointed. Switched to Midwest Animal Hospital.

Prairie State Veterinary Clinic is one of the best animal clinics i have seen on the south side of Chicago. I am a retired Doctor of chiropractic medicine and have a small dog that has been treated by one of Dr. Flemmings associates, Dr. Tassone. She has treated my pappilion for a president eye infection that i was unable to treat or cure with remarkable results and the infection never came back. I am very pleased with the prices for the time involved in treating rustys condition. I can say based on a professional opinion they are more concerned about the well being of the animals. In the fact that they take the time to diagnose and treat condition of the pet and as well explain things to you as the owner. Therefore i am very pleased.

I have been taking my dogs to Prarie State for at least 5 years. My pets and I have been very happy with Dr. Tassone, who is very sensitive to your pets condition, and Dr. Norton, who, is extremely thorough. The fee schedule is very reasonable. Yes, I often have had to wait for my scheduled appt. I did walk out once after waiting over an hour with my two dogs, even for an early morning appt., but I did get a call of apology and we rescheduled the appt. The issue of chronically being put on hold remains but it is always the same person doing it. Once you get past the front desk, it is all good.

Dr. Fleming is MAGNIFICENT. I love the the office and staff. It is ALWAYS clean. Everyone is very sweet and professional. Dr. Fleming takes excellent care of all of my dogs and puppies. As soon as he holds them you can tell he Loves truly loves what he does. Prices are VERY reasonable. He never does any unnecessary procedures and is always ready to answer ANY questions I have. I very Highly encourage everyone to see him for any pet needs. I drive 45 min one way and would gladly drive longer if need be to see him. Thank You Dr. Fleming for all you do.

I want to thank Dr. Tassone and staff for the great care our cat Mr.Wiggles received. Recently we were in Florida with our animal and ran out of his medicine. I contacted the office and was able to talk to Dr. Tassone. She had a staff member Tracy FedEx it. It is times like this that you realize how concerned the doctors and staff are for you and your pet. Prairie State Veterinary Clinic truly gives exceptional care to the animals and kindness and concern to the owners.
