When shopping for a new vet, I was surprised to find a great one right in my neighborhood. The staff is friendly and always in a great positive mood. The facility is clean and well kept. The prices are reasonable. Everyone there was so caring when I brought my sick American Bombay in, it was as if he was their own pet. I was crushed when I found out he had feline diabetes and had to take insulin. Dr Wahl was the greatest. I never thought a vet would be so caring and compassionate. He helped me to understand it wasnt the end of the world. They kept Denny for two nights and immediately he started to get better. When I went back to pick him up Dr. Wahl explained what changes needed to be made for his care and walked me through the different things I needed to do for my little buddy. He even watched me give him his first shot to make sure I wasnt too nervous and did it properly. He then went on to explain what to expect in the future. Dr. Wahls knowledge and expertise made me more comfortable about the situation. I didnt feel like I was on my own. I felt like I had a team of professionals in my corner the whole time and I still do. My little guy who I thought wasnt going to make it is now back to normal and living life just like he used to. I believe I found a vet for life. Thanks guys, youre the greatest!

Avenue Animal Hospital and their staff are absolutely AMAZING. Today my family and I, unfortunately, had to put down our dog Lilly (unexpectedly) as a family of 6, we werent all together when we heard the news… It was around 1:15 PM when they told us and they had already “closed” 15 minutes prior to that at 1 PM. We wanted everyone in the family to be able to say goodbye and ALL of the staff stayed until around 2:30-3:00 PM until everyone in the family was able to get there and say their goodbye’s. I’ve never reviewed a business online in my life, but because of the unbelievable hospitality, they showed my family during this sad time… I felt compelled to do so (you’ll probably see this same review on every review site that exist because I can’t thank them enough so this is the only way I can) We all want vets that we can trust when it comes to the care of our pets, so if you’re looking for one… I can say with 100% certainty that you’ll be in good hands with Avenue. Thank you again to all of the staff that stayed behind with us... you really made a difficult situation much easier, and my family and I will always be grateful. Thanks again!

Weve been going to Avenue Animal Hospital for almost 12 years and couldnt think of going anywhere else. Dr. Wahl is the absolute kindest doc and has been with us through thick and thin with 5 pets. He and the entire staff and all the doctors at Avenue have always treated our furry family with the best care and always spend as much time with us as we need to understand everything thats happening with our pets medical treatment. As an "overprotective" and worrying pet parent, theyve never gotten annoyed with all my questions and concerns. They are all just the best people around, couldnt ask for better vet care ever. Just wanted to add in one more thing about this staff.... we recently lost our Irish Setter after a 14 month battle with cancer. Not only was the staff of Avenue with us through everything, they made the best recommendations for her care. Upon her passing we received a condolence card signed with personal notes from every member of the staff. This meant so much to me and my family, we were never alone through this tough time. We just love our Avenue family.

Today was our first time here. Dr. Wahl is the nicest Veterinarian we have ever encountered. He truly loves dogs. Took both our Boston Terrier & our rescue Schnauzer for various shots, exams & blood work. They do all labs on premises, and give you immediate results. Yes, the fees are higher than I have paid at other places, but we were never a bit rushed. In fact, the employees spent one hour with my 2 dogs. No waiting, either! And only one mile from my house. Just the compassion aspect alone was worth the extra $100 bux! And the new facility is "state of the art"!! So glad we read the reviews & decided to switch over from our previous Vet in Lemont.

Ive been doing Gryhd rescue for over 16yrs. As the adoption cordinator for Regap (Retired Gryhds As Pets) Ive never seen or dealt with a more professional, knowledgeable Vet. Dr Wahl has spayed/neutered over 2000 gryhds for us. He keeps his prices to the bare minium to help our wonderful Gryhds. Every person that Ive sent his way, has NOTHING but the best to say about he and his staff. I travel 2 hours for his services. Well worth the ride!!! Avenue Animal Hospital has taken care of my pets since 2011 and they are the best. From the front reception desk girls to the vet techs and the veterniarians, everyone I have had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with for the last 6 years has been wonderful. They are a group of very compassionate people who take great care of your pets; they are friendly, understanding and go out of their way to make caring for your pet a pleasent experience. I would recommend Avenue Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a great veterinary hospital for their pet(s).

We have been taking our dogs and cats here for more than 25 years, and continue to do so, even though we have moved and it is now a 40-minute drive! Dr. Wahl and his staff are as caring as can be, and they actually get to know your pets. One of the staff actually named one of her pets after our cat because she had grown so found of him. We would not consider looking for a vet closer to home.

Dr. Wahl, Dr. Young and all the staff at Avenue Animal Hospital are the best. They took care of our Yorkie for many years. We cant say enough about the care that Billie received there. Not only did they take care of him, they also came to our home to put Billie to sleep for us. I cant say enough good things about them. You couldnt ask for anyone better to take care of your pet for you.

I brought my dog to Avenue Animal Hospital for a surgical procedure. My dog has some separation anxiety when he is away from me so I was nervous when I picked him up -- but he was fine! I believe it was because the staff was so friendly and helpful. I will continue to bring my pets to Avenue Animal Hospital from now on.
