First I want to say Ive been taken care of by Dr Mullen since the early 90s. You can tell alot about the integrity of a business as it will be matched by the head of that business. Dr. Mullen and his staff have always been great and I never had a problem with service, appts, and billing. This appears to have changed since Dr Stringer bought the practice. Ive had nothing but problems this year with appt schedules and billing especially. I had to have a new bridge put in. Dr Mullen as usual was wonderful. My problem stared when I had the appt in March 2013 I had to cancel it but made a new appt at the same time I cancelled. I then showed up to the rescheduled appt and they didnt have me down for the appt. So I missed work due to this and I found out that I and my insurance company had been billed for work not done. I was so angry for missing work and called a few days later to make another appt with Dr Mullen to do my bridge work. When it was done I was told to pay my portion of the bill which I was told was $2387 and the whole cost was $3265. I understand this is a business and because I blindly trusted Dr Stringer (she owns the business) like I used to when the practice belonged to Dr Mullen I paid it. This was a mistake. My next appt was approx 3 weeks after this to put my new bride in. I found out in between that time from my insurance that not only was I way over charged but that no one from Dr Stringers office even contacted me to say oooops we over charged you. I called the insurance company and found that Dr Stringers office received payment for the first claim they put in before the work was done and they got $1103 on 4/4/2013. When Mary called to confirm my appt for the bridge installation I told her at that I was over charged. She didnt seem interested in that to try and fix it. The day of my appt I talked to the other lady at the desk (Mary was out) and gave her copies of the insurance and I told her that I do not trust this office anymore. Under this new ownership they bill before the work is done, they dont tell you the correct price and the correct portion I am responsible for. I WILL NEVER PAY ahead of the insurance statement again. According to the insurance company the cost of the bridge work that was negotiated was $2206. The insurance company would pay Dr Stringers office $1103 which they received on 4/4/2013 and my portion was supposed to be $1103. They owe me $1284. I expect as fast as they want us to pay for service, the same curtesy for expediency should be given to refund my hard earned money that I over paid. Still waiting....its May 28. Ill keep writing to let every know how long it takes to get back my over payment. Later the afternoon of May 28th I received a call from Stuart Stringer. He was very professional and listened as I detailed out all that I had gone through since March. I can tell that he really wanted to get to the bottom of this problem so a clear set of events needed to be detailed out in order to understand where in the process broke down so no one else has to goes through this. He refunded the overcharge to my card as I requested. I will change this review to a VERY GOOD because I do appreciate Stuarts professional attention to getting this matter resolved. Thank you.

This place is FRAUD. Stay away from this horrible place and do not take any CHILDREN there. All these reviews are FAKE as this place itself. I just wanted to share my experience here so others do not get into trouble as I did. These people are TRAINED to do anything to make you pay more and more. It is a business for them. They do not care about your or your children health. If you are a parent, you have responsibility about your kids health. I do not know how the hell they got their licence and keep it. This place is a danger for public health and I will do my best to notify responsible authorities about it. If anyone else wants to share their experience please feel free to contact me. My lawyer is putting a case against this place. God Bless Reply to owners response: Well, here we go.... PLEASE take emotions out of this.... Dear owner, please accept that the world has changed. you cannot just do whatever you want to your customers and go away. specially when you are in healthcare. BTW, you are not the only one, so do not take it personal....I understand you look at this as business and your employees would like to keep their job but YOU CAN DO THAT WITHOUT BEING A FRAUD. The moment I arrived, your people were trying to sell me service. They kept taking images, My teeth and gum was bleeding all over, I could not believe what I was going through... All that was happening because they wanted to sell me service. The whole reason I put a review here is to share my experience with other people. You run business like a car dealership. but you are not. I am so sorry for your employees that in order to keep their job they have to do this. They are professional and educated people and they can get a job elsewhere. I am sure you are a smart person and understand that you cannot just fool people. I was in pain for two weeks because your employees wanted to convenience me that I need immediate care.... I just shared my first hand experience. if others would like to ignore and visit your 5 STAR healthcare place they can.

I recently moved back to the area. I have never had any luck finding a good dental practice in the Frederick area. I either really like the dentist and not the staff or the dentist/staff try to sell me a car while im there. (not really, but you know what I mean :) ). I was really nervous about trying yet another dental practice but my daughter was experiencing some swelling in her gum and needed to find a place quick. I chose this practice because shortly after we moved in we received a flyer and a magnet from them (in the mail) welcoming us to the neighborhood. Their hours were extremely appealing and seeing that they are an all-in-one dental facility also means that should we need anything other than the regular dental care we shouldnt have to go to another practice. With all that said I absolutely recommend PearlFection Dentistry. I havent been to a dental practice as inviting, informative and friendly as PearlFection Dentistry in a very long time. It was a pleasant experience from making the appointment to checking out. Getting a same day appointment was easy to do which is a bonus. Randala greeted us at check-in with a positive attitude and a great big smile. The hygenist, Alicia, was wonderful. You can tell she enjoys what she does. The appointment was for my 9yo and she is actually looking forward to going back in 6 mos. to get a check up. Alicia took the time to review proper oral hygiene with my daughter. gave her lots of tips. even went through the motions with her to make sure she understood how to properly brush. I was really impressed. Dr. Stringer then came in and did a quick assessment and gave us even more tips. Finally we checked out with Melissa. She was just as pleasant as the rest of the staff. This was probably the best experience I have ever had at a dental practice. Highly recommend. looking forward to my appointment next week.
