Nice guy but Old School. I moved here from Iowa City in January 2010. First, Dr. Baldwin changed my allergy shot schedule to a more conservative one without telling me. I had to find out from a communication with my Iowa City University Hospitals allergist. Then, his nurse got in a fight with an Iowa City nurse and kept a) literally crying to me about it and b) asking me to intervene. Then things were OK for a few years until a major sinus infection hit. In Iowa City, it took almost three years and a team of tier-one university research doctors to determine that it takes several courses of antibiotics plus oral steroids to knock out my sinus infections. Dr. Baldwin is "uncomfortable" with more than one course. He refuses to treat my sinus infection (which is now in week 4 and has only partially responded to treatment) further and wants me to go BACK to an ENT instead -- the same people who have repeatedly said that they cant help me. He also operates on a paper basis, which often results in my having to remind him and his nurses that I cant take several medications without a bad reactions. Im looking for a new, more progressive and assertive allergist. Preferably someone who uses computers and trusts his patients more. He also wont see you if you have a fever and doesnt want to prescribe you anything UNLESS he sees you.

Highly recommend him. Dr. Baldwin and his staff are so nice, and very kind. He is an excellent doctor and has helped me so much. He actually helped discover what I thought was horrible allergies from a chronic cough was actually reflux. The cough is now gone, and I had been seeing my PCP for 3 solid months over that cough, which he helped cure from one office visit. I have since developed pollen allergies, and see him and his staff for allergy shots, and theyve helped so much. I love going here, and I recommend him to all my family and friends.

Great experience with Dr. Baldwin and his staff. Highly recommend!! Since moving here in July of 13 and starting the allergy shots, my son is off his daily medicine and next month will be completely off his inhaler. he is doing great even in the high allergy season.
