I took my dachshund into be treated for his hind legs barely able to get him up stairs. He was actually doing better than normal, but they chewed me out for using Childrens Motrin that my physician treats their dog with. They did some "adjustment" of the spine which was a pricey spring operated gadget that actually made him worse. But the staff are all nice but there is pressure for money. The receptionist hunted me down when I took my dog for a walk while they prepared the Rx like Inwas leaving without paying which kind of insulted me, and only gave a weeks supply so wed be back again to have more pricey add on services and a $70 Rx, so As nice as they seem, perhaps the overhead has them pressured for money, which doesnt rest well coming from an affluent neighborhood in the Dallas area. Its hard to find a dachshund specialist because thats what he really needs, I think, but as a general Vet I think they do an adequate job for a small community. Everything is high here because its so beautiful and they compete with Vail to be the best and Vail has the disadvantage of being further away and ugly so they have to throw money at the problem and that causes the same effect in Breckenridge. But it truly is the most beautiful place on earth, but when Loft tickets are $180 a day, things in general are not going to be cheap because its the second highest price for loft tickets in the world and the most expensive is, you got it right, Vail, Colorado, so prestigious Breckenridge is right up there with the best and most expensive, but you wouldnt want it any other way.

My dog was hit by a car and could not swallow after the accident so I took her here as it was the only place open on the weekend. The vet tech/receptionist was very friendly and caring but the doctor was terrible. He did not take his time to address some major issues that were quite obvious (swelling of her neck and possibility of infection w the tube) and seemed to rush the whole procedure. When I went in a few days later my dog could eat and drink on her own and seemed very agitated by the neck tube as it had been in for almost a week. He walked in tried to feed her some nasty treat when she was scared as hell and when she didnt show interest he said "keep it in one more week" and walked out. I asked about infection and the vet tech was surprised she wasnt prescribed antibiotics but didnt do anything. They charged me $30 for a new bandage and sent us home. Two days later her tube is spewing puss and clearly infected. I took her into farmers korner vet and they have been fantastic so far. Emergency visit was $175 as soon as I walked in the door here but at farmers korner its $75 and youll actually get good care. Dont take your animal here unless there is absolutely no other option.

Like a lot of people, our dogs are treasured members of our family. Breck Animal Clinics staff has always been a tremendous support for us. Most recently, our 6 year old Bernese was diagnosed with a rare Mast Cell Tumor. Dr. Ed helped us step by step deal with a diagnosis and took actions that have now led us to remission. The staff has not only made repeated follow-up calls to check on our dogs progress, but they took it upon themselves to call numerous pharmacies to find a treatment that we could afford. I cannot thank the doctors and the vet techs enough for helping us find an affordable treatment that has not only allowed us to keep our dogs quality of life strong, but allowed us to keep our sweet boy in our family. Thank you, Breck Animal Clinic! And thank you for always greeting us with a smile, no matter the circumstances.

Ive been bringing my dog to Breck Animal Clinic for over 2 years and couldnt be more pleased. I mostly see Dr. Ed, who takes great care whether its a regular checkup, or an emergency (like a dog stuck full of porky quills!). Hes always quite thorough in explaining what’s going on and what is needed to be done, and patient in answering my questions. His love of animals is clear, as is his extensive knowledge. I’ve also seen Dr. Watson a few times and have been happy with him as well. ALL of the staff is always so friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the vet techs. I always recommend Breck Animal Clinic to anyone looking for a vet in the county.

I brought my dog here after I moved to the area and they were amazing! She has a heart murmur and they recommend I get her rechecked and stated she probably needed to go one some heart medication. A Vetrinary cardiologist came right to their clinic and they were right! She has been on the medicine for a few months and she is back to acting like a puppy she has so much energy!
