This was my first visit. Changed doctors after seeing his rating on Angies List and because hes in Broad Ripple. I had a comprehensive exam at a fair price. The frame selection was excellent. I wanted to get bi-focals that would work with my computer screen at arms length, and also to read with (closer up). Dr. Rob suggested I try progressive lenses, which I did. Unfortunately they just werent right for me, after trying them for about ten days. Without question or hesitation his assistant told me to bring them back...and in about 10 days the frames now held traditional bi-focal lenses....which work great! No charge to replace the lenses whatsoever. Everyone there is personal and professional. Im still getting used to the French bulldog in residence though. Whats nice is that these folks really seem to care that youre 100% satisfied.

Great experience. This is a small optometrist with great character. The staff was very friendly and the doctor was affable yet very professional. The eye exam was thorough and Dr. Rob is very adept at picking up nuances that had been missed by previous doctors. It is clear Dr. Rob enjoys his profession. The selection of glasses was great, with many contemporary designs that you cant find at other places in Indy. I was able to look around and try on different glasses for over an hour and the staff was very helpful in making recommendations. My order arrived with a few days and came out great making a few minor fitting adjustments. I have found a new optometrist and look forward to going back to Urban Optiks in the future.

Terrible experience. Dr was reluctant to explain things to me. He was even more reluctant to order trial contacts for me. Ended up just purchasing some and at 200$ they do not work at all! Dr. complained because I had difficulty finding the right contacts for my astigmatism. Dr. and receptionist gave me a hard time writing a script for eye glasses because I needed to purchase them elsewhere due to cost. I would NOT recommend them. As it is, I guess, since I used my yearly eye exam insurance, I will need to pay out of pocket for another eye dr who is willing to fit me for contacts that work for my eyes. I wouldnt even post a 1 star but they dont offer negative stars.

Dr. Diegel is a thorough and competent optometrist who will always give you his full attention in the quest to find the perfect prescription and the most stylish frames. His ability to match the looks and personality of a customer to a pair of glasses is spot-on. He is chatty and seems to enjoy his work, which makes picking out glasses much more enjoyable! His exams are always thorough and professional, and he also can prescribe contacts and refer patients for laser surgery. Also, he has great taste, and his stores are always clean, comfortable and full of designer eyewear that is always fun to browse!

Urband Optiks is wonderful. They have to coolest frames, great art, friendly, reasonably priced, professional. Dr. Diegel made me feel I was in good hands. I had an opposite experience with Ossip in Broadripple. Rude, overpriced, pushy, dilated my eyes and didnt give me shades at Ossip, I will never go back there again. Urban Optiks is where I will go from now on. They put lenses in my gmoms retro frames, where ossip told me theyd break them cause they were too old. They now look like new. Thank You Dr. Diegel!

I am so thankful for Urban Optics! I had went to a doctor about what I thought was pink eye and apparently had been misdiagnosed. My eyes had been red for a week and itchy for over a week. I was given some medicine that obviously had not worked. I went to see Rob Diegel for help!! He was amazing he found out what was wrong with my eyes, wrote me a script, and gave me some eye drops. I can say two days later I can see again and I feel 100% better. Thanks Rob!!

I came in blind and frustrated cause I had stepped on my glasses and ran out of contacts. Right away they gave me some sample lenses so I could see again! The staff here are super helpful and made sure I was happy with my choice. Once I had picked the frames I wanted, Mel put a rush order so I would be able to get them assign as possible but luckily they had my lens available so I was able to leave with a new pair in 20 min! :) so happy and satisfied!

Attentive, stylish, edgy,…….All words to describe Urban Optiks. As a person new to glasses, I stumbled upon this gem in Broad Ripple. Dr. Diegel and his staff spent over an hour helping me find the right frames. I didnt even have my exam done there (that will change). They will let you know if a set of frames doesn’t work.... If you are in the market for new glasses, and you have any sort of style at all, you have to check this place out!!

TERRIBLE customer service! I called them to make an appointment (my first with them, although Ive been wearing glasses for years and have seen several optometrists before). When the receptionist answered, I said "Hello, Im Bella ----" and she interrupted me to say that their internet was down and she would have to call me back, and then she HUNG UP on me. What kind of customer service is that? No thanks, Ill take my business elsewhere.

I visited Dr. DIEGEL after seeing good reviews on internet. I was initially scared as the office lloked very old and creepy. But as soon as I stepped into his office and started talking to him I felt very comfortable. He is a very good doctor. He spent a lot of time with me and did all the required tests. I felt I am in good hands. I definitely recommend him. He will be my optometrist as long as I live in Indianapolis.

really disappointing. I needed a new optometrist and glasses, and we went in on Friday afternoon. Whomever was working asked me what I needed as if I was intruding-I had to ask her if it was open, and she said yes, the frames are in these cases, were under construction, and left. I could hear her non-stop phone conversation, but I never saw her again. I was kind of creeped out, and with no service, I bailed.

I mistakenly ordered the wrong contacts prescription and Dr. Rob was kind enough to allow me to return the entire six month supply and reorder the correct prescription free of additional charge! Would highly recommend this optometrist as his service to patients is superb and he really strives to keep customers as happy as possible.

Dr. Rob Diegel is an amazing eye doc! Corrected a twice-checked and twice-wrong prescription from that "crafter of lenses" place.. He has an amazing frame selection, and his work space offers a casual atmosphere. As much an art gallery as an opticians office, youll be glad you chose Urban Optiks.
