I had brought one of my cats into Aamerican because it was the only place I could get her into for emergency care and was close to home. I wasnt thrilled about the reviews, but I had no choice. My appointment went smoothly, I guess. The doctor was older than my 76 year-old grandmother and had a THICK Mexican accent. She told me what was wrong with my cat matter-of-factly and I didnt really believe her [the doctor], especially since the Dr. pointed out, that my cat had extra toes (as if I never noticed?) and gave me the impression that she thought I was a complete idiot. Nonetheless, her infection that I took her in for cleared up within a weeks time using the medicine they prescribed, so I was happy. I was sure though after that visit, I would only use this place as a last resort. Two months later, I had acquired a cat from an individual who didnt take care of him well and wouldnt let me touch his head to what I thought was ear mites (he was very uncomfortable and in pain). So, I decided Id try them again because I was pretty desperate and knew my normal vet (The Cat Practice) probably wouldnt have any availability for at least a few days. I called Aamerican and a young woman with another thick Mexican accent answered and was pretty much useless...no, she WAS useless. I called and asked for an appointment for my cat who possibly had ear mites, she said, "CAT" as if I was out of my damn mind. I asked for an appointment on Thursday and she said to bring him in anytime between noon and 4...which sounded shady...how do you consistently run a business without scheduling appointments? Anyway, after I gave her all the appropriate info, she read it all back to me and none, I mean NONE of it was correct, (in a Mexican accent) "So, well see your dog for mites on Wednesday the 11th. Okthanksbye" If they arent competent over the phone, nothing is going to make me trust you with my pets ever again. Sorry!

I went to AAmerican under less than ideal circumstances twice; my kittens were extremely ill, and the chances of recovery were entirely ruled out. I took them both at different times in their lives, to be put to sleep. The staff is very helpful, and their prices are incredibly reasonable, even more-so than Animal Welfare League. The rooms are clean, and they try their best to offer you comfort during difficult times. I also had the remains of my little ones given back to me in urns that are compact, beautifully designed (different colors for each of my babies), and kept safe in a velvet, inscribed bag. Ive seen reviews for these guys so focused on their accents, when really, if you just take a moment of your time to focus, and listen to them, you will understand just fine, and see that they care very much for their clientele and the animals that come through their hospital.

I was looking for a vet for my Turtle and called around to a few places for prices and they were all genuinely nice until I called A American Veterinary Hospital. The (male) receptionist that answered had a thick indian accent and was difficult to understand (it felt like I was calling my credit card company) The man was rude in general answering my questions about check up prices and hours of operation. At the end he said and I quote "you can come now, if you want, ok" Then he hung up the phone. One of the worst experiences Ive had with someone providing a service. So no I did not go there so I cannot mention anything about the Vets but after that kind of service from the person who answered the phone I can tell they dont care too much about professionalism if they hired that guy.

Prices are affordable to make up for the horrible service depending if the older Dr is in. Took my dogs in to my female dog he said she had a skin condition and when I asked to get her fixed he said she already was. Since i adopted her from someone i believe it. She wasnt. Went back to talk to him he made up lame excuses an when i asked about the dogs skin condition he said the dog was ok he didnt remember what he had told me and he was presuring me to take back the dog for a teeth clean up.Went back to take my other two dogs and they gave somebody elses invoice paper. Never going there again.

Horrible service! It was my first time there and I shouldve ran out as soon as I had a bad feeling. The first thing I witnessed as I walked in is a lady about to walk out when she noticed that she was given a wrong cat. I was there for my dog to get her teeth cleaned. They extracted teeth without asking me first & then tried to charge me. My dog went under anesthesia and had eat earlier that day. I was never asked if she had eaten, I later found out that dogs are supposed to fast like 12hrs before otherwise it can be me dangerous. ugh!!! It was HORRIFIC! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

I absolutely love Dr. Agustin and his helpful team at Aamerican Veterinary Hospital. Compared to prices from other hospitals, their prices are very affordable! Dr. Agustin is also very experienced and helpful. All of my questions were answered and I left feeling very comfortable. The receptionists were also very helpful and cleared up any last minute questions I had. Ill definitely be taking all of my pets there!

Horrible! Please do your research first before bringing your pets here. This older Dr only cares to take your money. He didnt even take a look at my dog! I dealt with his assistant who told me they needed to do x-rays and blood work for X amount of money. Thats it. I walked out as soon as I overheard the Dr tell his assistant to "let us go" when asking if there were other options.

Brought our kitten Oreo 3 weeks ago to Dr. Agustin for declaw. I dont know about the bad reviews but Ive had nothing but good visits. Ive been going to Dr. Agustin on and off for about 10 years, and I always come back. Kudos to Jazmin, she is a very compassionate and sweet lady. Thank you for doing a great job on Oreo & taking good care of him!

Had a very good experience will be taking my other pets here as well they are very nice and compassionate about the animals vet even did additional things for my dog at no charge i highly recommend this vet if your looking for compassionate place to take your pet this is the place

We have been taking our pets here since I was young. I dont live in the neighborhood anymore but I still bring my animals here when they are sick. Everyone is very nice and helpful and the rates are fair.

I took in my doggy coco in because she had Pyometra, and veterinary Cesar took very well of her. I recommend this place to my friends, but i am very satisfied that coco recovered well.
