I was told nothing else could be done for my little "Angel," a 17-year old AKC registered, female, spade Maltese. Diagnosed with Cushings and Kidney Disease, and being blind and deaf, I was prepared to put her to sleep Wednesday morning, May 11. But, when I called my Vet in Louisville, who has seen Angel since she was 8-weeks old, he wasnt in. An omen? A God send? I think so! I called Finchville Animal Hospital (we live in Taylorsville), and told them what was going on. I had an appointment within 30-minutes. When I arrived, the euthanization paper was ready for me sign. But, something told me to get a second opinion. After all, Angel was still eating and drinking! I could not have been more pleased with the facility, the staff, and especially Dr. Rexroad. She answered all of my questions, was very patient, and said that we can do this, this, and this! Dr. Rexroad administered an IV of fluid therapy (Angel was a little dehydrated), which I will administer to Angel on an every-other-day basis, and gave me medication for her diarrhea and arthritis, and phosphorus to help with her Kidney Disease. (I will still give Angel her herbal liquid med for the Cushings.) Although I know Angel will pass over the Rainbow Bridge one day, I know that in this last stage of her life she is in excellent hands with Dr. Rexroad and her staff who are compassionate, caring, and considerate. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend Finchville Animal Hospital in Finchville, KY!

Dr. Rexroad has been our vet for years and we now drive about 20 extra minutes to see her at Finchville...and wouldnt have it any other way. Shes very caring, extremely thorough, always does what is best for our precious furries (and for us), and she takes time to explain everything. Last year she did everything she could to save our wonderful Tom cat and we will be forever grateful for that. We (me, Blue and Harley) look forward to seeing her and Ms. Theresa (and the amazing techs) when we visit. Highly recommend FAH! Very warm and friendly office with outstanding customer service.

I am new to the area. My Great Dane Zeus was having some problems and I needed to get him in. I was a bit worried about finding a new vet but that disappeared from the moment I walked in the door. The staff was welcoming and comforting. Dr. Rexroad was wonderful and took time to explain what was happening with Zeus and made sure I understood my instructions. I highly recommend Finchville Animal Hospital!

I highly recommend Finchville Animal Hospital. My dogs are large bullmastiff breed and we have taken them here since they were puppies. The staff takes the time to get to know them and never seems rushed. All of the doctors and staff have always been available for questions and emergencies, and very responsive. The dogs love going there which says alot in itself.

Finchville Animal Hospital is the ONLY place I will take our dogs. They have cared for our large energetic dogs on numerous occasions, including when our husky-shepherd mix was hit by a truck. Amazing vet, no argument. However, if youre short on cash your pet is directed elsewhere. No payment arrangements, no checks held until payday (even for 48 hrs at $300+). She can and will help your baby for cash, and only then.
