Shame on you. Patients are just paychecks and overbooked with long waiting time. I had an appointment with them that I could not make because my daughter got really sick in 2013 and ended up in the hospital so 20 minutes after our appointment time they called and I told them that and they were very upset that I did not cancel while my daughter was fighting for her life even after I apologized. Granted, I should have cancelled but was honestly not thinking about them since I had to rush my daughter to the hospital that day. I stayed with them still and never missed another appointment. I also stayed because my daughter has special needs and didnt want to change to build consistency. Fast-forward to this year, 2016. My daughters baby tooth didnt fall out so they forcefully told me to extract it instead of waiting for it to fall out and said that theyll make the insurance pay for it by just lying to them and claiming that shes in lots of pain. When I hesitated, they told me not to worry about it, they do this all the time and just go with it. Around this seem time, there was an incident with a kid that died after having a tooth extracted/pulled out in the news so yes I was nervous. I asked them to get a clearance letter from my daughters doctor due to her complex health issues and let me know BEFORE WE PROCEEDED. I also told them that this will give us enough time to see if the tooth will come out on its own. They told me that it will be fine and TENTATIVELY set up the appointment anyway. I never heard back from them. The day and tentative set time of the surgery, the receptionist called and and asked if I was still coming for the surgery? I responded and told her that I didnt hear back from them and was waiting. The rude person on the phone started raising her voice at me and scolded me as if I was a kid informing me that time was money and that they didnt have to call me to tell me anything. I shouldve just showed up and now they are loosing money. I asked to speak to a manger and she put me on hold and after 5 minutes or so, hung up. I called back a few times but to know avail. I waited for a few days to called in hopes of having another person answer to speak to a manager but the same person answered and said that the manager does not want to speak to me since I made them loose money since they had to block out and schedule more time for surgery so they dropped both of my girls as patients. Plus I didnt show up for an appointment in 2013???? Really? I understand that you have a business to run, remember this is my child and her safety comes first. I am very disappointed and you should be ashame of yourself. This is part of the problem with all of the high insurance cost.

Worse experience ever. All of the people that I dental assistants I dealt with were so rude!!! The first visit Blair took my daughter back and told me that I needed to wait in the lobby because I was not allowed to come back with my daughter. I didnt even get to see the dentist until I asked the nice woman at the appointment desk if I was going to meet the dentist before her procedure. The dentist had really good bedside manners, racheal and the curly head appointment desk clerks was very nice!

My boys have been coming to Dr. Hunts office for 4 years. We have had nothing but great experiences with the staff!! The kids love to play in the game rooms while they wait and they are always rewarded with prizes and balloons when they are finished. We are always looking forward to our next visit!

My family of 3 have seen both Dr. Hunt and Dr. Wood for over 10 years, and we have always received the best care. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. To top it off, my kids enjoy the games and slide.

Best Dentist in Baton Rouge. Dr. Johnnie Hunt and Dr. Brooke Wood are both excellent and only have my childrens best interest at heart! I am going to be upset when my children are too old to go there!
