Excellent service...insane pricing! First, I had come to this office after hearing about their great service. They were not wrong. Everyone here is very nice: in person, via e-mail and on the phone. But dont expect that great service to come at a reasonable price! I moved here from Iowa City. Through my many years there I had two dentists and know how much things cost. Granted, Des Moines is bigger, so maybe this office is trying to charge for the skyline far away downtown, I dont know. They do take dental insurance, which I have. I went in to my first appointment and they did a full check-up and cleaning which included x-rays. I had told them when and where I last had x-rays less than a year ago, but they still did the full panel of them. They commented on numerous occasions on the quality and excellent condition of my teeth. After my first visit I was told insurance would pay 70% and I had to pay $85 upon leaving. They also stated I had a cavity and made a follow-up appointment. On that appointment I had a cavity filled and was billed $213 when leaving. THEN I got a bill for another $130 which they say insurance didnt pay. I called and they still claim insurance paid 70% but not all that they thought and that they had even reduced it for this and that. If insurance paid 70% and I paid over $400, then that means for a cleaning, check-up and cavity fill on a mouth in excellent condition; they billed insurance well over $1000!! Ive never had to give dental check-ups a back seat to my wallet and dont plan to do so now. That means no more visits to Heritage Dental unless I win the lottery. The standard phrase is "you get what you pay for." For that much Id expect solid gold fillings, not plastic. Ive since found a great, local dentist with up front pricing that wont try to "get you" with a huge bill they sent to insurance that they wont pay though they work with the same carriers daily and know exactly what they will pay.

I had gone to a couple of Dentists in the D.M. area before I found Dr. Timmerman. Those places were more like a factory than a dental office. I felt like a number and my time did not seem to matter as I waited to be seen. Dr. Timmerman and his staff at Heritage Creek Dental were great, they got me right in and truly seemed to care about my dental care. They took the time to explain what they were doing, what they found and what I needed to do to ensure I was taking care of my teeth. Dr. T has fixed some work that was done poorly by a previous dentist and I could not be happier. Their office has state-of-the art equipment, my regular cleaning vists are always on schedule and my visits are pain free. I will continue to use their office due to several fantastic experiences. The whole team appears to communicate and work very well together. Thanks to Heritage Creek and Dr.Timmerman, I am not worried about going to see the dentist anymore!

This really is a top notch dental practice and its new to the area so many may not know yet. Dr. Timmerman is extremely friendly and intelligent. I just went for my first appointment because I changed dental insurance providers and he was the closest in network dentist. Im lucky that was the case. He uses state of the art equipment and explains why and what it does. I would recommend Heritage Creek to anyone, plus after the visit, instead of the standard toothbrush/floss (which I also received), I got a gift bad that also included free orbit gum (he explained chewing a sugarless gum after eating is the next best thing to brushing after eating) and a free 14 day package of crest whitening strips. Hes also extremely friendly and helpful, so is the staff. Its right across the street from Living History Farms and not hard to find at all, right off of Hickman.

After searching all morning to find a dentist close to my work since my regular dentist was "out of town" for two weeks and I needed emergency service, I called Heritage Creek Dental. The staff was VERY friendly and got me in right away to repair my tooth. By going above and beyond for me, my family will start going to this dentist from now on. The staff and Dr. was excellent! Thanks again for getting me so fast & helping with my tooth!

Heritage Creek Dental is a wonderful place to go to for all your dental needs. They are flexible and have extremely friendly customer service. Dr. Helen has been so flexible on fitting me for an emergency bonding on a Friday afternoon, and then notified me of an opening last minute when I was wanting a cleaning on a certain date. They remember your needs and are very informative. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have never visted a dentist office that was actually enjoyable to go to, Until now. I had received some dental work today, and my experience was great! My first appointment with Heritage Creek Dental was a joy and every one there was professional and friendly. I would recommend Heritage Creek Dental for all ages, Dr Timmerman is great! Heritage Creek Dental is great. I was looking for a new dentist as I wasnt satisfied with my current provider. I am an EMT, so I have a background in medical care and as far as dentists and a dental clinic go, they are knowledgeable and up to date. They have a great atmosphere and modern setting. Dr Ehlen and her whole team are amazing!! They are very kind, thorough and professional. The office is accommodating and they can almost always get you in right when you need them. Dr Ehlen is GREAT with kids as well. My son has even gotten a filling without needing to be numb, she is THAT GOOD! Our family loves this office and I highly recommend them

Amazing service!! My young daughter had a cavity filled today and Dr Ehlen explained everything before during and after the process. She kept checking to make sure my daughter was pain free and the minute she said it hurt she stopped and numbed her up more!!
