Dr. Simmons practice has moved. Its now at the corner of Alabama and 10th. Phone still the same. BUT dont trust the receptionist to tell you theyve moved. She didnt tell me and I was late for my appointment trying to figure out their new location on my own. However, they did get me in the day after I called. Their appt. policy is to only schedule 2-3 days in advance, that way you can always get an appointment when you need one, not in 2 weeks. Yay! As for the appointment itself, they didnt weigh me when I came in. I thought that was pretty standard practice, especially for the first time youve ever seen a patient. They also didnt measure my height or take my temperature. Granted, I was there for an injury not a sickness, but still. The office is cute though and the people were friendly enough.

Dr. Simmons has been my primary care provider for over five years. I LOVE Dr. Simmons. She is honest, compassionate, and caring. She is able to get you in for a same day or next day appointment. I called on one occasion and expressed how I needed to see Dr. Simmons the same day and they gave me an appointment for 20 minutes later... AWESOME! Lastly, I appreciate that Dr. Simmons personally calls me to discuss my labs. I will never go to another network clinic where I have to schedule out weeks or months in advance. If you are looking for an A+++ doctor with an exceptionally awesome staff... Dr. Idella Simmons is the way to go! (I have family that comes from an hour away to see her because she is that great!)

I do not recommend going to this person. My daughter had a horrible experience with her in only 2 visits. In each visit my daughters blood pressure was elevated, she with neither told about it (she googled it online)counseled on it..Unbelievable! My daugher shared that she was having headaches, anxiety, insomnia, and bouts of crying and this practitioner told her nothing was wrong and that she should return to work. Her work sent her to speak with someone because they were concerned for her. I immediately told her to go to someone else. Please folks, read reviews before you select someone as important as a medical practitioner. I wouldgive no stars for this type of behavior, but it makes you do 1.

My wife and I both go here. Like another reviewer, I am often the only white person in this office, which has nothing to do with the quality of care that I receive here (which is high). Dr. Simmons takes same day and next appointments which is incredibly convenient for us when our daughter gets sick, has pink eye, etc. Dr Simmons is a very "to the point" kind of communicator, which I prefer. Everyone in the office is beyond sweet, nice, and gentle to my daughter who otherwise hates going to the doctor.

As much as I hate to say it, I was the only white person in the office and Dr Simmons was incredibly rude and insensitive. Not sure if it was because Im white, or because she has zero bedside manner. Wont be returning, and wont recommend.
