We are new to the Grimes/Johnston area, and recently welcomed a french bulldog puppy to our family. When looking for a vet, Westfield was highly recommended by the local dog boarding company in my town. I set up Wally to have his puppy exam, and the staff was very helpful and friendly in making sure I brought what I needed. Dr. Safris took his time with Wally, checking him over and playing with him to read his personality. He was very thorough on answering my questions, and gave us some helpful tips on puppy training. He did notice an irregular heartbeat with Wally and wanted to watch it up until the time of his neuter(Wally was only 8wks at this time). Over the new couple of months, as I brought Wally in for his vaccinations, Dr. Safris would check his heartbeat and give me the updates as he noticed it was slowly going away. When he finally didnt hear it anymore, we scheduled his neuter. I was very happy to see that he was in tune with my dog, and truly cared for his health and safety during surgery. Needless to say, all the staff is great and knowledgeable(if they dont know the answer, they get it quickly), and Wally loves going to see them. Hes always greeted at the door with smiles and treats, and I can always hear the staff in the back having a good time with him. I am happy that we tried this place, and will continue to choose them and refer them as our family vet. Thanks, Westfield!

We have two dogs and weve never had a bad experience at Westfield, but with our newest puppy we had a particularly excellent experience. When he got really sick out of nowhere one ngiht, we rushed him to Westfield, where they performed an exam and some tests. They had to keep him for quite a while for observation, and when they were done Dr. Safris called. He clearly and thoroughly explained what was wrong and what our options were, giving his recommendation as well. He was very patient and answered all of the questions we had. I trust them with the health of my dogs, as well as to educate us on how to care for them properly, as they both have special needs.

I did not like this hospital at all. It was rinky-dink and unprofessional, especially that tech Jessi. She was RUDE and inconsiderate, and it is apparentl that she knows NOTHING about veternary medicine and she is supposedly the office manager! She also cannot spell very well, which is a put off to me when you are in a management position. I was overcharged and then the girl could not even figure out how to take the credit off, so I was paid back less than I should and had to go back for a 3rd time to get my money back. WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I have taken my dog to other vets in the past, but I was delightfully surprised when we began taking him to Westfield. We have been seen by all of the veterinarians at Westfield over the span of five years, and they are all helpful and knowledgeable. The staff is so helpful, so nice, and really a pleasure to work with. They are always wearing smiles, and genuinely seem happy to work there. They always recognize us, even if we only see them a few times a year. I would recommend their services to anyone who wants great service and expertise in their vet.

Been going to Westfield for years now. Drs. Paulin and Saffris SAVED the life of my then 8 year old Mastiff. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma, after consulting with specialists at Iowa State we decided amputation followed by chemo was a viable option. Now as she heads toward her 11th birthday, shes still going strong! Everyone has always treated her as though she was their pet. I have never felt uncomfortable. The doctors always listen and allow me to be engaged in her care plans. I have never doubted my decision to take her to Westfield.

The staff and doctors have been wonderful to my family and our ARL dog of 1 year. He has been a handful. They have been able to guide us how to help him and us make our transition together smoother. They take even the silliest question that I might have and communicate sincerely with a response and assistance! Dr Safris is an amazing vet who has compassion, provides amazing medical care, & has a very kind & heartfelt bedside manner for all of his animal patients as well as their human companions. He is one of a kind and goes above and beyond to care for all animals and has done so many things for our dog that we will never be able to thank him enough. Definitely a huge recommendation in the metro out of any vet out there!

Weve taken our 2 dogs to both Dr Safris and Dr Paulin over the last 5 years, and both are fantastic with our pets. Their gentle and compassionate care has made going to the vet a positive experience for us and our pets. All the staff members we have worked with are friendly and knowledgeable. If they dont know the answer they will help you find it. Prices are reasonable for the area and level of care is excellent.

My dog is fearful and anxious around new people and different places because of his past and is very protective of me. This has lead to growling and lunging to try to keep people away. The Westfield staff has worked with us to make sure he gets the best care and enjoys being there. They are patient and understanding about his needs regarding his behaviors. They treat him like he is one of their own.

This is the BEST Veterinary Hospital around! The doctors and staff are just wonderful. I am so happy to have found a knowledgeable, caring clinic that takes the time to address the needs of pets without rushing you out the door. Our dog couldnt have enjoyed the experience more and I know she will be excited to go back. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone.

We have been going to Westfield for 12+ years - that should say alot about them. We have been pet owners for over 40 years and Westfield has by far the most caring and knowledgeable staff that has ever treated any of our pets. They greet, treat,and handle their patients as if they were their own pets. Couldnt ask for a better facility for our pet.

We have been clients here for 5 years now, all the staff is friendly and helpful. Both vets are so great with my dogs - they treat them like family! Everyone takes the time to answer questions and give the proper attention each visit. The office is bright and clean and has separate feline and canine waiting areas. I highly recommend this place!

Have always had awesome experiences at this clinic.. They get right down on the floor with you and make sure you understand everything they are telling you.. We have been taking all 3 of our Dogs there since they were Pups and they are always great to us and our Babies... I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know who has animals!!!
