Sadly I am only 20 years old and been there three times this year in a three month period.. the staff dont care about the patients. My doctor his name is Doctor Buck he was in ward 602 he told me that since I was cutter that I would enjoy the albilfy shot cos of the pain. He also said I was a very beautiful young woman, I found that very unprofessional and very unapporate coming from a doctor towards a patient.. they gave us nothing to do but color, could only go outside where there was a gate more like a cage blocking us from seeing everything.. food was horrible. My roommate on a daily fought with the nurses cause they wouldnt listen.. only if you are on the one on one would a staff pay any attention to you.. last time I went on March 23, 2016 I tricked the staff into letting me go.. the key is to tell them what they want to hear.. they dont care, theyre way over crowded and way understaffed.. a staff member dont remember his name but he came in my room one night and tried to sexual assault me I screamed for Mrs. Anna and he lost his job.. but she talked me into not reporting it to the police.. very unclean place

My 19 yr old son is in Western and it is just awful!. This is his 3rd trip there. There are men and women being bunked on the same floor. They wonder aimlessly around coz they have nothing to occupy themselves with. Only one tv on the entire ward. The food they receive is cold and doesnt look very appetizing at all. Totally understaffed and the staff that is there are usually holed up in a office and not out on the floor where they should be. Not very good supervision.. These poor patients are treated with disrespect and contempt. No supervision in the showers! My son has told me he was accosted in the shower. When he got upset about it do you know what they did?! They sedated him and put him to bed! God only knows what all really goes on behind the locked doors of this so called hospital! Please pray for ALL the patients who have to be here. They really need your prayers. Pray the staff realizes that these people have problems they cannot control and they need to have patience and understanding.

I just received a phone call about my sister. She has been in Western State for a couple of weeks. They suddenly released her without warning. They said come and get her or we will put her in a taxi. When they got there to get her they were putting many of the patients into taxis and sending them on their way. They give the paperwork to my sister instead of her husband. She is just as paranoid as she was and will not let anyone know what is going on. Nobody knows what medicine she is supposed to be on and she wouldnt take it anyway. They refused to get them a doctor to talk to and nothing has been resolved. The situation at home is still dangerous and I guess the only thing they could consider was that Christmas is next week. I wish we had read the other review earlier.

this place stinks. i dropped my 65 year old father off so hed stop using all the hot water in my house. i came back two weeks later to see if he had learned his lesson and he defecated over himself so much it stained his skin brown. its been an adjustment to us as a family but it has affected his mental state so far that he now speaks in slang and demands we call him jerome.

I have been a patient there three different times. Twice for ten days and once for two days. I received nothing but the very best of service. I was monitored. I was seen by an entire team of Drs who helped me out of my funk and got me properly medicated. I give this place FIVE STARS because ten arent available.
