I went to Bright Now Dental back in 2009. They were the only doctor that accepted my absolutely horrible company insurance plan. When I went for my initial visit, they took X-rays and tried to tell me I had several cavities, including one under a tooth that had been sealed. They tried to get me to schedule an appt to have these filled, but since I had had no cavities in my life and was experiencing no symptoms, I declined. They also wanted me to get my teeth whitened, and I declined that as well, again since my previous dentist had to fix a chip I got when I was young and out right said that I have "the whitest teeth possible". I just scheduled a teeth cleaning. My schedule changed so I was available at different times of day and they were very unaccommodating, insisting I had to see the same dentist whose schedule conflicted greatly with my preferences. I finally made it in, having to settle for a 4pm time slot, and I spent more time in the waiting room than getting my teeth cleaned. Im assuming my hygienist just wanted to get out, which is just poor work ethic. I switched jobs and lost the insurance and was unable to see a dentist until 2012. I had more selection and found a highly recommended one (Dr. Amini) and they confirmed what I had suspected three years earlier—I had NO visible cavities! This place is a scam. They didnt even tell me upfront that my insurance wouldnt pay for the mandatory new patient X-rays, but since I was young and insurance was a new thing for me to be handling alone, I had no idea that was a possibility. So I had a surprise $90 to pay. Its my fault for not checking with my insurance beforehand, and it was a life lesson learned. They sent reminder post cards and I have emailed the company a few times to cancel them. I do get a reply and a promise, but the cards still come once in awhile. I just throw them out, but since I could not confidently denounce the dentists claim that I had cavities, I wanted to share my experience.

I was not allowed back for my 8 year olds cleaning. They came back & said she had 2 cavities on her baby teeth. I asked to speak to the doctor to receive more information. They said he was busy. They had me schedule an appointment to meet with him. When I met with Dr. Panetti he seemed half confident that she needed her teeth filled. I asked him if he was saying that when they got in there to drill (clean) & fill he would know more. Again, no clear straight answer. He said I should of had him call me back after the initial visit to discuss her cavity diagnosis. I told him they did not give me that option. Why would I have him fill 2 cavities on my 8 year old if he seems wishy washy about whether they need to be filled? Wouldnt look me in the eye & smirked the entire time. Ive also had 2 other negative experiences. I set an appointment to have my other daughters panoramic x ray requested by the orthodontist. Got there & they were out of film. Told me it was first come first serve...but I had an appointment!! Told me that I had gingivitis & said I needed to floss in this one particular area. I have been flossing regularly for years. Saw a periodontist & he said I did not have gingivitis, that the area was sensitive since my tooth never came down completely as a child. He told me that the dentist should avoid being too rough in that area & that any recession that I might get would be a good thing since it never came down properly. Meanwhile Ive endured painful cleanings in that area that were not necessary in addition to the insult that it was my fault for not flossing well enough.

Please dont waste your time. I work for an insurance company and let me just say, this particular office employees customer service is nowhere near satisfactory. Firstly, I scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance just to get a vm 1 day before my scheduled appt stating they were going to have to reschedule my appt. When I called in to see if a different Dentist could assist me the front desk clerk had a snooty attitude and didnt even try to accommodate. HA! Picture that, Im spending my hard earned money and the least you could do is look. So, anyways I went on and rescheduled my appointment for the following week. Granted, I will admit I was 5 mins late to my appointment but as soon as I walked in there was no "hello, how are you?" just a "whats your name?", I told her my name and she looks at the clock then turns back around to tell me "well Ill have to see if the doctor is available because you are 10 mins late". So, is there no grace period being that you inconvenienced me and my schedule. Your telling me 5-10mins is a "bye, see you later?". Of course, she comes back to tell me in a nonchalant way, "the doctor is going to have to reschedule" , I just turned to her and said "Its okay I will just find another dentist office to go to". I just think it was extremely unprofessional and tacky for them to turn me away being that I compromised for them but they werent willing to do the same. I have a small business aside from my full-time and I would never treat a customer like that. I usually dont leave negative reviews but I couldnt let this go unnoticed!!! Do not waste your time or money here.

My husband and I had a pretty bad experience with the office staff every time we were there. First of all we had the cleaning is not included with the first visit: its just and examination. Then the office never called to schedule the appt for his cleaning (he says they were supposed to). Then, when I finally scheduled his visit, he had to wait 4 months!!! Once he got to the appt. the office staff had trouble verifying our insurance even though it had not changed and wed been there 3 times(between the two of us). The office staff was really rude and wouldnt do his cleaning without verification. I called the insurance myself to find out what was going on and the insurance said they had not received a verification call that day... So my insurance called them! to give the go ahead. It was now 45 minutes past appt time and they said they needed to reschedule his appt. I might add my husband rearranged his whole schedule for the appt that day... Definitely do not recommend.

Their receptionists are very rude at Brite Now Dental on Thomas Johnson Drive in Frederick. Also, appointments can only be scheduled 4 months out, so you cant even make your return appointment at the time of your visit. You have to call back which I find frustrating. They do not clean your teeth on your first visit. Also, their computer or their receptionists are making errors on their appointment times. They tell me one thing and when I get there, I find out that there was no appointment afterall. This has happened twice so now I double check before I get in the car to go to an appointment. The three dentists my kids have seen are not very friendly. They all want my kids to get braces too when I do not think their teeth are that bad.
