I have been coming to this dentist office for years and the way I was treated by Dr. Church front office staff ladies was ridiculous. I just finished my treatment for fillings and was walked up to the front desk. I was informed of an amount due today. I explained my understanding is that I would pay the deductible today and the remaining balance after my insurance was billed the claim amount. As I was handing the lady with blond hair my HSA card, the lady with brown hair began to aggressively come at me about the predetermination was made so we already know how much you owe and here you pay before the insurance is billed. I explained I never paid for any services here before and normally when I go to a medical office, I pay after the insurance is billed. This whole conversation is being said out loud where others in the waiting room can hear, very unprofessional. Then the blond hair lady states the reason you did not pay was because you had state insurance, I had to remind her that I have not had the insurance since 2012. Then the brown haired lady would not stop badgering me, to the point I had to threaten to walk out of the office. I have never been treated this way since I have been receiving dental treatment at this office. I expect professionalism when an office staff has to deal with the public and sensitive medical information. The way the conversation has handled by the office I am sure there was a HIPPA violation. This incident became out of hand when the brown haired lady would not stop talking and let me think. The office would have received the full payment had she and the blond haired lady remain professional during a misunderstanding. 8/9/17 I am adding to this post, after I decided to give the office another try because I like the Dental Hygienist I see there. So, I called the office to schedule and appoint for a cleaning, only to be told my account has been marked inactive. I asked why and Amanda in the front office states because of the nasty Goggle review we received. I stated did someone contact me regarding the "nasty Goggle review"...No. She stated it is Dr. Church practice to just inactivate the client when there is an issue with the office. Im thinking this is terrible customer service and not a care in the world about how patients in the office are treated. So, I stated since this is how he treats his patients then I wont be coming back. Shows me they only care about the money and the value of the patient experience. What is so crazy is I see they respond to the good comments, asking how they can make the experience better. Its those who have had a bad experience you should most want to reach out to even more. When something goes wrong do whats right to resolve it. I was all good, then Amanda opened up and let the truth out. Thanks Amanda!

I will give them 1 star for friendliness but beware of their dental service. They are not competent. I had fillings put in and 2 weeks later, they came out!!! They had to glue them back on. Its been barely a year and more fillings have come out. I had a filling on back tooth for 10 years and never had an issue, they took that out and I regret that they did that because that was the strongest filling than they have in their entire office. They dont seem to know what they are doing. Would NEVER go back and wont and regret that I did. So disappointed! I came because of the reviews too but dont believe everything you read. Find out regrettably or not for yourself. In my case, it was regrettable. I want to remain anonymous obviously but rest assured, I was a patient and am no longer due to reasons stated above. I understand that your goal is to do a great job, in my case you fell short, unfortunately for me but lucky you, you still got paid. I, however, will have to get new fillings thanks to your office.

I have put off going to the dentist for way too many years because Ive just disliked going. My husband had dentures back in February and they did an awesome job and then my adult daughter, who was severely afraid of going to the dentist, went in September and they did sedation and she had no problems and just raved at how well she liked them so I finally decided I would go ahead and try them. They are very nice and tell you everything that they are going to be doing and why. All of the people that work there are wonderful. Dr. Church is very nice and did not make me feel ashamed for not going sooner which was a big worry that I had. I would highly recommend Washington Street Dentistry to anyone who has had issues in the past because they are very compassionate and make you feel at ease. Thank you Washington Street Dentistry, you have made me change how I feel about Dentist!

Having dentists in my family for three generations and having spent a fair amount of time in a dentists chairs in six states and two countries, I feel qualified to comment on any given dental practice. Washington Street Dentistry ranks at the top, for me. Not only is the staff cordial and helpful, but the professionalism of both Dr. Church and his assistants certainly ranks at the top. My wife and I began seeing Dr. Church and Washington Street Dentistry shortly after they opened the practice on the far East side of Indianapolis. Ever since, we have been thoroughly satisfied with their work, their attitudes, their service and their desire to serve our dental needs. Across the years I have referred many international as well as American friends to WSD. They all gave me personal feed back in the five-star range. Keep up the good work, guys.

From the time I walk in the door I feel the love from the staff. They greet you by your name when you arrive for your appointments. I think that shows that the staff make it their mission to knew each patient by name. Dr. Church is always so friendly and ask you about your day. I always look forward to my next appointment because the staff is so friendly. Who knew a person would be looking forward to going to the dentist. I like the friendly reminder of appointments whether its by text, email or phone call. I always talk high about my experience I have after leaving the dentist. I always recommend you guys when someone ask my about a dentist. Doing the whole time you are having any procedure done they are always talking to you and reassuring the your are feeling comfortable and make sure that you endure less discomfort as possible.

My experience with Dr church and the entire washington street dentistry staff has always been a pleasant one. They always cater to my dental needs with the utmost professionalism. I recently had a bridge done where there was a missing tooth that I had pulled over a year ago. I went in for my prep two weeks prior where they did an awesome job shaping the teeth that were in front and in back of the open space getting them ready for my temp crown. Once I returned back for my bridge I was impressed that the color matched my regular teeth so perfect. Once we got it to fit perfect, the bridge went in and it was great. Felt like I had my old teeth back!!! .Im back to chewing on the left side now with no problem. On top of that when I smile theres no missing teeth:) Thank you Dr Church and staff for always taking care of me. Will G
