I was in a horrific auto accident and was referred to Dr. Palestine through my insurance company. She uses the Fraxel laser which is typically used for scars to diminish them over time. Not Completely remove. I went there once and I knew thats what I wanted. Well the lady that sets up appointments never set me up with another appointment, Id call and leave her a message or Id talk to her and she said shed call me back. Didnt happen. I dont know if this is normal practice since the procedure would be going through my insurance so maybe they dont get paid the full amount of the service. They seem to be all about the $$$ because she also tried to get me to buy some lotion instead of going through with the Fraxel treatment.

I have been to Dr. Gilman and she seemed genuinely interested in helping me at the Sibley location. I had a horrible skin erruption over a large -part of my body and the first avaiable was a male PA at the Bethesda Office. He walked in took a look and declared it was fungal even though I had large red elevations on my thighs with silver scales. Obiviously Psoriasis. I wont go back to him or anyone at The Dermatologist Center.

Not only did she not spend more than 4 min in the room with me, but they try to push over the counter products on you. When I asked for a new product because theirs did not work well, they acted liked they had never heard of the prescription brand I wanted. Absolutely overated and will not go back.

My experience was identical to Janices, published on 1/10/2011. She is only interested in pushing her own products and expensive procedures. She doesnt like prescription skin products because they work and she doesnt get the money.
