Last night (which was a Sunday) my husband had a dental issue that we thought was an emergency. We looked up "emergency dentist" online and Dr. Skvoraks office number showed up. I called and the recorded message gave Dr. Skvoraks personal number to call during an emergency. Unfortunately, we had to wake him up but he assured us that it would be okay to wait until the next morning to make an appointment. Today we arrived at the office. We had to explain our complicated situation. We temporarily moved out to Maryland from Chicago to take care of my sick father (he has brain cancer) and then to move the whole family out from Maryland to California by the end of this week, so we are only in the area for a few more days. To make things worse, we dont have any dental insurance they could accept (out of state HMO). Noreen, who was at the front desk was so polite and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and she let us know wed work something out with billing after the appointment. The dental hygienist, Jess, was very patient and willing to answer all of our questions. Dr. Skvorak was understanding, very informative, and straight to the point. He let us know step by step what my husband would go through with a dentist once he gets to California. He let us know it was extremely important to get this taken care of as soon as we have a chance and it would be best to stick with the same dentist throughout the whole process (which would require multiple appointments for cleaning procedures and follow-ups). After the appointment, we went up to the front desk. We were told that this would be a courtesy appointment... I was speechless, and then, I hate to admit, I started to cry! With everything going on with my fathers decline in health and having to figure out this move across the country, and then this unexpected dental situation, this was one the most helpful and kindest things anyone, including medical professionals, has done for us. I am amazed that a dentist and his staff would be willing to see a patient who could not promise to come back for follow up appointments and be this kind. If I were to stay here in Maryland, I would drive from Rockville to Frederick just to see Dr. Skvorak again. I highly, highly recommend this practice. Thank you Dr. Skvorak and staff. You have touched my heart more than youll ever know.

I have been going to Skvorak for probably 15 years or so. Previously, I had always had a major problem with pain while getting fillings and work done in one particular area of my mouth. Dr. Skvorak figured out that I had additional nerve growth in that area, which is not always common. He made note of this and every time they need to fill a cavity in that area, he first reads the notes about me beforehand and applies extra Novacane to those nerves. He also waits additional time for me to get completely numb before doing any procedures. I think that he goes beyond what most dentists would do, he uses a system that actually works for customer care, and always ensures the best possible comfort for me that can be provided during procedures. They are truly dental excellence just like they advertise and have state of the art equipment also. I would actually be very afraid to try anywhere else.

Havent been to the Dr in years.... Was given this office information from a friend of mine they were quick in scheduling me for my first appointment and the ones that had followed.. I just love this office everyone is so friendly and Dr skvorak is just awesome he repaired my fillings and insisted I listen to my ear buds while in the chair getting my work done never experienced such a great visit to the dentist my phobia has completely left I trust him with all decisions and dont hesitate to any suggestions he may have regarding my health.

Always a great experience from the friendly atmosphere to the knowledgeable folks that you come in contact with. Dr. Skvorak is great and Jess is the best dental hygienist I have ever had. Of course greeted by the always friendly and cheerful Noreen to get you on and out with out issues. Highly recommended for your dental care.
