This emergency room is the worst er I have ever encountered in my life. My mother-in-law was rushed to the hospital due to a fall and she hit her head. She was responsive leaving home but delirious. The time she got to hospital she was still breathing on her on but during the wait she was unconscious and could not breath on her on. We are 5 hours away and got a call from nurse saying she wasnt gonna make it but couldnt tell us anymore information because they wasnt running any test on her she was just laying in the err with no help. We arrived and 5 hours passed but she wasnt up at the intensive care unit they left her there to die. When they wanted her organs they decided to move her to intensive care unit. this is the worst place. Nurses the head nurse at the time was a young black male in his late 30 early 40 who was up most disrespectful. They harvest organs. this place will let you die for your organs. I promise,. Its not over yet. They told us if we didnt sign the paper for her organs then they would go a different way. lied to us if we did sign we would get to be with her longer which signed the papers and not 3 hours later had her in intensive care unit . They would not leave us alone. this girl had us in a room for 8 hours begging. all night! I dont wish this on anyone. Im telling you this emergency room will let you die and treat you like you are not human. I wouldnt recommend anyone do go for a emergency.

I broke my foot on a Friday night after Urgent Care was closed, so the ER was my only option. I got there under my own power, with my own crutches. After an hour wait, I was put in a room, with a screaming prisoner with 3 armed guards in the next room. A half hour later, they did my xrays (the xray tech was great!), then the ER doctor was in before all of the xrays were even completed, told me that my fifth metatarsal was broken, that I needed a splint, and not to put weight on it -- he was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The VERY nice nurse put a splint on my foot and I was on my way. Then I got my bill. $1000 for 5 minutes of the ER docs time (its not like it was hard to read the xray -- it was a pretty straight-forward break; plus he didnt even look at all of the xrays) AND $1700 for the ER visit -- for a splint and xrays. Contacted billing and they found that I had been billed at the wrong level, which will bring my ER bill down significantly (take home message -- always ask and be persistent if you think you have been billed incorrectly). So, really appreciate the hospital and definitely the great nurses. The ER doc is a different story!

Injured my eye removing my contacts and at 6:30 most places were closed unfortunately so I got screwed. We were in there over 3 hours with probably only 20 minutes of services (I understand they may have been busy but wait till the billing portion). First doctor I couldnt tell what language he was speaking but it wasnt english so they gave me a different one. She didnt see anything wrong with my eye by just opening my eyelids and looking at it. So they say I must have just scratched it and put gauze over my eyes and then put a band around my head to hold it there and told me to go to an eye doctor the next day. That doctor tells me the outer layer stuck to my contact and ripped it out and there was nothing to do but let it heal. Columbus regional then sends me a bill for ~$1000 from the hospital itself and ~$500 from the doctor. Everything they did I could have done at home. $1500 bill for 20 minutes of work. Contacted billing and they acted like everything was justified and skated around questions. Will go somewhere else or die before I go get robbed at that place.

I have been to the Columbus ER twice now and both experiences were terrible. The staff is very rude and unprofessional. Its clear they dont take a interest in you or care what is going on. The first incident was a work related injury (my shirt got pulled into a conveyor belt and it tore my skin off of my left breast area) during my visit the nurse and doctor both laughed and made fun of my injury, they told me it was a bad case of road rash but a year later I still have a burning/itching sensation. Today, I went in for back pain (this was my second time this week ) and they just touched the area and told me a few things in WASNT but never told me what it could be... and to call and schedule a MRI this week but in the meantime i can return to work even though i can barlely walk, bend or move without putting me in tears.

A serious joke of a hospital. Its quite obvious they cater to upper middle and upper class folks. I had been going to this hospital since I was born. They are very rude and seemingly on purpose make you wait for hours on time to be seen. Last time I checked this is a hospital not a damn jail. I honestly feel they falsify their advertisements for being great in customer service among other categories. Take it from someone who had to suffer going to the joke of place most of their childhood. Youre better off going to a hospital in the Indianapolis area. To the few good nurses and doctors working at Columbus Regional I applaud you and thank you for the times I was seen by you.

Visited on June 10, 2014 at around 2.35 PM. Very good experience at Radiology and Main reception. Bad experience at the Lab. At the lab reception one person was on the phone and the other seemed deliberately rude. Making the process take longer than needed. The Radiology staff and reception people were awesome. They took great care of me. The procedure was performed in a fast and professional manner. I was in and out exactly on schedule.

Very rude when I first came and not much help. And come to find out they do have OBGYN in their hospital but got info on ever where else. Too many nerses I know they tried which thank you but who ever the two ladies where to check me in really set the mood very unpleasantly way and really dont plan on returning because of the rudeness at the begging of being checked in. I felt very insulted and there is a lot I can say about the disrespect.

I took my son to the ER today and the service was great. We got there at 524 pm and left the hospital at 7:00 pm. My son received the best treatment and respect from the whole staff. Our nurse was Mindy, she was so great and professional. Thank you for being so nice and kind.

The valet parking staff are extremely rude. There are no signs that say you cannot stop by the front door and pick up your loved one. I feel it is just awful a hospital would train their staff and allow them to treat disabled patients and their families like this.
