Do not trust this office. If you do it will cost you. I had a great experience with the Banfield in Oregon so when I moved here I transferred all my records down. We were due for a comprehensive so I scheduled that a week after we arrived. What they failed to tell me is that El Paso has an incredibly high heartworm rate, unlike where I lived in Oregon, and that its recommended to have your dog on preventative treatment. This was back in June mind you. Early September a friend mentioned the heartworm issue so I called this vet to find out why they hadnt said anything back in June. After speaking wth the tech they mentioned that because hes on comfortis until October they werent going to say anything until they switched him to trifexis, since its the same medication. Not knowing any better I hung up, and then my curiosity got the better of me. After looking up comfortis I called my original office back in Oregon. Comfortis is a flea medication only, and my dog has been completely unprotected since June, through the wettest season of the year. They needlessly put my dog in danger of contracting something very preventable. Thankfully after visiting the west side office he tested negative and is now on preventative meds. Had he been positive I likely would have pursued legal action. Had I not researched the medication and second guessed what they were telling me my dog would have continued to be unprotected through October. They had full access to my records and knew full well I was new to the area. Ive never dealt with a vet like this and warn all of you to avoid the place because your animals lives may depend on it.

The absolute worst. First I took my new puppy that I got from the animal shelter to visit them because he was coughing really bad. I looked up his symptoms and it said it could be kennel cough from being in the shelter. So I called to set an appointment and I explained to the nurse what was going on. Once I took my dog in, Dr. Dalin said he had distemper. I asked was it ok to keep the dog around my two cats at home and she said "YES, no worries its not contagious". After $125 for the first visit ( which was after all the work done and I had a free visit coupon) and a second visit of $63 and being told most puppies dont survive distemper ....... My dog still has a minor cough and the cats both now have kennel cough which is contagious between cats and dogs. I recommend not taking them here. I also gave them his shot records which were lost and Ive called multiple times and COURTNEY( who took the records from me) has yet to give me a call back. And no one can seem to find them. Ill be sure to write corporate about this. Totally unsatisfactory. They want to charge me $80 to check the cats that were doing just fine before they told me I could keep the animals together. I advise you to take them somewhere else. Someone that knows the difference between kennel cough and distemper. Horrible experience.

We took our German Sheppard to get his teeth cleaned and shots. They called us and told us he was ready to be picked up. We got there and they brought him out and he looked so sick. My dogs tongue was huge, and swelled up and he could not even walk. Long story short the vets came out picked him up and took him back inside. The thought he had gotten an allergic reaction to the anesthesia but were not sure. Hour or so later they advise that we have to transport our dog to the emergency hospital on Airways and right away say they are paying for everything. The next day the vet calls and says my dog had probably like around the kennel he was at and the cleaning chemical that they use was not diluted or mixed properly!!!! So what my dog had was the side effects from whatever chemical he came in contact with. There was another dog at the ER hospital with the same symptoms. Well they were both at Banfield next to each other. This happened Tuesday and they are both still at the ER hospital. My dog is still nauseous and has not eaten since Monday. Hoping he does recover. Never again will I talk him to Banfield!

One of the worst pet Hospitals you can go to bad service dont have emergency walk ins but advertise they do, I had my puppy 5 months old hurt bleeding out by getting shot by a police officer and I was a member and my dog would go there for check ups and when I go for help they didnt want to help me because I wasnt able to pay $850 right then and there. I asked for a payment plan and they refused and told me they couldnt help me how can someone work to help animals but refuse to help my puppy because I didnt have the money I had to put him to sleep because his skin was infected and had no other option, how can you work as a vet to help animals but tell me that you cant help because of money ,

Their website says walk-ins welcome. They arent. They call themselves an animal hospital but dont offer any walk-in emergency services. This is so not an animal hospital but more like a sorry you have to have an appointment vet. All I got was "We dont have anything available until Monday. Maybe this other place could help." Dont advertise walk-in or hospital because all you are is a vet. The vets I have been to provide better emergency services than this "hospital" and guess what if theres an emergency they take it. Sad this happened on a day our normal vet isnt open. I will definitely never come here again.

This place is so amazing. My dogs are treated wonderfully each time. I love that they leave messages when ready to pick up. The people are great as the Drs are too. I see People keep complaining about services but honestly if you go anywhere else your going to be paying just as much. I love that they offer Preventive care plans for a monthly payment. As far as emergency obviously it doesnt state they are an emergency clinic duh. Go to the emergency vet for emergencies. You dont go to your primary care doctors for when your leg is falling off. Banfield and there team are just so amazing.

Ridiculously overpriced! $60 for a rabies vaccine, $40 of that was for an office fee! Seriously, an office fee! Youre in a giant store Banfield, not a state of the art, luxury, standalone, pet spa. Not only was it almost half an hour past the appointment time before seen, but staff obnoxiously tried to upsale for random vaccines even after specifically stating all that is needed is a rabies vaccine. Spend time researching a local vet & stay away from this place unless you know, you occasionally set fire to bundles of money while your dog sits there and waits uncomfortably.

They are always re-scheduling appointments when I schedule them months in advance. Then they expect me to just adjust at their convenience. I upgraded the pet insurance for dental and made the appointment 6 mo. And they want to re-schedule it for three weeks later. Only reason I gave them two stars is because the vets are nice and actually care for my pet. Its always "sorry theres nothing we can do". How about you cancel somebody else and do what you do to me and fit my pet in? Ridiculous.
