I have been a patient since 2009. Dr. Neal takes time with his patients and is not rushed to write a scrip and usher you out of his office. This may bother some if you are always in a hurry and looking for a quick turnaround. I appreciate the he does not mind answering questions and is very helpful. I went in to have some skin tags lasered off. He noticed that the skin at my hairline was dry and flaky offered some suggestions and wrote a prescription. It wasnt part of my official reason for visiting Dr. Neal that day, but I was grateful because something that I had written off as dandruff was actually a skin condition that could be treated easily and inexpensively. I guess its all in what you are looking for in a dermatologist. I highly recommend Dr. Neal and his staff. His office is located off of Columbia Pike which many think is a sketchy area in general. However, he is in a professional medical building with many other doctors. I would, and have, recommended Dr. Neal to anyone looking for a good dermatologist.

Dr Neal is always late. He even sees drug reps before his waiting patients when he is already late for their appointments. He never writes enough refills on his rxs to hold you over until your next appointment and refuses to give refills over the phone so you run out of medication before your follow-up appointment. He doesnt pay attention to his patients conditions and asks me every time I come in, "has that mole always looked like that" and I always say "thats what you said last time I was here." His response is always the same, okay we will look at it again next time you are here, yet he never makes note of it or takes a picture. His office is in a sketchy building and you have to pay $4 for parking regardless of how long you are there. they do not validate parking. I would not recommend Dr. Neal.

THANK YOU, DR. NEAL! I went to see Dr. Neal because of breakouts and pigmentation issues that Ive endured for years and the results were an extraordinary success. The treatment he prescribed enabled me to go without makeup for the first time in almost 25 years. He told me it would take about a month to get results but I was seeing drastic results within two weeks. The staff was super friendly and professional and have been a joy to see on my return visits. Ive called in with questions about prescriptions and theyre always helpful. There were no long waits and he spent adequate time with me in the exam room. Im so beyond thankful that I found him and Im referring him to everyone!

I went to see Dr Neal about a month ago. I spent 10 minutes waiting on his tiny waiting room and treated not too friendly by his staff. The receptionist was rude and never even say "Thank you" when returning my ID and Ins. card. They sent me a bill for 1/2 an hour consultation when I wasnt in his office for more than 15 minutes, Would I go back?, not a chance. Would I refer him?, not in this Century. Best advise, stay away.

My experience with Dr. Neal was great. The staff was extremely friendly & accommodating. I was promptly seen by Dr. Neal & given an accurate diagnosis. My face had some acne and breakouts that cleared up with the prescriptions he gave me. Overall I had a fantastic visit and the skincare routine he prescribed is still working. He comes very highly recommended.

Visit was relatively pointless. I didnt feel my needs were being properly addressed, all I received was a lab order for bloodwork. Was then referred to my general practitioner to go over the lab results, which turned out to be normal. Waste of $50.

Terrible customer service. Impossible to get through the phone. Never at the office even during office hours. Staff is extremely unproffesional and careless. Do not waste your time and money here. Find a better dermatologist instead.

Per my review of Washington Dermatology Consultants - they double charged me and will not fix the issue or return my voicemail. Stay far away if possible.
