I have had back problems for years from lifting what I shouldnt. I refused recommended surgery twice and had many chiropractic treatments, which helped to a certain degree. But I was having trouble riding in the car. If I drove for more than 20-30 minutes, my right leg would go numb in part of it & have sharp pain in other parts. I had difficulty getting out of the car. I was planning a flight to Alaska & was afraid of the over 5 hour flight. Laura Christensen was referred to me by a friend and I thought "why not?". I am so glad I went. I was short of time, but was able to get two treatments in before the trip. After the first treatment I was able to ride in the car without any pain or numbness. I flew to & from Alaska, over 5 hours each time, and had no difficulty with my leg. I did not have to get up & walk the aisles as I thought I would have to do. The treatment is very relaxing with no pain what-so-ever and VERY effective. I was so happy I decided to give an alternative treatment a try!

Laura Christensen is the very capable practitioner of this clinic. She has a dedication to her patients well-being that comes through on every visit. Her wisdom and expert skills have helped me many times in the past 12 years. Yes, there are needles used for the treatment of your condition, but often times I scarcely feel them. I have been accessing acupuncture and herbal treatments for close to 20 years. The most meaningful experience is to be treated by Laura who knows my bodies history well. She was a significant help in recovery from a brain injury after I was hit by a truck while riding my bike. It is a real advantage to seek treatment for temporary or new health issues as well as my monthly "tune up" for well being. Laura continues her training every year making me feel that her treatment is current and effective. I recommend her to people who speak of chronic pain, slow recovery from the flu, post-surgery w general anesthesia, and digestive difficulties.

Laura Is a standout. She is a compassionate healer who can lead you out of your maze of symptoms, attentive, re-assuring, gifted, Her clinic is clean, comfortable, personalized. I am especially fond of her heated pads on the acupuncture table. Laura will ask a lot of questions before she customizes your treatment. She has extensive resources, her education never ends. She comes from a family of medical professionals and teaches at UI, beyond the demands of a busy practice. She is involved in compiling a network of alternative practitioners in the area.
