If I could rate my experience here a Zero I would! I took my dog here for “treatment” where he was miss-diagnosed for pancreatitis. This was hands down one of the WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. I walked my sick dog in on a Friday and carried him out the following Monday where he DIED a week later. After being miss diagnosed by Dr. Wade and told that his way of treatment is NO FOOD even when he was eating fine before he came in I was forced to take my dog to a new place. For those of you unfamiliar with pancreatitis it is a very painful situation and the "Old School" way of treatment is no food or water, only I.V. until it heals itself. When I say old school I mean over 10 years old. New studies are proven that small amounts of food/calories are very important to help with the animal’s recovery and energy. That being said Dr. Wade had my dog on I.V. only for over four days with no food. Every day I am noticing my beloved dog get worse and lose critical muscle mass. I finally pulled the doctor to the side, after asking over 15 other vets whom ALL said my dog should be receiving food, and told him I wanted him to be fed. Dr. Wades response "If you feed that dog and kill him it isn’t my fault", " I am going to make notes that YOU told me to do this because I could lose my license". My question is what if he dies from no food? Is that still MY fault? Not to mention the agony of starving to death! It is overly frustrating when a medical “professional” refuses to listen to outside advice. If all doctors or people in the medical field were this stubborn and only doing things the old way we would all have Polio, Small Pox, or better yet Rabies. Medical advances and research are there to be utilized and grow from. Needless to say I took my dog somewhere else where come to find out he DIDNT HAVE PANCREATITIS and ate food as soon as it was offered to him. Sadly my poor 12 year old Lab was so far gone after Dr. Wades "treatment" I was forced to put him down 7 days after leaving his clinic. He lost so much muscle he never stood again after leaving Dr. Wades care and there was no coming back. The only positive thing I can say about this clinic is the girls that work in there are really great. They are extremely friendly and helpful. If your animal needs shots then you will be fine. If you have any kind of emergency or surgery RUN!!! Anywhere else will be better.

My ex wife took our family dog of 12 years to the Eighth street animal hospital week before last. Her new husband just got laid off. They drove 60 mile from Rankin to take Kit to the hospital. When they got there they only $60.00. That wasnt enough to start treatment. They drove back the 60 mile begged borrowed for $250.00. Drove back the 60 mile and admitted Kit. THE DIAGNOSIS PANCREATITIS. The Hospital called, and said that they needed more money, and that Kit was responding. They had no more money, so Wednesday, Vickie called Me, in California, Her ex Dan. I called the Hospital and agreed to pay the bill. So today FRIDAY the 13TH, they head 60 mile to pick up Kit, as they were told She was eating and ready to come home. When they got there. The Doctor told them Kit had died. TUESDAY. She explained no more money for treatment and they had called and told Vickie that. So Vickie asked her if when the money ran out, they just stopped treating Kit, and She died. The Vets Response YUP ! They even told Vickie MONDAY that kit was now in Boarder status and no longer a patient., and no longer in the hospital ward, as she was recovering.. I just want the staff to know at 8Th Street Animal Hospital, that I will still honor my agreement to pay the $160.00 I promised. They will not even release Kits body until the entire balance is paid. They had wanted to Cremate Her, and keep Her at Home. Now that cant happen. They cant afford both the balance and cremation. How sad that the treatment stopped, even though I am convinced the actual cost for medical supplies to treat Kit didnt exceed the $250.00. A Pet died, and a family lost a dear member, I lost a dear friend in Kit, and My two daughters grew up with Kit and they cant even keep Her ashes. Maybe when money over rules concern, its time to seek a new profession. I only dealt with Joanne before today, A Real great person to deal with. Dan

if I could rate a zero I most defiantly WOULD!!!! I took my pup into the vet week before last, where Dr.Wade told me my dog had a bacterial infection, gave her a huge shot sent her home with the rule no food or water and a check up the next morning! the next day I take her in telling them she didnt change much and was still refusing food or water, they gave her another shot did NOT proceed with any testing, blood work, NOTHING to see what the problem may be, sent her home again with can food and basically said she would be fine. a few hours later my dog started the vomiting again so I went with my mommy gut and took her to Angel vet clinic for a second opinion where my baby tested positive for PARVO!!! (she was a rescue, who had her booster shots which I guess were not enough, but they didnt want to give her full vaccinations without knowing what she had had before) so my dog had been sick for 3 days with this horrible virus and not once did dr wade test her for it! I called 8th street and asked why and how this was missed by their "vet" and they proceeded to tell me she had to be "shedding" the virus at the time for them to test! I guess throwing up and not eating or drinking wasnt enough for them! I told them I had basically wasted $200 in their office and not once did they say they were sorry or offer me a refund! my pup has thankfully beat this virus and will come home tomorrow! BUT rest assured I will NEVER recommend ANYONE I know to this vet! they are a joke!

Horrible place!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE!!! I took my 3months kitten there. I explained the staff and the vet that my kitten was not adopted from a shelter, I got it from the streets. I explained that my kitten had diarrhea, she scratches everywhere and also was sneezing since the very first visit and they did not check on her completely and said it was nothing. They didnt give me anything for worms, which is a basic rule. I had to come back for an emergency one week later to find out my kitten had a bacteria on her stomach and fever. They gave me an antibiotic for the bacteria on her stomach and that is it. I finally decided to take her to another vet, which is MUCH BETTER, this new vet found out that my kitten have been having an ear infection and a respiratory infection! They told me that it has been for so long that she was really sick by now!!! This is such a horrible place! Dont take your pets there, they just want to get rid of the line instead of giving to proper care to the animals.
