Money grubbers that make you pay for services you dont need. I had several fillings redone because of the advisement of the Dr. Jensen. I went in again for a routine check up and Dr. Jensen no longer worked there. They told me he moved to Texas to be closer to family. The other dentist, one of the owners, had to do my check up and said I had to get a filling redone because it was going bad. That is impossible because I just got that done by Dr. Jensen about 7 months ago. I dont eat a lot of sugar and brush my teeth religiously - to offset how bad I was when I was child. I told him that the fillings should last more than 7 months and that I shouldnt have to pay for that. He said that since Dr. Jensen was no longer and since he was the one who did the filling, they wouldnt do it for free. These filling where not cheap either about $300 for the white fillings. I was so furious! I did a search for Dr. Jensen and found out that he was actually facing charges for doing services that were not necessary. I confronted the dentist office over the phone about this and they still wouldnt redo my filling. After that I called an old friend whose dad is a dentist. I had him check out my fillings and he said they were perfectly fine. I also told him that they recommended crown on one of my back molars and he thought that was insane. I definitely didnt need that. So if youre looking to spend a lot of money on dental procedures you dont need, go to Plaza Dental. They also wont redo the fillings if they dont hold up even if it was by one of their own dentist - who was being sued for that same reason. Plaza Dental Response- Yes you contacted me and I missed your call, but really its too little too late. I asked for help when the situation was happening and you did nothing. I called and asked several times about my situation, even bringing up that I found out that he was being sued. I was stopped cold saying that since that dentist was gone I would have to pay full price.

I went in to have a chipped tooth checked out. Turned into... Since the area is numb, want to do do these other two things? I said sure, and agreed to the figures presented me, paying what I was told was my share after insurance. I paid extra for gas, and then spent a silly amount of time waiting for them to get it turned on and hooked up right. Realized after the appointment, my amalgam filing was removed unsafely(no dental dam, separate air). I really regret having had that done, especially considering I was nursing a 6mo old at the time. I had light swelling/tenderness the first day or two that I thought was normal. Went totally away, then came back a few days later. Much more swelling than Id experienced initially. Phoned in really worried, and was told no doctor would see me because it was a Friday. I did get a phone call from the dentist a short time later(after pressing for it), who assured me it was probably just tissue trauma from having my mouth open so long. Have had two separate dental professionals confirm they should have absolutely seen me to make sure everything was ok. Whatever was done for the chipped tooth didnt hold, and I received a bill later for an additional 153$. Ive never received an additional bill from a dental office before like this after paying what I was told itd be at the appointment. If Id been given correct numbers at the time, Id have chosen to wait on some of the work. Ive called and left at least one, maybe two messages requesting a call back regarding the bill- plus one this afternoon. No one has phoned me back at this time. My brother referred me, and I am fairly certain there was to be a referral deal that was never applied, as well. Everyone was nice there! But Im not impressed with the actual work, both in my mouth and in the office.

A simple google search landed me with the absolute best dental team I have ever experienced. I went in for an evaluation on an implant ... a few hours later it was essentially done!!! No hype or rituals to schedule a bunch of appointments, just getr done. Dr.Steffany is so friendly and skilled my trip was an actual delight. Joelle numbed me and took imprints all the while smiling. The whole place seems to smile continuously. One can tell when they are in a place of comfort, when it just feels right, when you know they are there because they want to be. This is the place. The lady helping Steffany (whirlwind...forgot her name ...so sorry) was comforting and you could tell they all work well together. I cant believe how "fun" it was. I have never said that before :-) I had my bone drilled and a titanium implant put in and it was actually fun ... easiest procedure Ive ever had done ... "no big deal". I dont really know how many hurdles they jumped for me (it was a long drive from home) but they were sensitive to financial constraints and just made it happen FOR ME!!! Dont worry if it looks as though Steffany is not "old enough" to be doing these implants ... she has been roughly 20years at it.... but I could have sworn she was just out of college ... ha ha.

Its been a long time coming to get my teeth fixed with a few HUGH spaces. I had a few consultations on a 6 month smile and decided to go with Plaza Dental. The reason I decided at first to go with Plaza Dental was for one reason only and that is because they were less expensive than the other quotes received. Little did I know how much more I would gain from this choice and experience. The staff members are great. Very welcoming and they make it personable by knowing your name, treating you like youre the only patient and you matter. The dental assistants are AWESOME especially Tessa :-). Because of the great service I am receiving I have decided to take my personal dentistry there. Dr. Mohan is an awesome person and doctor. I love, love her. I am very pleased with Plaza Dental for my dental care. I so recommend Plaza Dental Group to everyone. Ann Barron-West Des Moines, IA

Most people dont like going to the dentist if that is you this is the place to come. I no longer dread going to my dental appointment. Immediately I felt relaxed with the dentist and staff. I was given a heated neck wrap and if you are still a little on edge they will give the nuwave treatment this is wonderful it instantly puts you at ease. I have seen both Dr. Mohan and Dr. Deedrick and both are fantastic and want to make sure you are comfortable and take the time to really talk to you and address any concerns you have. My hygienist is Larysa and she is fantastic very nice, personable she really cares and it shows in her work. Just a great place all around and I cant say enough good things about the Dentists and the entire staff!
