For the past three years, I have been struggling with Chronic Daily Migraines. At first, I started having them just two or three times a week, but over time I started having a migraine every single day and they were becoming worse and worse in intensity. For practically the past year of my life I have been unable to really work or have much of a social life at all because of the migraines every single day. Sunlight would trigger them. Too much sound would trigger them. The slightest smell would trigger them. Even the motion of walking some days was enough to trigger an attack. And riding in a car....forget it. I would get vertigo and that would cause a migraine. I was seeing my regular doctor and a neurologist on a regular basis and was on preventative and abortive medications but nothing was stopping the migraines. On December 31, 2014 I got the very worst migraine of my life. My doctor feared I might be having some type of stroke caused by migraine and sent me for a CT scan. Thankfully the CT scan was fine. I was vomiting. I couldnt stand any light or sound. Over the course of the next two weeks I went to my regular doctor nearly every day and to the hospital on an outpatient basis. They tried every abortive IV therapy known to man and none of the medications would break the migraine. After two and a half weeks of failed outpatient therapy, I was admitted to the hospital to try to break the migraine. I spent a week in the hospital and again they filled my body with about every medication known to man. Steroids, Morphine, Ketamine (a well know street drug!), Anti-Seizure medications, Anti-nausea medications....you name it...they gave it to me. Although the medications did help somewhat, they did not end the migraine cycle for me. As I was leaving the hospital, my neurologist said, "Brooke, it could be months before this goes away". Those are not the words you want to hear. I was released from the hospital on Thursday evening. My mom made a call to Storm Chiropractic on Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. and they agreed to see me that evening!!! I was skeptical about the authenticity of acupuncture. On Friday evening, my migraine pain was a 7, by Saturday it was 4, by Sunday it was 3, by Monday it was 2, and by Tuesday my 31 day migraine was officially GONE! Two sessions of acupuncture with Dr. Storm did what a month worth of countless medical visits and medications could not! I have continued to see Dr. Storm over the past 6 weeks. Now remember, I have had a migraine every single DAY for 3 years! Here is what the past 6 weeks have looked like. Week 6: 4 Migraine days. Week 5: 4 Migaine Days. Week 4: 2 Migraine days. Week 3: 2 Migraine days. Week 2: 1 Migraine days. Week 1: 0 Migraine days. In the PAST two weeks I have had ONE migraine!!! Im getting my life back and it is wonderful!!!!!! Im no longer so sensitive to light, sound, and smell. I"m working. Im driving. Im LIVING LIFE AGAIN! After three years of having migraines everyday, my neurological system has a lot of healing to do, but the results so far are evidence to me that acupunture combined with chiropractic care are worth trying if you are suffering from migraines. I chose Storm Chiro, switching to them from another local provider after hearing of Dr. Storms demeanor and approach to personal healing. Initially, I was going exclusively for adjustments, but during one visit He noticed I was complaining of shoulder pain, and I disclosed I was dealing with a torn rotator, and potentially facing surgery. He asked me if I would be willing to allow him to perform acupuncture on it in an attempt to avert surgery. He asked for 10 sessions. I started feeling great relief after 4 sessions and by the tenth, I had full range of motion back and almost zero pain. If he was not attentive to me as a patient, I may have endured costly surgery, medications and excessive downtime. It means a lot when a Doctor devises a plan of which includes when you are to be DONE seeing them as well. Dr. Storm had a plan for my back, and through adjustments and therapy, I am in the best physical and mental health I can remember in my active adult life. I have no more appointments scheduled as he has done his job. I will be seeking his assistance with regard to upcoming therapy for a new injury, without a doubt.

Have to rave about my experience at Storm Chiropractic!! I was practically unable to walk, and had very little range of motion after sustaining a lower back injury. Prior to my first visit with Dr. Storm, I was in so much pain that I was actually felt really afraid to allow anyone to adjust my back in the injured area (especially someone new!!) But I felt so comfortable right away with such a professional and knowledgeable staff, such a peaceful and well run office, and with Dr. Storms obvious expertise. After just one treatment, I felt a lot of relief, not just in the injured area, but in general. After just 3 visits I am much improved!! And looking forward to completing this treatment plan and continuing with ongoing adjustments for general health and wellness. The complimentary services offered at Dr. Storms office provide an opportunity for holistic care, which I love. I have had the opportunity to work with excellent chiropractors in Southern California, and am THRILLED to have found a truly outstanding chiropractor in the Midwest. I would highly recommend Dr. Storm and his staff.

The night before my appointment my pain was excruciating. Despite being on massive amounts of pain killers I couldnt walk. I crawled from a chair to my bed and that was painful. I arrived at the clinic armed with a walker which made it possible to get from the parking lot to the office albeit with agonizing pain. As I entered the office I was greeted by Rebecca who was very kind, sympathetic and accommodating. Recognizing that I was struggling she walked out into the waiting room to bring me patient forms. Before meeting with Dr. Storm I was given a comprehensive explanation of procedures. Next I met with Dr. Storm who patiently listened to my tale of woe, and then explained everything in detail and initiated my treatment plan. I started feeling better immediately. Twenty four hours later I was walking without the walker and the pain had almost entirely subsided. The entire staff including Dr. Storm, Rebecca, and Rachel provide patient care that surpasses anything I have experienced anywhere. I can not offer higher praise or a stronger endorsement.

This place sucks. I called and they didnt know weather they take my insurance or not?? Then said might and can check when I got there only to find out they dont. So im standing there in pain waiting for the dr to finish with a patient just for them to tell me no. What chiropractor didnt know what insurance they take...???!!?? I called a diff place who takes it. And then shes still holding my insurance card and going to talk to the dr in a while conversation about how that system is working and why they dont yet....mean while still waiting in severe pain. I finally had to ask for my card back just to go make a different appointment with someone else. Funny she told me instantly if they take my insurance there.....right a way....I believe storm just wanted to exploit my pain to get a cash payment....Ill never recommend them to anyone.
